iatty is @ 2.2ohms kick is set max 10 watts ;)
I have a feeling Brandon will raise the limit before they start shipping. A few changes to a few lines of software is all it takes. The Darwin's hardware limit is MUCH higher than the current 12.7 so I can't see why the Kick can't go up a few more watts if the demand is there.

I don't think it'll happen due to insurance reasons... the darwin is a sealed unit with a dedicated battery that can handle the output required. This being a drop in unit, you can't gaurantee what battery people will try to use with it (there's a lot of cheapies out there) Using a battery that can't take the demand of the boost circuitry could pose a threat of battery failure and a liability issue.

There's a massive liability difference between 10 watts and 12?

yeah thats a pretty good point, people could strain a battery plenty just being at ten watts. Also, I would assume all it would take is a terms and conditions stating use at your own risk and use with imr batts only.

Clyde or B-Rad I know you are restricted on how much info you can give to the GP but can you give us an idea on run time and or ml/battery life you are getting?

It's entirely wattage setting dependent, assuming a standard voltage atty/carto. That said, I'm getting very similar run-times and juice usage out of AW IMR 18650s as I was getting using a 1.5ohm atty in the UFS, and a much more consistent vape. For a large value of "much more consistent".

Nice surprise...accidentally discovered that like the Darwin, the Kick seems to calculate the ohms of the atty and compensate for it based upon the wattage. In other words, my 18650 was powering up a 5ohm 801 atty quite nicely. I can kick myself for selling my iAtty now, the Kick should make this tank much more usable-no more fretting that you ended up with a 2.2 ohm coil instead of a 1.6.

I'm getting an extender tube for my GGTS (Luv ya, Brucie!) and some 18500's, so I'm going all in.

This thing appears to be solid as a block of granite...had a few misfires, but it has something to do with my TS needing servicing. Maximum conductivity is a lot more important when your mod's only hanging on by a thread or two, ergo the need for more battery and size choices.

Right now, I'm using a bonuted LR510 with an AW 14500. Doesn't last terribly long, but a) I've got a pocket full of them, and b) I'm sitting in my office today with my good old trustfire charger. I can use a 18650 with a 801 and 901 using the GG native 510 to 901 connector with 18650's, but the connectivity issues are more pronounced. Yeah, I realize I've spent $100 in accessories to use this trial mod, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be worth it. Another bit of good news is that the kicked GGTS doesn't appear to have the same problem as my unmodified version in accidentally impaling 510 attys.

And come on guys, you shouldn't be jealous.*

*Honestly, you should be VERY jealous!

Not really....Imeo's busier than a one legged man in an :censored:-kicking contest. New UFS, iAtty2...you can only do so much at once if you have high standards. As impatient as I am, I'd rather wait for quality items.

*Admittedly, waiting is a LOT easier now!

You get disapointed very easy Carol hahaha
Darwin made its move sooner than me. Thats not a problem for anyone. I am making something real nice, no worries. I just need time. I have the know how but I dont have the time I want:)
Anyone else slightly dissapointed we haven't seen the GGVV, (Has it been named yet?) before this?

:) Yes I know time limitations and other projects have delayed it; we do have Odysseus. :)
I also meant dissapointed, as in my pride for all things GG is very high, like a love/belief in a football team.
Did you really need that holiday though. jk.

Even if GGVV will be something superior, I always pay more attention to feeding systems. Thats is the most difficult part of vaping and thats the most important part that we all need to be satisfied. Better atomizers with better features and better control. VV is something that everyone makes, its an easy part to my opinion.
