I used 2mm ekowool that I normally use for my RBAsand my patriot but it didn't work too well.switched to 1.5 silica and still it's not working correctly.I'm using thirty gauge kanthal with a three four wrap.my strawberry cupcake or my starship 1 is tasting how thier suppose to.I'm kind of bummed.any advice?

Find the kayfun Lite thread. They can help you more. My experience is a 3/4 wrap is too few on mine, even though I normally use a 3/4 wrap on most other devices. I went with 4mm ekowool and then ended up pulling out at least half of the wick that sticks in the well. It keeps the part wrapped thicker but still good wicking and draw.

Dude the Kayfun Lite brings out so much flavor in my juices. Did you make sure that your wick is not blocking the grooves on the bottom of the base? I tried to do the figure 8 thing when I first got my Kayfun and mine didn't work either. On my first build, did a 2mm ekowool folded in half. It still was not wicking very well, so I just took it apart and trimmed the wick until mine worked well.

i run one on a mech at .9 ohms and one a provari at 1.8 ohms.

I have found in my own tinkering, its not so much the wraps but the amount of wicking material. everytime i tried a single wick the results were horrible, now on both of mine I run doubled 3mm, the .9 is 29g ribbon. the 1.8 is 32g round. i make sure the ends/loops are not longer then the base or shelf and I think this is the most important part.
then after putting on the chimney tube. i take a small screwdriver and make sure all the wick end is down in the sides I have had no problems with blocked channels or flooding either. on the mech from fresh battery to 3.4 ish volts i get wicked clouds.

For me, the best kayfun builds are micro coils with cotton wicks. 10 or 11 wraps of 28g kanthal around a 16g needle or drill bit. The wick is plain old sterile cotton, from cotton balls, pulled through the already mounted coil. The Kayfun Lite thread in the Rebuildable Atomizer section has a lot of information about building them.
