Hi!
I'm new to e-cigs and posting to this forum, though I've been lurking for a couple weeks. I just want to know if there is anyone from central Arkansas on this board? The main reason I'm asking is because I've been looking for local places to buy stuff like e-liquid and am coming up short. I've ordered some stuff online already, but I am looking for people who know of places to buy stuff in person if necessary. Thanks!

Hi AnnMarie, welcome to ECF and good to see another Arkansan. :)

E-cigs are still a young industry and there really aren't enough of us yet to support the overhead a brick and mortar store would require for the most part. You might try the local tobacco shops. Occasionally one will carry a few supplies, but it's going to be a gamble as to if they would even know the good product from the bad. You're best bet really is to continue to order online and make sure you stay stocked up.

BTW, we do have an Arkansas specific subforum here; Natural State Vapers
It's a small group and pretty quiet, but worth knowing that there are other Arkansas vapers out there.

Hey, I live in North Little Rock and am debating opening a store with lottsa vape supplies on university!! Problem is I don't know if there would be enough market. Do you know many vapors? I don't know any and most of my friends won't even try it.

Hi TrippH :) Imho, the best business model to start with would probably be a tobacco/vape shop. Carry pipe tobacco, snus, some of the specialty stuff, in addition to the normal tobacco. Then also add a line of eGos/Rivas, the more popular minis like the kr8 and pen style, accessories and juices. The tobacco line would allow you to keep the prices down on the vaping supplies, and you would have a ready made new clientele base in the smokers that are thinking about quitting. You would also have something to fall back on if the FDA ends up getting their way, and could switch over to just vaping supplies if the customer base becomes big enough and e-cigs remain on the open market.

Lol I can just see it if the FDA gets a ban pushed through. Tobacco in the front of the store, e-cig supplies in the hidden back room and you have to know the password to enter. ;)

AnnMarie, if you get totally desperate, you can buy some VG (vegetable glycerine) from the local CVS or Walmart and add it to some of the juice you have now....to make it last longer. Or get some VG and some Lorann's flavorings (cake/candy flavoring in little bitty bottles) and make some juice....but it will be no-nic juice. Then order online quickly....don't ever want to run out of juice. When I first started out, I didn't want to DIY, but I did want a little security. I ordered some nic juice and bought me some VG.....just to have around in case of an "emergency".....running out of juice before the next order came in! LOL. Anyway, just a suggestion.
