I have cats, rescue cats and think they are VERY cute!
My nickname is Kat too - has been since I was two!
I've had animals all my life - dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and other assorted wildlife including a deer!
We Canadians are a bunch of animal lovers that's for sure!
Change that last line to end in "...that's clear" and that is a perfect quatrain.

Bha,, sounds like all caca-poopoo things and vet fee to me. I am too poor to own a pet. Except ants.
Vet fees aren't the biggest expense of pet ownership
Food, grooming, uncontrollable spending whenever you walk by a pet store (freakin' $30 deer antlers!!)
But it all pales in comparison to the sheer amount of joy a dog (or any other animal) brings into your life

100% agree!!!
If you've never had a dog or a cat (or whatever pet may appeal to you) there is a huge part of the soul that hasn't been awakened. I read something like that somewhere and after knowing people who do have pets and those who don't I realized that isn't just some fruity inspirational saying. Without sounding too flaky (although to some its probably too late already) having an animal companion is actually quite a spiritual thing.
