Anyone else taken the tip off the tank cartridge? It rocks when you do!

I was out running some errands today when the tip of my tank cartridge suddenly popped out and I couldn't find it and didn't have a spare with me. After grumbling for a bit, I just went with it and vaped sans the tip with the tiny hole.

Oh.my.gosh. It was totally resistance-free vaping and it was AWESOME. Throat hit and vapor production were vastly improved. When I got home, I took the tip insert things off of ALL of my tanks. :)

Lisa, try taking the next one out too, its the only way to use these, and the second one is the more important one, you can even put the top one back on if you remove the second one
Not sure how much difference I've noticed but I did take the inner one out and put the top one back in too. Glad that's worked for you, enjoying the T system a lot!

Yep, I removed both. Took a great vaping expereince to a whole new level of excellent and I am loving it! My DH was hesitant to try it with his, but finally did. He's worried that the airflow may be altered and cause leakage. Anyone had that problem?

It's easy...if you lightly bite on the tip of your eGo-T tank, the mouthpiece tip (the piece with the hole) will pop out (you can also do this with a paper clip through the hole). If you look inside the tank now you will see another plastic insert similar to the one you just removed. Use the aforementioned paperclip to take that piece out...done.

Good idea...I think I'll try that now! I hate to admit it, but I've abandoned my used eGo-T tank (and the new one that is just sitting there), for the CE2 Clearomizer...I'd really like to salvage the system, because I did enjoy using it...I just think the consistency has been better with the clearomizer, and is actually alot easier to take care of, IMHO.

Here's to hoping!

AN ASIDE: has anyone had luck with Boba's Bounty in their eGo-T? I did get a series of dry hits...not really a bad flavor, mind you, just NO flavor. I was thinking of adding a drop or two of distilled water to a 12ml bottle and see how that goes...

Yays/Nays would be appreciated.

I'm not noticing a difference. I take long, slow draws, though. My draws are usually around 5 seconds. Maybe this would improve things for someone with a quicker draw. One thing I have noticed, though, is that removing the two tips is that I don't get a jet of cool vapor right on my tongue. So this might be a solution for people who are bothered by it. I've read a thread where someone was complaining about just that thing.

Is there another airflow mod? I thought I remember seeing pics of someone modding the sides of the cart where the air chambers are...

I'm not sure about modding the regular setup, but I tried putting my T-atty on my Roughstack (have to use an extension) and the draw is fantastic! Nice and airy, no longer feels like trying to suck a frozen milkshake through a teensy straw! Yeah, it looks pretty dorky, but I just use it at home anyway.
