I did some research last year trying to find where ECBlend gets their organic flavors. I prefer artificial flavors now for supposedly being safer and having less environmental impact, but I really liked the ECB organics compared to the artificial flavors I tried and I DIY now so won't just buy the ECB again most likely.

I noticed ECB has flavors like gooseberry and Blueberry Cheesecake which was uncommon to find just searching something like 'organic gooseberry flavor/flavoring' or to be found on popular general-use organic flavoring sites. I know Nature's Flavors has a gooseberry and a lot if not all the unordinary organic flavors that ECB has but I know %99 that the banana, watemellon, strawberry and a few other flavors ECB has are not from NF because I bought a whole bunch of NF flavors. ECB's is much smoother and just tastes different. But it could be possible that ECB uses multiple suppliers and that the unordinary flavors they have that I've never tried like Gooseberry are from NF but the watermelon, banana, strawberry etc are from another source.

I got an ECB chemist to tell me their juice (and thus flavoring) doesn't contain water. I knew not to ask directly where they get their flavorings, so when they asked why I was asking all these questions, I just said because I was concerned if the water was distilled or not. Anyway, so I sort of foiled the whole project when I found out about artificial flavors being supposedly safer and less environmental impact and deleted the file that sort of omitted certain websites for general-use organic e juice-safe water-free flavorings. I bought a bunch of Capella's artificial flavorings, banana, strawberry, watermelon, mango (amazing IMHO), coconut, anise, pineapple, etc but much prefer the flavor of the ECB ones. So rather than buy a bunch of other artificial flavors from other suppliers hoping it will be as good as ECB's, I'm wondering if anyone happens to know or have an idea of where ECB gets their flavors? Another one I'm looking for is Virgin Vapor's organic Blooming Jasmine %100 VG, I know it's not NF's organic Jasmine.

Not only could they be using different sources for different flavors, chances are they are blending flavors. Even a simple strawberry can contain strawberry from more than one supplier plus other flavorings in small amounts that are nothing near strawberry but accent and enhance.

Medicine Flower is a high quality organic flavoring producer and does not contain water.

Organic Flavors

"We do NOT sell so-called "Natural Flavors" (also known as "Natural Analogs") which are actually synthesized in a lab. All of our products are made from the material named on the label."

that's a first. I've always read organic flavors don't come from the actual titled flavor like this supplier says they have, I.e. their banana flavor comes from bananas. I'll have to research if these are safe to vape and is vegan. thanks.

How are the chemicals for artificial flavors produced? It's not like there's no impact there either, the chemicals have to come from somewhere be it organic or artificial.

I don't know which actually has a bigger environmental impact. Just giving some places that might put organics over artificial.

Artificial flavors are actually usually by-products from petroleum production. Petroleum for making fuel. So basically, the flavors are already coming from a source of something we're making. They basically go in and change the molecules and stuff around and then it somehow taste like banana, coconut, or bacon etc. Mind blown.

Natural flavors however, the ones we use for vaping, are more than likely only created for the sake of flavor concentrates. They have to go out into exotic places sometimes and scrape bark off trees leaving them to die, dig up roots and chop down plants just for a small flower bud or something and then they refine the heck out of these plant sources until they get compounds to make flavors. And the final product might still technically be a chemical. In other words, natural banana flavor (that we use for vaping) does not come from a banana, it comes from a plant extract(s) that happens to taste like banana. If the plant source is organic (no chemical pesticides or fertilizers used to grow), then you have an Organic natural flavor.

But as noted, I'm stumped how Medicine Flower says their natural flavors are derived from the actual titled flavor, I.e their banana concentrate comes from bananas. Everyone says that's not possible for vape'able fruit flavors. People extract flavors at home like coffee, cinnamon, and tobacco, but I haven't heard of anyone successfully extracting fruits/vegetables for e liquid. Essential oils are natural and usually from the titled flavor but many are not safe to vape.

Artificials are mostly considered safer than natural flavors even though they are often said to be chemically identical. Artificial coloring however might be really bad, but I don't think any vape'able flavors have coloring.

At first I figured vaping natural and organic would be the best choice from an ethical standpoint thinking that natural organic has a lower impact to create and is less likely to be tested on animals. But you read how artificials are generally safer than naturals meaning that both were apparently tested on animals. And something that's natural but refined to the point where it could technically be called a chemical, such as a natural flavor, is probably required by FDA to be tested before being sold.
If I omitted the flavor and vaped flavorless (which I enjoy sometimes %100VG), it's doesn't omit the animal testing or environmental impact because the VG was also probably tested on animals or manufactured by a company like DOW that tests on animals. I would have to water down the %100VG which would barely vape. But as I've said before, there are much worse things to consider cutting out that one might not expect that contributes to animal testing, and it probably takes like 500 gallons of VG to contribute 1 penny towards testing. Whether it's required by FDA approval or just some company that tests on animals in hopes to sell the data, pretty much everything is tested on animals. But they might actually finally do away with it due to the much more precise stem cell research. Even buying lots of broccoli could cause some anti-broccoli company to give a bunch of lab rabbits cancer or something and then feed them a broccoli-only diet in hopes to say that broccoli isn't healthy and fight for market share for dairy or something. Even if you buy a GE lightbulb, GE tests on animals.

From Medicine Flower.Hi.

We have alot of vape customers.

Large and small.

Our flavors are certified organic and can be used in a variety of applications.

It is up to the customer to make sure its safe for their industry.

We are aware of the other flavor companies, and have many companies switch to our flavors

because they are concentrated, and do not contain any diluent s.

Our products are vegan, with 2 exceptions. The butterscotch and caramel, which start with raw organic cream.

The final product does not contain any proteins, carbohydrates, or sugar, therefore it is a lactose free product.

Our essential oils are food grade. If prepared properly, they can be used in a variety of applications as well.

Of course, it is vitally important to be aware of which ones can be used for your specific industry.

May this answer your questions.

Attached is our lead sheet of the flavors we offer. Most are in stock. Others will require a minimum purchase.

Any additional questions, let us know.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your interest in our flavors.

Best Regards

I would imagine these flavors are safer than the other natural flavors which I mentioned are made from highly refining plants that aren't the actual titled flavor I.e. not from a strawberry/banana/almond/etc, and are from tree bark and things like that and more environmentally demanding).

Without added alcohol for most flavors, it must give a super smooth %100 VG vape. "Ingredient: organic flavor extract*
*Apricot, Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin, Orange and Rum flavors require additional alcohol extraction and may contain up to 5% residual grain alcohol."
