The average nicotine strength used based on polls on the various vaping sites is 24mg. So, no, not surprised.

Another factor in vaping success or rather being able to better simulate the "inhaled feel" of an analog, is warmth of the vapor which goes along with nicotine strength. The more power your PV can provide, the warmer the vapor. There have been many posts that state once a user moves up to a 5 volt or variable volt PV, they were able to lower their nicotine strength. It might be something you should consider. A couple of good options are:

5 volt GLV2: Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor

5 volt Box Mod: Box Mods

Variable volt Darwin: NHaler • Smoking Alternatives

yep...i seem to fluctuate....but i think it really has more to do with coming off cigarettes and body cleansing itself than actual nicotine. also high voltage or variable voltage seems to be the way to go as sometimes i just want a smooth soft vape...other times, like right now lol, i want a good hard hit! Variable voltage is gonna be my next purchase for sure. i personally dont worry about the nic level too much since i am no longer smoking. if i decide to wean myself off nicotine...i can do it anytime i want and it will be easy =)
may your vaping be long lasting!

You didn't say how much you smoked but I'll assume around a pack a day. If that's the case I'm actually kind of surprised that 6mg did it for you for a month. I was a PAD smoker and started off at 18mg to try to match the amount of nicotine I was getting from analogs. A month later I'm still using 18mg, but I can throw an 11/12 in there for a good part of the day without any problem. I hope to keep stepping the levels down over time. Sounds to me like you starting off at 6mg just isn't matching your old cravings for nic. Not sure why it was ok for a month and not now though...maybe your body just now figured out you pulled a fast one on it lol.

Starspecks...I started on 36mg for the first 2 months but I smoked 4 PAD. I went the other way and dropped my nic level. With everything you are going through right now, I can see why you are increasing your intake. Just hand in there. It will level off.

I was 1.5 pad marlboro lights. I didn't even think stress and being immobile is probably EXACTLY what's going on! Oops! I guess I'll just continue chain vaping... :p

Edit: I am currently doing research on a VV! Glad to know at times like these I could up the voltage!

I started with low stuff, found 12mg worked for me (PAD or more). I've since gone up to 18mg, tried higher (did 24mg for a week, didn't like it). For me, 18mg seems to be right with my vaping style (pretty much non-stop all day). While I did vape less often at 24mg, just didn't feel right...
