Just got my kit, and it looks like my auto battery is sealed (nice surprise, more newbie safe). Is this how its always been, or a new thing?

Must be new. My Halo auto batteries are not sealed. The Volt batteries were the only ones I knew of that were sealed-auto batts. Maybe Halo is starting to get the same ones.

My new 1100mah echo kit came with sealed batteries. Totally shocked. Vendor didn't advertise it. And I have no idea how it works. The holes in the threads feed arflow to the carts. I see no hole into the battery. Best not to think about it but I can't help to marvel at it now and then
Really! I was going to order a couple Volt sealed autos since they fit Halo cartos, but if Halo now has them yippee! I just ordered a couple new batts, mine are getting tired

bnrkYes, the new auto batteries are in sealed. Many are already being shipped, but some of the not so popular colors (particularly in the 65mm) do not have the sealed ones in rotation yet.
Are they regulated as well? Also if I order is there a color(s) that will guarantee I get a sealed battery? I would prefer 65mm silver/blue led battery.
I just ordered from Volt for the first time I'm excited to try them out!! I got 2 78mm one auto and one manual and on 68mm auto I can't wait to try them out and compare them to 510 Megas I have read a lot of good things about the volts,bloogs & halo so I hope I'm happy with the switch

After a long stretch of using ego-t's, ego-c's and elips' I decided to give the old 808 another go. Halo seemed to be the best out there with what you get for the money and I love the tin packagng. I was tempted to order some Volt sealed autos, but now that I know Halo is starting to circulate them, I will probably order some other colors soon. Right now I have the titanium 65mm. Two to three bats a day and two full cartos per day. Impressed and definitely better than the older 808's. Oh, and I love the carto cases.
My kit came with one unsealed battery and one sealed battery. Nice to hear they will all soon be sealed.
Are some of these batts still open, I need to get the wife at least one sealed for dripping from time to time?
I just received my new starter kit and both were sealed. I believe that is how they will be from now on. It's a great improvement.
