I smoked for 28 years. Camel none filters, Camel Full strength filters, Camel lights, Pipe tobacco. I once quit for 3 years. I opened a business, had growing pains, started smoking again. I picked up right where I started, smoking 2 packs a day. Felt like I never stopped. Eighteen months ago I started vaping a njoy 4081 and quit again. Last December I was diagnosed with throat cancer, had a flat tumor the size of a apple. Had it for a while and didn't even know it. I only went to the doctor because I lost my voice.
I just finished radiation 5 weeks ago after a major operation. I asked the Doctors if smoking caused the cancer. They said probably not, but smoking would contribute to and aggravate the cancer. They asked me if I ever chew tobacco as this has been shown to cause mouth and throat cancer. I still get craving for ciggs, especially when under stress. vaping has directly been responsible for me not smoking. I just received my Tornado, LR atty's, Cartos which really helps with the cravings. A 5v P/T helped as well. The point is, when picking up a cigg after 3 years, it was like I never stopped. Yes, analogs have a different relaxing feeling. Everybody has to make the choice to smoke taking the health issue in mind. I do feel better when I don't smoke. That and health issues is what really sealed the deal. It's amazing how analogs can take a strong person and make them weak.

For me it's a combination of things that do the trick. My PV gives me the hand action and ritual of smoking, Swedish snus delivers nic and "the rest," and English nasal snuff is a special treat. And when a hard night of drinking in store, I might even pick up a pack of smokes. I don't expect it's ever going to be a one-size-fits-all solution for me, so I've just sort of embraced it.

It's not about "inhaling smoke". It's that cigarettes have been fine tuned with countless chemicals to produce the result that you've now noticed. That's why they are so addictive. That's why it is so difficult to quit.

I agree.
I have heard that big tobacco hires chemists and lots of people who work on specifically making analogs addicitve and/or produce the result the op noticed.

It's almost like analogs will paste nicotine-laced tar inside your lungs if they have to, but they only put just enough nicotine so that the next analog is craved and before too long.
