Anyone else taken the tip off the tank cartridge? It rocks when you do!

I'm not sure if it's a mental thing, but this seems to make it a bit easier to draw. I picked up a tank for my mother, and she's not quite used to it because she has to pull so hard on it. It definitely seemed to make a difference with the amount of vapor she's getting.

I'm going to pull all of my tips for a bit and see how it works out. It also will certainly help to dry the tanks out after cleaning as well.

FWIW the leaking folks are talking about is condensation that makes it to the barrier (the first insert), the system itself (tank) is not leaking perse. Nice slow hits on the the PV will prevent any flooding of the coil chamber by the liquid itself. Some folks do suck on a PV like a cigarette, vice nice smooth inhales.

I've tried both ways and prefer leaving both inserts in the mouthpiece to catch any drops of liquid where I can see them. Part of the draw feed system in the tank atty is due to suction created when you draw. Slow and easy draws prevent some of the flooding.

If you think about it, vacuum plays a part in feeding as well as the wicking. When you draw, the air pressure around the coil and wicking drops slightly. If the tank is full, the air bubble in the tank is small and won't allow as much expansion. Just before the tank is empty, there's a larger bubble inside the tank that can expand more, allowing more juice to feed into the wick. A good hard draw at the end of a tank can result in a flood.

I tried it with the top one out too tonight, after I could feel the whistly air coming through the tiny hole, and that bugged me. I do like it, but not the feel of the big open whistle tip hole on my tongue. Giving it time though.

I would take out the second insert too, it is really loose and I would be somewhat concerned about inhaling it and choking on it.

That's what I was doing, taking the innermost one out and leaving the top one...it stayed pretty tight in there but i could feel the vapor coming through that tiny hole still so I now have them both out.

No way that's condensation. it's juice. (looks like it tastes like it and in fact if you switch in a blank tip you can vape it for 10-20 puffs (with some gurgling a little spitting as it burns up the excess.)

Yeah... Condensation of juice, LOL.

We are vaping PG/VG+NIC VAPOR. Vapor condenses on it's way out. It's making it into the tip as vapor, and recondensing into it's base juice as it is cooled coming out. The little droplets you see in the tip isn't juice that's been sucked up, unless you're puffing on it WAY too hard.

Gosh, I know this is an old thread but just found this mod specific forum. I've only been vaping 13 days and I think on day 2 the tip fell off........I was quite concerned but liked it. I like the "tongue hit" that was referred to above. That's exactly how it felt. And I was also worried about those trapped bubbles but all is "clear" now!!!!!
