I am new to vaping and recently purchased an Envy ecig (2010 model.) I was impressed by the way vapor simulates smoke and the lack of odor. However, I was not impressed by the flavor of the Envy brand carts or by their longevity. You can't get a refund on them and I can't afford another ecig at the moment, so, instead of getting more nasty envy carts I decided to refill the ones I had.

At first it seemed to go well but I noticed the refilled carts didn't last long at all and had less vapor. The taste of the eliquid was much better though. Frustrated with constantly cleaning and filling carts I decided to try something I had seen in some of the videos, dripping. This seems to work far more efficiently than refilling the cartridges. I popped the filler and the cap out of the cart so it's more or less a tip, now I'm getting a really nasty burned taste. I'm using 2 drops.:nah:

Is it something I did or could it be that I have a really strong liquid (menthol 24mg)? Any help would be great.

I think envycig is not a registered supplier here, at least not yet, but welcome to the ECF forum.

I also think the 2010 model is a three piece, because it says it comes with a battery and an atomizer.

I really don't know about the three piece electronic cigarettes too much, tho many here do. Now that you found ECF forum, welcome, and notice all the many registered suppliers at the bottom of the long list of subforums. The suppliers even have their own subforums. Maybe envycig will join in and register too.

good luck and welcome

Thanks for the welcome. I've already decided that my next PV will be either the joye eGo or the wicked tornado. The battery life on this little Envy isn't very good. Not a very good deal for it's price I'd have to say after seeing some of the other options out there. But it's the actual size of an analog and has decent vapor (out of the box anyway.)

Maybe your not getting it wet enough and getting a burnt taste try adding double the amount, if not rince your Atty under hot water, blow out dry once dry real good drip drip a couple drops on it and try again, if thats not it try a new atty

I'll give that a try in the morning. Too late at night for that much work. :D

Could it be the brand of juice?
I have no idea, but eventually someone may know more. I know that in the beginning you need about 12 posts or something to post in the subforums, but yu can still browse everywhere here at ECF.

Look for info. about the 3 piece models, which is what I think you have.
I use the 2 piece model from vapor4life, I never have to worry about buying spare atomizers, because they're built into the disposable cartomizer.

Someone else, though, will probably answer more questions. But welcome, and stay well informed here at ECF.

I was considering the VK. I got the envy because they carry it at a local gas station. I actually got my juice from V4L. I was "referred" to them by a post I read on this site and got a good deal on the eliquid.

As far as the new member thing goes that's partially the point of this topic, lol. Oh well, it's a good rule to reduce spammers.

Envy was my first ecig. I hate to break it to you but, they suck. tough it out till you can get something better. vaporkings is pretty cheap. try a 510.

Ha ha! I'm going to have to agree with you on that one. Sucks about the $50 bucks I spent on this garbage product.

I still feel better in the 6 days I've been using it though. Just goes to show how bad cigarettes are for you. I'm really enjoying the little bit of extra energy I've gotten so far. My friends and neighbors have already noticed it too. Same with the lack of smell. I'd have to say, burnt taste or no, I still prefer this over an analog.

Thanks for the advice. By the way, Nice avatar.

Can't go wrong with the 510 for a new e-cigarette user. This kit appears to be the best bang for Your buck out there.

If You want the extra battery life and a slightly better performing pv, try the eGo. Not sure about this being the best deal on the eGo, but its gotta be close, great deal.

Oh and also, people absolutely rave about the simplicity of cartomizers. There just carts You screw directly on the battery that contain a built in atomizer. Basically You just pop them on and go. If You like simple things like me, I'd advise getting a 510 kit or the eGo (both devices use the same parts, everything I own works with 510's) and getting some cartomizers. You can get the pre filled ones in various flavors, or get blanks and fill your own with whatever juice You like. (You can refill the pre filleds also)

You can get a pretty good deal on those here, if thats sparks your interest. 510 Mega Cartomizers

Well, you've already tried an entry level. If money is an issue, then yes, the 510 is probably a better bet... but that doesn't cure the battery life situation, and may lessen depending on how long the Envy lasts.

Ego\rnad\alibur\etc whatever each vendor calls it, is a solid producer, and you can get a nice kit for about the same as a good 3.7-7.4v mod. Or you can just go straight for a mod, but the costs will definitely inflate due to not getting all the bundles of an ego style starter kit. Most come with 2 batts/atty and 5 carts, and will last you a significant while longer than the 510, and the Envy. Mods generally just come with the mod and little else in terms of bundled readiness for out of the box vaping.

I heard they are coming out with 12 or 1300 mAh eGo's as well very soon, so holding off till you get the available funds is not necessarily a bad thing. Even longer lasting battery! The current one is 650 mAh if I am not mistaken.
