A sea sponge or a buff puff for filler??

I'm loving the hell out of my Tornado, but the atty end of the filler keeps drying out, so then I have to use something to squoosh it down into the juice pooled near the mouthpiece and then fluff it back up.

I was going to try batting/stuffing, but don't wanna mess with the whole "buy fire ......ant, inhale chemical, DON'T buy FR, risk a fire" thing.

So...anyone tried either of the above, and if so, what were your results??

I have read on this forum about someone trying the face scrubbing pad....
I believe they called it a face buffer.......

Yep, face scrubber, facial exfoliator, etc. Buf-Puf is a brand name, but I tend to go generic when I can, lol.

I bought both of the above earlier today, I'm just waiting for hubby to help me test the flammability of both before I go vaping away.

I think those are far too dense to let the liquid go properly.

I use staw mod and Fluval, and I must say it's good enough - quickly done, easily made, cheap, can be refilled from the dropper bottle … although I hope the Tesla filter will solve that problem once and for all. Or at least for now ;)

If Mik's video is any indication of what to expect from the Tesla Filter I think we have a winner... I am just completely curious how the think works... if it does work Ill buy a dozen ;) unless they are 20 bucks each, in which case Ill have to settle for one

I've seen a number of threads about using a sea sponge, but don't remember what the outcome was.
I'm pretty sure it didn't work out, otherwise it would have caught on. Maybe it was too absorbent.

As for the Buff Puff, I was under the impression that most people who had used that were in agreement that it was the best filler material going. You'll find plenty of information if you search for Buff Puff.

I tried the buff puff, and didn't have much luck with it. Can't remember why, I think it leaked. However, I do tend to fill mine too full, so that may be why.

Here's a video on Kristin's buff puff mod by Smokeoutpost
Wow, I didn't know someone made a video of that mod! Cool!

I stopped using plug-style mods because I got sick of having to pull the plug out to refill all of the time and they all (except ZFM) seem to eventually start to shrink and leak.

He should do a video of the PTB Made Easy mod - that's the one I've been using for a few months now. It's the easiest to make (no rolling/folding) and maintain, IMO. Maybe holds a bit less liquid (8-10 vs. 10-12 drops) than plugs, but vapes dry, no funky taste, lasts a long time, cleans & reuses easily and no plugs to remove to refill! Works on mega carts, too. :thumb:

Ooo.. thanks for the link.. didn't know they updated the PTB! I tried it a couple of times, but it was too much hassle.. this sounds much easier!

the one i used mnths ago was to dense!fish fluval.never had a problem with it.washes easily does not burn.cant go wrong with fish in your carts:p
Yeah, I didn't put as much BP in it as he shows in the video. And i used a straw instead of the spring.

With any of the fiberous plug methods you have to get the size just right or the leak or shift or get sucked into the atty.

The Buf Puf is a great material though - no funky taste and the single-direction weave of the fibers helps channel the liquid to the atty instead of just holding on to it.
