Anyone get odd looks from people on the street while vaping?

I work downtown. I vape while I walk around doing errands for the office or while getting lunch. I get odd/weird looks from people while I vape. Some times parents try to yell at me for smoking around their kids as they walk by. Of course then they smell raspberry a few seconds later. That's my e juice flavor they are smelling. Heck i even get cops stopping me and questioning what i am smoking. They think its illegal substances. It seems that ( in my town at least) if you don't vape then you have no clue what e-cigs are.

I'm just curious if anyone else has any experiences like mine.

Pretty much where I live they are well known. I did get some strange looks a couple of times when I lived in Philadelphia but that was a couple of years ago. I think they are more well known now.

When I first started using a small pen type setup nobody hardly gave me a second glance. But when I am vaping with my new Tesla APV Mod, then they take notice. It does look like a space scifi prop in a way though. I have not had anyone ask questions yet though. But it is fun to see their faces when I am sitting in traffic in my vehicle. I have to wonder though when I might get some questions from the local law enforcement officers if any at all. I live in a small town anyway.

Not really odd looks from vaping. I get the odd looks when I squonk since i have a Reo and it leads to a 15 minute conversation with someone explain what a Reo is haha

Had'em all I think. In any combination. The last may be unknown to most non-Nordic people. The Law of Jante is strong up here

See em in walmart, home Depot, on the beach, sams club, laundromat, and it still surprises me to see so many people vaping in stores cause I figure I will be polite and leave it in the car.

But seeing how 90% of " cops" episodes are filmed in fla I guess everyone is pretty desensitized by now lol

Had a woman compliment me on my aftershave once. Didn't have the heart to tell her she was smelling my vape.

I think what throws people off is that I wear a suit and tie when I'm downtown. Part of my job. Most people associate the suit an tie outfit downtown with attorneys. Then I bust out a ego one xl and start vaping. Huge vape clouds coming from me.

I got odd looks from people long before I started vaping...so I can't really tell what the reason might be. That being said, vaping isn't all that popular out here in the heartland, even tho it's a college town. I rarely see a fellow vaper in the wild. So yeah, I get a questioning look or two.

yeah I get some strange looks, but then I am strange I have a clearomizer on a 808-d automatic battery in my shirt pocket with surgical tubing on the tip of the clearomizer and the tube end out my collar slightly . I just suck on it every now and again. Strange looks abound. Looking around for an automatic Ego battery....

My guess is that it is due to you living in California. Where I am at havent noticed any weird looks. Although at work several have said about time I got into vaping and away from cigarettes.
