There's always going to be people that try to "beat the system". First, smoke detectors are
actually particle detectors and can
easily be set off by anything like dust, etc. think of a tiny light beam that loses intensity as smoke or dust drift in between causing the receiver to register "something" in the air. Second, as stated repeatedly already, do you
really want to find out if their detectors are better or more sensitive than the ones in your home and suffer the horrendous consequences of that mistake?!?!
Get yourself some nicotine gum or a patch for the flights! SMH
Reflecting on the events that have transpired on airlines in the last 15 years or so, if I saw smoke/vapor coming out of a lavatory or the alarm went off on a plane I was on, it probably wouldn't be a pleasant experience for the occupant....
especially if my children were with me! I'm just saying......
