Anyone ever get sick from getting a mouthful of juice?

So since I started vaping full time on 1/1/11 I've gotten the chills really bad twice... never happened to me before in my life... I can't say for certain, but my wife thinks there's a correlation to me messing w/ refilling carts... or just vaping too much...

I do know that last night I thought I was getting the flu, legs hurts, chills so bad I couldn't stop... but it seems to have gone away... and earlier in the day I was trying to experiment to see how much juice was too much juice for my carts... So I inevitably got a mouthful or two of juice...

Anyone else experience anything like this?

Perhaps your body is going through withdrawals from not smoking. There is a list of withdrawal symptoms on the board maybe someone can post the link for you. I am pretty certain that is what it is. You are going through withdrawal.

Your symptoms don't really sound like nic overdose. Do you have a racing heart, sweats, headache, nausea? It is possible to get a nic overdose if you get enough juice on your skin. It can take less than you might think. I learned this from personal experience -- I got a few ml of 18mg juice on my hands and regretted it.

Hmmm, that might be it... I did get a bunch of juice on my hand and just wiped it on my jeans.... it's just 12mg juice, but that could be it....

No sweats, although did feel hot flashy... slight headache, but no nausea....

That sounds very possible. If it happens again, wash your hands immediately. Even better, wear latex gloves. I hate the gloves, so what I've started doing is using those finger cots that cover cut fingertips.

In any case, if you're suffering an OD, don't worry, it'll pass. You didn't get enough to pose a serious health risk.

All vapers get juice on their hands and hardly any have reported any negative side-effects in this or other forums. On juice in the mouth, that is primarily caused by a weak battery. Whatever battery you are using may be the problem.

What nicotine level are you using? I use 16-18mg. When I get it in my mouth I grab a tissue and spit it out well then wipe off my lips. So I make an effort to absorb as little as possible. I haven't noticed any ill effects. But if you are using higher nicotine juice maybe you would.
