Has anyone been to a Bar or Restaurant-Bar in North Dakota since Tuesday? Have you asked them how they feel about the new smoking and vaping ban? It's best to fight these things when they are new. I remember back in February of this year, a state representative from Illinois tried to amend the 2008 smoking ban to allow smoking bars, casinos, pool halls, and private clubs. It lost 30-82. With every passing second, it makes it harder and harder to protect our rights as private property owners.

On a side note I know that I read an article in a paper here in Montana about a bar owner that refuses to enforce the no smoking rule in her bar. She has been fined time and time again, she says it is her bar and if you don't like smoking in a bar go to a different one lol. My dad was the same way he would be at the front counter of any of his number of businesses with a cig hanging out of his mouth even after smoking bans, he said nobody was going to tell him what he could do on his property but he also believed y2k was going to get us and then planet x and now I believe it's the zombies are coming lol.

How many businesses that spent $10,000 or more to construct shelters to protect smokers from the elements have torn down 67% of the walls on those shelters, or else put up No Smoking signs on them?

Also, the shelters have to be 20 feet from entrances. I don't know how that's going to work out. And I thought Illinois's smoking ban was draconian for private businesses.
