Citric acid can clean atomizers as it disolves the residue left over from nic/juice on the coil( chemist welcome to jump in with the "numbers")

water + aspoonful of citric acid in a little ultrasonic cleaner = squeaky clean atomizer
(rinse it well before use with distilled water, then vodka to get rid of water, blow out excess vodka, prime and vape away

do you mean the ultrasonic cleaner "machine" (for lack of a better word) or the solution you put in it?

if you mean solution, then how much water, how much soution, how much citric acid?

still looking for the answer to my original question:

Any chemistry folks out there who know what adding citric acid to e-juice does? (raise/lower ph, increase TH etc)?

but thanks so much for the cleaning tip!
I knew there was a reason I bought some... lol Now just have to buy some vodka :)

VTVapor said it was used to balance pH...

I've always know Citric Acid as a PH adjuster, but maybe in this case it's to add a sweetness to the flavors. I have a feeling people who make flavors are like perfumers, it probably is a complicated job.

Scubabatdan, call me dense but I can't for the life of me find the ingredients for the tart stuff. It does sound fun to try though.

It is not on the web site... When I get home this afternoon I will list all the ingredients on the bottles label.

Ok so what about this?
https://www.lorannoils.com/p-9000-tart-sour-flavor-boost.aspx

It has Citric acid in it, and is Waaaaay tart :p
I ordered this by thinking I could make some tart flavors.
But was unsure when I saw the ingredients.
What do yall think?
Dan

Ingredient for Tart and Sour are: Citric Acid, Water, Malic Acid, Sodium Citrate. per email from Lorann.

I recently learned that citric acid is used to make citric flavors (lemon, lime, orange) sour and maltic acid is used for non-citrus i.e., apple, etc.

There is one shop about 30 miles from me that sells malic acid (look for wine-making supply shops). Nxt time I'm over there, I'll pick some up to try to make sour apple.

Yep that is what it says Citric Acid, Water, Malic Acid, Sodium Citrate. So if I use some of this in one of my recipies like apple, or strawberry will it go tart and/or give a better throat hit?
Hmmmmmm

I read that VTVapor adds the citric acid to adjust the PH. The purpose of adjusting the PH is to bring it to a spot more likely to be absorbed in your lungs. I cant remember where exactly I read this but I will troll around some today and see if I can link back to the source of this information.
