I'm using a T3 on a Lavatube at 4.2v and I'm getting a burnt flavor. It's pretty freakin' nasty and I'm not sure why. Well, that's not entirely true, I know why, I just don't know how to fix it.
It seems that the it's the rubber cup that's causing it. Whenever the rubber cup is on, I get this nasty burnt taste, I even tried flipping it like many recommend, but it's not helping. When I remove the cup completely, everything works great, tastes fantastic. Problem is though, after vaping it a while without the cup, the coil gets flooded and it starts to gurgle like crazy. To the point of sometimes getting juice in my mouth, which is a whole other bit of nasty.
Anyone run into this issue? Know how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't think the rubber cap is the issue. I was having issues not particularly with burnt taste, but just ... bland taste, and occasional hints of vague drattiness. I've found that if you take the bottom out, remove the rubber cap, wiggle the center post out, then replace the center post, but don't push it quite all the way down -- leave about a 1/2mm gap -- then replace the cap and reassemble, it does work a bit better. Flavour still isn't tremendous but it's a bit better, at least.

I have a first gen lavatube. The very first one they released. It had colored buttons...once upon a time. The paint has long since peeled off. I don't have a voltage meter so I can't test it out, but I never had a problem with cartos of the same resistance.

I got two T3s a few weeks back, not working for me either. I really wanted them to work great.
They feel to me like my fuzzy memory of the original stardust in draw, vape, taste, and dratty dry hits. With the added bonus of a pool of juice out the bottom the next morning. And the other bonus of needing an adaptor for a lot of the latest mods.

I got a few T3s for testing...I tested resistence and started at @4.2 volts. Juice is 80pg/20vg...Seemed too work OK other than a little burnt after pushing it for a bit...Found that it works best in the 3.7/3.8 range...Got three weeks on and off with the same T3...Not a world beater but not entirely bad either..
