Anyone else ruined it, like this?

How long have you been vaping and have you ever tried (and what do you think of) juices from higher end boutique companies?

vaping Monkey
Space Jame
Jameson's
Master Mind Elixer
Five Pawns
Ben Johnson's Awesome Sauce
Etc.

Just curious... See I made a slow progression from low end juice to high end... then a giant step back to low end.

I totally understand where your coming from. I'm pretty darn new to vaping. I started roughly a month and a half ago. I haven't tried any of the companies on your list but am interested in a few of them. I have been doing tons of research and forum browsing but I still am not positive on which companies are considered "high end". Of course MBV and PS aren't high end, but what about HHV or AiV? What are some suggestions for a bakery, sweets, and fruit e-juice lover for some of the places you mentioned?

It turned into a scientific study thread on whether one affected sensitivity to the other, but the general consensus was those sensitive to artificial sweeteners and couldn't stand the flavor of them leaned more towards spicier foods and hot sauces.... some went as far as testing whether diet sodas affected how hot foods appeared and whether it affected how long it burned, thats when I stopped following it....

Interesting...

for perspective, my favorite restaurant, a Shabu Shabu place, offers THIS as an optional "hot sauce"... and I LOVE it.

Don't underestimate a slight lower or higher resistance having minimal effect,

For V output of 3.7V, a 2.2 Ohm coil would yield roughly 6.2W, a 2.5 Ohm coil would yield 5.0 W

a watt can be the difference between not vaporizing to having burnt taste...

Currently I vape everything at +/- 35 watts, so I'm not comparing on flavor tyo another at different wattages... they are on the same device at the same watts, with the same coil.

Seems to me Jeff view may be replying to your comment

So, has anyone else done this? Anyone else gone back to popular bargain juices after vaping a lot of boutique juice... and thought....

"maybe this is why newbies give up vaping"?

Buyer beware. Just because it is expensive doesn't mean it's better.

which didn't address my question in the slightest.

While taste is subjective, I am really leaning toward gear and experience. I have gotten some pretty generic juices to be vapable and some 'good' juices worthless. The more experience I get the more vapable most things are. I am by far no expert. Just my two cents. Good luck and have fun!

I'm definitely experienced... been vaping since December 2011... vaping sub-ohm on mechanicals for over 6 months

as for gear...

NZonic V1
Panasonic NCR PD batteries
Nimbus Atty
Dual, two wire, micro coiled to 0.4 ohms
35 Watts of vaping bliss.

As soon as I saw the "colorful" PS liquids I knew it was not for me.

I will not vape dyes and food coloring, cuz why add another questionable thing into lungs.

Right?!

The "G-Spot" juice is so Crazy Purple its almost black.... Why on earth would I want to gunk up my coils?... nevermind my lungs LOL

Nope, I haven't ruined anything for myself. I started with MBV, and while I've had quite a few of their flavors that I didn't like, there's still a few that I love and reorder. I've also tried other more high end/boutique vendors. I've had AiV(not for me), HHV(love the Legend), The Standard Vape(Dead Man's Party is on my permanent reorder list), Vaping Monkey(Monkey Cream is good as a mixer for other juices), AVE(Gorilla Juice, it's ok), GLV(not bad, not great), and a few others.

What I've found is that most vendors do well with a certain flavor or line of flavors, and a particular juice may taste really good at one temperature and really bad at others. I vape anywhere from 6w-20w depending on the juice I'm using and the vape experience I'm looking for. My reorder list includes juices that cost $5 for 15ml up to juices that cost $20 for 15ml. Or the fantastic DIY NET that my buddy makes and gives to me as his taste tester.

Wow, thanks a ton for the suggestions, I'll be placing some orders soon. Many of those sound perfect for me.

I typed up a long reply to your question:

"maybe this is why newbies give up vaping"?

And deleted it. Possibly because it was too long-winded. So I'll go shorter and say this.

First, no. I think what make newbies give up vaping is making the mistake (like I did a few years back) thinking that those cheap gas-station e-cigs were the only thing going.

Secondly, the most popular beer in the US (based on sales) is Bud light. I'd rather shave my head with a cheese grater than be forced to drink that swill, yet I know folks that go through it by the case.

To each his own, if it makes your taste buds happy, vape it. If it doesn't, move on to something new.

Clippin,

I have no insights what so ever but after reading through the thread I kinow this: You and train both appreciate good pizza and if you ever hit Chicago, we need to go out for a pie and a vape! There is a place near by that is so good, when you eat it you'll feel like you cheated on your spouse.

I'll be sure to take you up on that if I ever get out to Chicago... But there better be a Blackhawks game in the plans too... Preferably a nice beatdown of the Red Wings.

I have 2 new GREAT ones to add to the boutique juice list.

Suicide Bunny 'Sucker Punch": dragon fruit and cream
Alpha Vapes "Mr Miyagi": Papaya, plum and tropical fruits.

Simple descriptions, but SO good. I want to try more flavors from both brands.

I'd also add the whole Suicide Bunny line is very good (although similar cream base for all) and everyone should try some Heady Vapes custard...it's ridiculously hard to put down :).
