:thumb:I thought I was going crazy. I have been vaping for 14 days now, 4 hits off an annalog over the last 14 days. Why, I don't know. Anyway, I smoked( notice that I said smoked) for over thirty years. I have sufferd from major heartburn for the last 5 years. However, I have only had to take 1 zantac over the last 14 days. I am sure that not smoking ciggs, has a lot to do with it. I am looking forward to the other changes that my body is going to experience from not smoking annalogs, and just vaping away.:thumb:

I have been vaping for just over a month. (smoked pack+/per day of analogs for 40 years prior to April 09) About 5 years ago I was diagnosed with acid reflux (mild) and was told by the doctor to use the OTC Prilosec, which I have been using most every morning.

Since I started vaping, I inadvertently found I was not taking it in the morning, (almost a week now) and oddly I haven't had any any acid reflux. Just wondering if anyone who has been vaping for a while has noticed, or thinks that quitting analogs, and starting to vape may have noticed less reflux, or even zero reflux since starting to vape? I will consult my doctor..., but was just curious if anyone had noticed reduction in need for prilosec or the likes? Thanks

not a big difference, but i have noticed it bothering me less.

If you have mild reflux a good old-fashioned remedy is to chew an apple slowly. Now why this works when apples are acidic I just don't know - but it works for me! When I started vaping I had more trouble with acidity, not less, but fortunately this has reverted to normal now. Watch out for hot curries - the morning after a Phal can involve all sorts of acidity problems! Apparently they're good for the old brain, though, because of the curcumin in them. :)
