Just looking out for your safety, I would strongly advise NOT dismantling batteries. The cheap switch and 510 connector you might be able to salvage without breaking them are worth a couple bucks new and easy to obtain. The potential scars and loss of vision from battery fluid..... Well just don't. Please. Take apart an old mod or something leave the batteries in one piece :)

But of course. Among others Scottbee has like here:

And for what can be done with them, this still deserves respect: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/product-feature-design-requests/70591-dream-pvs.html

I am talking about popping off the end cap of the steel container that the battery is held in - not the battery itself... I am assuming that there is a battery inside. I am wondering if the shell is reusable???

If this is a bad idea - then I will abandon the thought, but it seems there should just be a battery inside and I am curious as to what type.

Thanks - that is what I expected to see.

I was just wondering just how replaceable it would be vs buying the entire assembly ($5 vs $18). I did that with my electric shaver when it died and with a rechargeable flashlight with no troubles so I was wondering the feasibility of doing it with one of these... Also I am just the curious type that likes to toy with things.

I cannot bring myself to take apart a working item, but once it stops it becomes fair game...

Thanks. I have been looking for a tube mod that uses replaceable batteries more along the line of the 650mah or 900mah size, but not priced at $99+. Joye has come out with an 18650 mod that is only $20 (plus batter costs), but the size is to big for a shirt pocket. So since no one makes what I want then I am looking at other options.

As I said, I like to toy with things, so I figure if I can do it with a shaver / flashlight then I should be able to do it with one of these - at least until the controllers break...not going to try to replace one of them... I can do this until someone makes one that is along the line of what I want, but with the Joye quality built in. I like the size of these - easy to carry about - do not want a large PV that needs a holster to carry around...

Disassemble the batteries if you absolutely shure what you are doing and understand all danger of this procedure. If you do, you shure can disassemble a battery and use its spare parts. If not, treatment of your eyes and hands could be much more expensive than any DIY. These accumulators can really explode or fire if you, say, short them.

P.S. Always use a big glasses to protect your eyes and face, just in case, and better use a gloves.

I've taken a bunch of them apart. It's really difficult to remove both caps without scratching or dinging them. It also depends on the battery, some are easier than others. For what they cost (cheap), I don't think it's worth trying to repair them. You can salvage stuff off them, nothing much of interest for me though. Maybe the connector and the tube, I saved a few of them but haven't found any use for them yet.

i know a way to remove this caps without scratching. First you must have a ego-t broken atty, or good :), screw this atty to connector. After with a soft rubber hummer beat easy around batt connector, make pressure left to right, easy, many times until connector it`s release :)

For Biansi batt, can remove without hammer, connector it`s not glued and it`s removed easy.
