yup, it doesnt remember your settings. but i dnt mind, only take afew seconds to get it back to my desired volt/watt
my version does remember settings. i find though that if i leave the batteries out for a while, i do have to change from rms back to avg. thats the only setting that it forgets and its rare but has happened. I also had to change the springs. i can live with that for 25% less price. i will get a sigelei though when i have more cash. right now the vamo is my favorite pv.

btw i guess i have the v2. it has metal buttons.

I received mine today with vivi nova & it worked great for a couple hrs (wife said closer to 4 Hr) then it showed low Ohm. I thought it popped a coil. Put another in & it showed low ohm also. Put a third coil in & this time it showed low volt. I checked the batt with my Fluke it read just under 4 volt. I ran 7 coils through the thing (in RMS mode) and every one would show either low Ohm, or low volt (which can indicate short). The screen would randomly flicker indicating bad connection. No battery rattle as I was using Panasonic button top. The last coil I put in (it showed 0.0 Ohm) I got so disgusted I just set it aside. I then picked it up a bit later and it showed 2.8 Ohm, took a puff it then went back to 0.0 Ohm. I checked all the coils and none had popped. I then put one of the previous coils back in & it would read maybe 1.8 Ohm. Next reading .3 Ohm. Then it might read 2.2 I would then take a puff it would go back 0.0 Ohm. Every time I would check it would show anywhere from 0.0, up to 2.8 (mostly 0). Again, none of the coils were popped. I am very disappointed as it took 7 days (not the venders fault) to get here now I will have to send it back it will be close to two weeks before I get it back. The several hrs it worked was the longest I had gone without a nasty in decades! I was completely satiated. I did not want a nasty at all!! It is so sad the way vaping is being attacked! I tried gum/patch and they were so terrible. But I digress LOL. I have about 15 (not ML) ounces of juice and nothing to vape with. My next move was ordering another Vamo as well as another back-up. I am so frustrated cause I actually felt like a non smoker for the short time it worked. BTW, my unit did not come with the upgraded spring . Also the letter O for off looks like an A (its unlighted). Anybody have any ideas? Thanks much for any help. Gotta light a nasty now ARRG. Thanks mod for putting this thread back on track. BTW, did I say how much I hate these damnable stinkin nasties!

Further testing on my Bamboo/Vamo - it's reading is unreliable. I tested my mesh on it and it says resistance is at 2.7 ohms. On my multimeter and my vmax i get 2.2 ohms.

With a 18350 battery it will show a max power output as 4.2 V and it will shut off at 3.2 V . It does not show LO v as said on HC site.

At RMS mode - it is supposed to maintain constant power output. But when it is down to about 3.4 v - there is a difference. It does not fire as strong as previously. Pop in a new battery and it as strong as before.

Giving it a thumbs down :nah:. Gonna use it as a back up. I think i will look around for something better

Just got my Bamboo/Vamo. I couldn't quite get the screw cap to screw in for single 18350 batttery configuration.

Anyone knows if I have done anything wrong here ? screwcap.jpg
