I posted this in the Dietsmokes forum because that's where I bought it from but no one has responed yet so I'd like the experts help plz.

I'm assuming that the shape of the cart has to match the shape of the ceramic that is in the atty when they are put togther. I've read that this is required on the forum somewhere most likely for proper air flow.

I index my carts with the attys using a knife or something else sharp by creating a line on each of the two peices. When they are lined up they are in alignment. This works even with different carts to attys too. They always match up.

Now I'm trying to index the cone with the cart when it's attached because you can't see the atty with the cone in place but I can't get it to work. I guess this is because the treads never start in the same place on the batts and the cone will never stop in the same place and will always be off the mark. Now I'm back to looking at both peices to get them lined up.

Do you guys actually make the shapes match or am I just being ....? IF you do, how have you solved this puzzle with the cone?

Thanks!

:)

I've never paid attention to orientation/alignment because I use flat tips and a straw mod on my carts and always have my straw on top of the cart, in line with the button - so my flat tip is also so aligned. Because of those more important (to me) considerations, the atty bridge isn't always aligned with the cart as some vapers prefer so as to keep the bridge from melting the tops of cartridges. Still, I've never had a problem with melting carts. What I do, is I always examine the bridge of the atty if new - or after cleaning to see if the bridge or the metal mesh on the bridge are - in the center - of the atty chamber and if not, I take a toothpick and move it to the center. I've never had any thing break while doing this but I'm careful not to apply too much force - I 'nudge' it over and from then on have no other considerations about 'alignment' of the head of the bridge, etc. I do take another horizontal cut on the top of my straw to keep it from coming in contact with the bridge.
