The State of Confusion
Last night I was having a really bad night (just lost my job). My wife and I went in to Puckerfish (our local shop) where I was able to chit chat with the owner, who knew me since I'm a regular, and as we walked out he gave me a 30ml bottle of my favorite fluid as a "forced retirement gift". Try that with an online shop.

Man..sorry to hear about your job!

I agree, when we have a good shop with good people running them it makes all the difference in the world!

I work out of town a lot , and the owner of Rogue Vapers in Little Rock is a great guy!

I will always stop in even if I am going to another city as long as I go through Little Rock!

All that said, there are like at least 6 plus shops around me in a 30 mile radius or more (shops) and I will only go to one!

The other is 2.5 hours away and I would drive it! People male the difference, not just the product!

My sister never has any trouble getting attention in the vape shop - I wonder why?

There are no shops that are close to me...wish there were

Sometimes this may be a good thing. By me, there are atleast 5 or 6 on the main road leading to the mall. And inside of the mall there has to be dozens. Most are just filled with over priced chinese products.

What a lovely, heartfelt gesture. [emoji3]

But I must defend my online peeps. Until a month or so back, I had never heard of ITC Vapes. I met them here after making my first purchase, and I've never experienced such generosity in my life. They read one of my posts bemoaning a certain flavor I had removed from my shopping cart in an effort to save $$, next thing I know, they've sent me a bottle of what I missed out on, plus its companion flavor. [emoji3]

My favorite flavor of theirs is Spoonlicker v2, and I'm constantly (shamelessly!) plugging away on its behalf. The first of the month I ordered the 120ml size of this incredible elixer, and when I received my order, they had upgraded my purchase to the 240ml bottle, which they had just started offering.
I have never been treated as royally by any b/m store, and they have made a loyal customer for life. [emoji8]

I know how you feel in Spades, I imagine you must be in the over 25 age group and a normal looking human being, so in some of the B+M stores I've been in you are invisible. I don't intend that as an insult but I've noticed that the ( Sorry younguns) twenty somethings are the customers most focused on. I am closer to the big 60 and I might as well be a dust mite when I walk into most of these places. The staff look at me as though I'm lost and need help finding my way home. My philosophy is that there are Tobacco shops, Ecig shops, Vape shops, and Vapories. I a tobacco shop caters to smokers and might have a few (very few) eliquids, an ecig shop has a few Cigalikes, cartos' egos' a few clearomizer typer and colors and a small display case with imported juices from China. I find that these are mostly in some corner of another business and sort of an after thought. Vape shops are stand alone shops with a business setup. These look like most other stores with display cases and maybe some small counter top to stand and try their juices, they offer more selection on devices and both the house brands and maybe a couple well known e juices for purchase. Vape shops have slightly more informed staff mostly because they almost all Vape something ( and most look like my 18yr old grandchild). But a Vapory is a horse of a different color altogeather. These have everything the others offer plus, an area to sit and socialize, maybe a Coffee Bar, an atmosphere of come in look around ask any question about Vapeing and we will find you an answer. These usually have a nice long Vapor Bar with comfy Bar stools and staff dedicated to nothing but letting you try any and all the Flavors they offer. These places also have at least one example of Vapeing devices small to ex large (sorry Reos' haven't seen a live Reo in one yet). They also work on the premis THE MORE THE MERRIER and will never try to get rid of their customers. I have found only one of these( in Kennesaw Ga.) while visiting my daughter. The name of this Vaper freindly place is "Vaperite" and the only thing I can grouse about was that like almost all the other Vapeing oriented businesses all the employees They still all look like my oldest Grandchild. :2c:8-o

You are soooo right!

I was vaping before most of these youngin' knew how to "p" so to speak.

Like I said earlier there is only one about 30 plus miles from me that I will go to, the other is like 120+ miles, both have a lounging / socialization areas, heck the shop in Little Rock sometimes has lunch, always has bottled water and soda....

The one in Little Rock has the tasting bar set up like you mentioned....Very Nice indeed

Their prices are in line with on-line shops, and they take the time you need be it a noob or an experienced vapaholic like myself!

Both carry high end mods and tanks, high end juices, as well as entry level stuff....:vapor:

Had one shop here locally that was pretty good when they were the only game in town. After a few well financed stores came on the scene, they switched to high pressure, trying to convince you what they recommended last week was trash this week. Haven't been there since. I go to a couple for wire, orings, etc, stuff I don't want to wait 4-5 days for. Otherwise, I buy equipment, juice all on line.

Roger that. [emoji4]
My only experience with a B/M was going with a friend to the local Aqueous where she purchased her setup. Her glass tank had a crack in it, and they were going to sell her another (Kanger look-alike) for $10.95. I was appalled. Before she could dig her wallet out, I told her I could get her genuine KangerTech glass for much less, thus earning the stink-eye from the 20-something ready to ring up the sale.
I'm all about giving back to the community, but i refuse to let me or mine be raped in the process. :(

Yep.. I know several online vendors who have sent out extras or even whole freebie orders to people in need.. Not to mention all the contests that are going on at any one time.. To say online vendors are not as generous is pretty disingenuous in itself.

Please don't take my answer in a negative light at all. I prefer a face-to-face interaction is all and what happened last night just reinforced that to me.

Oh the stories I could tell. Look I'm 55 but don't look it but still a woman. It makes a difference in some places. I've been dismissed as not being able to handle a MCV v2 "here let me show you a nice evod" and told it was my fault my seriously counterfeit Spinner II they sold me the day before wasn't holding a charge when the owner didn't even know the charging sequence. One place is quite proud of their really bad in house juice that gives me blisters even thinking about vaping it. Meh, both places I will use in a pinch should I find myself in real need of a battery or coil but otherwise not going to be helping their business. They seem to have no idea how much local business I could send their way.

So I find a new shop, close to work, nice selection and quite decent when the owner is in house. Turns into one huge cloud full of young girls looking to be cool and/or guys just really into building the sub ohm stuff and cloud chasing. Because they have a couple of guys who I'm grooming to build me a few coils I stop in occasionally. What made me fit in and gave me instant cred? I casually pulled out the new REO Grand! Jaws dropped and I swear I saw a little bit of saliva on one chin. Of course they have only sort of heard about REOs and have nothing in the store for bottom feeders but they are ALL having a great time talking with me, showing me their builds and having a great time. LOL it helps I have two grown sons not too much older than these guys.

Should have seen their eyes light up when the Nicoticket makes an appearance, drips are offered and business card is left and slipped into a pocket.

So yeah I never met a stranger but this may turn out to be a quick place to stop in, stock is decent as are the prices.

I think we will all have different experiences but it is nice to have a local place for emergencies.
