No, I'm not stockpiling. When to goes from being a hobby to a way of life or a hassle, I'm outta there. I never want vaping (or anything else) to have the desperate priority smoking had in my life. That said, I keep enough around to last me a few months if there was a temporary supply interruption due to environmental or societal unrest.

I wish I knew how to prepare for the end :( I've only been at this for 2 mos. I'm not a tinkerer (is that a word) and terrified of DIY juice. Not fair that I found the road to finally quitting for good and it will be taken away from me in some form. NYS taxes are so high on analogs that I have to stock up on cartons when going out of state. I still have 3 cartons left so I haven't completely given them up yet. I hope that within time I will have read enough on here to get over my fears and know how to DIY

Eta: if a pack of analogs is over $10.00 here in NY, I can only imagine that e juice will be that or more

keep reading Sara ... it's not that hard to assemble a small stash of DIY supplies and then learn as you go.

I only quit smoking 10 months ago ... I now have enough stuff to last me several years, even if vaping was handed over to BT cigalikes tomorrow.

Hummmm...Ive never looked up "how to make ejuice flavorings" good point!!
Hope your right concerning the FDA!! Thanks for the reply

yeah its not hard to throw a few drops of say orange flavoring in a bottle and shake it up. it wont be "premium" e-liquid, but not bad and perfectly vapeable.
when you start getting into the 3-5 different flavor combos things can get really weird or awful in a hurry. i have been making my own DIY e-liquid for years and some flavors i make use 6 or 8 different flavors from a number of different vendors. the percentage of flavoring used is everything when working on something involving 8 different flavors. things like this have taken me months or even years to figure out. not to mention thousands of dollars. so i could see black market premium e liquid becoming a thing as well.. but i really believe they are aware of this. the vaping community is resourceful, everything we use was repurposed from other industries.

Not completely sure but i dont think much will change except for the taxes. If they ban adding flavor to nic base juice venders will just go to selling flavor juice and nic separate. And then you add the nicotine to your juice when you get it. Some shops by me already do this. They make all there juices with no nicotine and add it when you purchase. the store B&M and online might not be able to carry both at the same time but there are simple way around that. A second web site for online venders/store owners would be a way around selling it together.

Started getting ready in 2011 with mechanical mods, RBA/RDAs, and nic base.

So now all I will ever need is batteries for my flashlight, wire for my hotwire cutters, and supplies to make candy.

    The result of that preparation;

I vape for FREE now. I'll probably have to restock a few things ...... in about 10 years.

I'm placing it right up there in priority with preparedness for the Zombie Apocalyse

I think if the stores were to stop carrying juice tomorrow though, we'd (the two of us) have enough for a month or so and I'll find someone credible making some and get it bootleg then.

Same for Y2K my mom stocked up on water, TP, dry goods...and notta, I went over at 12:01 and turned her main electric box off..oh the screams and laughter though!! :p

i think i read on some thread that nicotine will last about 2 years if frozen. I usually keep a pretty good supply though, but who knows what will happen in the future. Hoping for the best!

You realize you got about a year to vape all that. it will start degrading after that.

What is All this Based On. Can you Please Provide a Link?

So I'm kinda prepping for the unknown with the looming FDA regulations and making my E-juice much cheaper at the same time.

    ...

Sounds like you are Thinking Down the Road. Good.

But I Wouldn't be Too Concerned with Stocking Up on Food Flavoring of PG/VG. I see No Way that they can be Effected by the FDA in that they are Not Derived from Tobacco. So the FDA has No Authority to Regulate them as a Tobacco Product.

I wouldn't though Overlook the Hardware side of your Cache.

Not sure if you use Cartos or Clearos? But if you do, consider that All the e-Liquids in the World Aren't much Good if you have Nothing to put them in.

And "Chasing the Dragon" with a piece of Metal Foil and a Drinking Straw Isn't going to cut it.

And if you use RBA's, have a Extra or Two isn't a Bad Idea if for Nothing else, Parts.

My user name should answer your hardware question lol and if it came down to it, I can make my own mod. I probably do need to scoop up a couple more RBAs and RDAs tho. I don't use anything that uses store bought coils really anymore and the few I have left laying around I can rebuild myself as well. The nic base and flavoring is what the post was pertaining to...you can buy PG at Wal-Mart.
Im not so much worried about it all being "gone" just much more expensive and that would suck just about as bad for some folks.
    ;)

Love it!!! I wish I'd thought of something like. A friend had enough supplies stored in her basement for the whole town. She probably would have had a heart attack.

This scares me! I do make my own juice so I do by chance have a couple of bottles of 100 mg nicotine, a giant jug of 18 mg nicotine. Couple of liters pg vg and lots of flavors. Not because I'm stock piling though. Should I be stock piling?? That's the question.? It really makes me upset because I finally I mean finally found something that made me stop smoking! Now that's threatened and it makes me scared. I mean we can stock pile all we want but in reality we really can not get enough to last our lifetime can we? I don't know it just makes me upset that we even have to think of stock piling our stuff. It's just wrong. This is still America isn't it? My goodness we should be allowed to vape if we want!!

    Oh, dear.

I don't think flavorings are going away or rise in price (other than the normal inflation of everything). People will still be able to make candy, flavor icings and add to their e-liquid base. Even that bastion of Christianity, Hobby Lobby, stocks several flavorings...how would anyone surmise they are for e-liquids rather than candy/cake making?

VG is always going to be available, as well. Many of us use it for a moisturizer, as well as a component of e-liquid. Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, etc. all carry VG.

Propylene Glycol is also readily purchased in most farm supply stores. It is also easily found on line, as it has many other uses other than being a component of e-liquid.

NICOTINE is what the powers that be want to regulate. RBA/RDAs, and NICOTINE is what I will be concentrating on. I will also be taking advantage of sales of eGo type batteries (can be saved until used) and cheap toppers that don't require rebuilding (for future convenience.) How can the US regulate the sale of a mech mod (battery holder) that is purchased overseas???
