My favorite mechanical mod is the Novice clone I have, it uses the 14500-14650 batteries. Keep buying and using what you like but I would highly recommended getting and setting aside at least one mechanical mod. Just my two cents, lol. Oh and you don't need the Vape Fuse for APV's as they have built in protection.

I really like the looks of the Novice and am surprised how inexpensive! It is hard to shop online when so few give dimensions of the products. I see one vendor about 40 miles away and looked at their website (expensive!) but may be worth stopping in to look next time I'm out that direction. I buy most things online as we are in a rural area.

The plan now, get a few with the electronics like the itaste 134 or SID and the Novice or similar to put away for "insurance". I will need to continue I do some more reading to learn (accused of being obsessive/compulsive more than a few times!) . I am trying to get my husband interested as he has the background in electronics. Use to be when I mentioned stocking up "just in case" or wanted to wrap our coils and DIY juice, he'd say "I just want to stay off cigarettes, I don't want another hobby." Now he says buy more nic, also worried about price as well as availability and must consider the juice I make vapeable!

I really like my Novice clone from FT. For size comparison, here's a pic of an M11 (from FT also) on a U-stand with a slim carto-tank, a 650mah eGo with 510 atty and drip-tip, an Itaste VV V3, and a Novice clone.

Both M11 and the Novice clone are 14500 mech mods. They're very small and discrete.

They do also make VV mods in 14500 size. In this picture, the 2 mods in front are Rider Robust 14500 VV mods. They make them in both round and squared off versions. Although they're becoming hard to find since the Itaste VV V3 came out and stole all their thunder.

Nice assortment you have! I have never seen a Rider VV and I "browse" the online stores a lot. Thanks for the pics, do you have wraps on some of them? I feel so plain, even my pro-tanks are clear.

The squared-off Rider Robust looks nice enough, but the round ones not so much. So, yes they are wrapped.

Value Vapor has the prettier squared-off ones for $40. I especially like the pink and red. I know I saw them somewhere else recently, but can't remember where.

Is amber glass really needed for freezer storage? It's pretty dark inside a freezer last time I checked. :)

If you store nic for years, that's thousands of times that the door is opened. That's not very dark. But, if you don't want amber or cobalt bottles, just put the bottles in socks. That will keep them dark and cushion them so they don't get broken.

I DIY my own 0mg liquid and I don't see flavorings or VG going away, despite any kinds of regulations. It might be hard to get a new device, but OKR and raptor chips won't go away, and they don't look too difficult to assemble box mods with. The only real problem would be getting a new rebuildable, but short of losing one or stripping the threads I don't see those wearing out.

Someone who DIY's 0mg has Very Little to fear from the coming FDA Regulations.

As long as you have a Couple of Rebuildables, you should be in Good Shape.

I am needing to order the ingredients to make my e-juice anyway...got about a months worth in my fridge. So Im going to pick up a bit more and some bottles for freezing it. I'm thinking honestly its not going to effect us as harshly as some think because bottom line...some of the big tobacco companies have been looking seriously about investing into the e-cig market...and if they are thinking about it, you know they are just going to tax the .... out of it to make more revenue. 250 ml of 100 mg Flavorless Nicotine Liquid is about 35 months for me...I guess in 3 years I will have to start paying tax on it... oh well. Pg/VG can be bought locally that won't change and flavour isn't going anywhere since its not only made for e-juice. The batteries and all that are used in other products...I don't see that going away either.

The latest news is Ebola Drug Made From Tobacco Plant Saves U.S. Aid Workers - Bloomberg
Tobacco may be good for a lot of things.
But that has absolutely nothing to do with nicotine.
To produce therapeutic proteins inside a tobacco plant, genes for the desired antibodies are fused to genes for a natural tobacco virus, said Arntzen. The tobacco plants are then infected with this new artificial virus, he said.

“The infection results in the production of antibodies inside the plant,” Arntzen said. The plant is eventually ground up and the antibody is extracted, he said. The whole process takes a matter of weeks.
