Just curious if anyone else gets really bad cotton mouth after chain vaping for a few hours. I've been drinking a ton of water all day every day so i'm not even close to being dehydrated. It might be worth mentioning that i've only been vaping for 1 week.

It's normal with vaping to get dry mouth, no worries :p as long as you keep a bottle of water near you, you'll be perfectly fine.

Vaping is very dehydrative, the reason for this is that pg metabolizes into sugar and vg into lactic acid. Both require water in you embody to do so and it will dehydrate you! Drink water or juices to keep up you hydration and you will be A-ok

so if I took like 10 ml of pure PG or VG and swallowed it I would like shrink up like a raisin because everyone is sayin that just 2-3 ml of vaping ejuice I need to drink like a gallon more of water each day...??

The more the clouds, the drier the throat and mouth. Part of the vapor you exhale is a result of ecig vapor combining with the moisture in your mouth and sinuses, and I suppose, the moisture in your lungs.

If you aren't drinking at least 8 full glasses of water or water bearing liquids a day, you will become dehydrated to some extent. The first sign is dry mouth. Dehydration progresses from there. Sugarless peppermint helps. Stay away from constant use of sugar mints or your dentist will make large amounts of money. :) I like peppermint Breath Savers (sugarless) to fix dry mouth.

The rule I learned was you weight in pounds divided by 2, is the number of oz's of water to drink a day regardless of exercise or anything else. so I weigh 180ish, thats 90 oz minimum, so a gallon isnt too far off

I already suffer drymouth from the plethora of medications I have to take, so vaping makes my mouth feel as though it's full of sand.

In my personal experience anyway, drinking water was not the answer. Sure, my mouth would be nice and moist directly after taking a swig, but in no time flat I was right back to sand. For me, iced tea and Gatorade both work much better as far as keeping my mouth moist feeling. I guess it's simply the added ingredients.
