Anyone experience the new 40 amp batteries??

I saw some new batteries from vamped. Has anyone tried these, if so what is your opinion. I am using sony vtc5 now and was wondering if there was anything better out there. With the battery having a 40 amp limit, I would be able to run an atty below a .15 without blowing up right?? Not that I would vape on something like that daily but if it's safe I would like to see what it's like. Thanks for the input

Not to be harsh but let me get this straight - You're obviously using a mech mod as I don't know of any regulated mods that will fire a coil that low. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Therefore, you're using batteries and attempting to build within their safe limits. You then ask if using a .15Ω coil on a 40A battery is safe?

Let me help you out a little here. The amperage required is equal to the voltage divided by the resistance. For instance, if we take a fully charged 40 amp battery at 4.2 volts and divide it by a coil's resistance of .15 ohms, we get a result of 28 amps. So therefore, the 28 amps is within that battery's safe zone but it is starting to push it. However, that's all dependent upon that battery manufacturer's claims being valid.

Yeah, saw those, but really liking the VTC5's. The 5's will handle a 0.15 build, barely, and an extra 10 amps would be better, if going that low. Personally, anything under 0.18, I use on the Sony 26650 50 amp batts.

Are you building that low, or just want to try? Have seen the Vamps at 101vape, so thinking it's a good one to have, if the amps are needed. Get some and let me know how lo the go. :lol::D

My advice is use your common sense. If it sounds to good to be true. It probably is. With that said I would do some research first before purchasing some thing like these. I tend to stick to name brand stuff. Yea I pay a little more but I feel it will last longer and the product has been tested prior to release. Just MHO.

I know nothing about the Vamped batteries, but have been curious. I would add though that integrity is important over at 101vape. They'll pull a product that doesn't work or has a bad rap. These batteries are fairly new, so perhaps they just dont know of any issues yet, but if they keep them in stock over there, it's a good sign.

Actually that's not what I said at all. I do know how ohms law works. The lowest I will push my vtc5s is at .15 being that a fully charged Vtc 5 is pushing 3.6v not including the load of my atomizer so I know .15 is in the safe zone. I was saying with a battery that has a 40 amp limit I would be able to run even lower and still be well with in the safe zone. I don't wanna risk pushing a battery right to its limit I like to have a buffer, Thanks for the help though.

But the VTC5 actually has a higher amp limit than the Vamped ones so you'd just be more likely to blow it up in your face/hands. The lie they tell is the whole 40 amp things, because that is the pulse rating and not the continuous discharge one. Sony VTC5 have a pulse rating of 60 amps or so for instance. Vamped are actually 15 amps lower continuous discharge rating than the VTC5. It's all just marketing, and dishonest marketing at that.
