My first order arrived 4 weeks ago. I still can't ditch the analogs! I'm having trouble finding The one, the IT in tobacco for all day vaping. I feel like I'm missing the boat here - everyone is doing sooooo well! I think I have tried almost every tobacco flavor - the rest I have on my wish list. I'm spending a small fortune buying equipment And analogs - I do realize that the cost will go down once I find IT and stop buying analogs.

Thanks for letting me whine - I have some nice Dublin cheddar to share.

Mema, Your not alone. I'm still working with my mom on finding that perfect vape.
When trying to break old habits. Its not easy. Some people take to it like its nothing. Others struggle.
Everyone is different. Don't beat yourself up. You will get there. Just give it time. Slow replace one analog with a vape. That might help. Maybe upping MG or lowering it. More flavor less flavor.
Just give yourself some time =) You will get there as long as your mind is set up for it.

What flavors and strengths have you tried so far? I would be happy to send you some cartos that you haven't tried yet to see if they work for you. I know I couldn't give them up until I found something yummy that I loved to vape. The tobacco tastes don't do it for me but some of the others worked great for me! Let me know what you have tried...

Are you trying to find a flavor that tastes just like your analogs? I think you have to acknowledge the fact that vaping taste a little different and feels a little different from smoking. If you are trying to find a flavor that tastes exactly the same you probably won't find it IMO.
I was lucky and quit analogs the day I got my first e-cig, I never had the expectation of it being exactly the same I thought of it as switching cigarette brands, and that seemed to work for me.
It does take a little determination, it's not as easy for everyone.
Don't get discouraged just take it day by day. It will happen for you too!! If not sooner, than later, it's all good!:D

It took me 3 months after I got my first ecig to finally quit analogs. After discovering I couldn't tolerate PG. I found Johnson Creek Tennessee Cured VG. I quit in April and not long after that Johnson Creek quit making their VG formula. I really struggled with finding something new. Came close to gong back to analogs, but finally found Ecopure Fresh. For me ecigs are kind of a 'leap of faith'. I have a hard time relaxing and trusting that they will work and be there for me. You should see my stash!

Thanks Allestaria! It's nice to know I'm not alone!

JenJen - eekks, it might be easier to list what I haven't tried! I have tried: mboro, hilton, kant, kamel, virginia, french pipe, vanilla, chocolate, caramel, coconut and 555 juice. Some I really Like but none are the IT. I feel like such a loser ack! I'm going to try parlament next. I think I need something in between the kants and the kamels (like both but not enough to vape all day).

kdcaines - I finally have my head wrapped around the fact that I need to change my thinking. I'm not looking to replace the flavor of my merit ultra lights, just looking for that 'this is IT" feeling - know what I mean?

I love the new 10 sec batt it gives me the exhale vape that I've been looking for.
I have found that I vape in between analogs. Still have that "I need a real cig"feeling. I know it will happen, I'm just getting somewhat frustrated. But I won't give up!

Thanks BobZ! I'm happy that you took to this so soon!!

aschmidy - what is ecopure? I understand that V4L will carry VG soon so I'll try that when it comes out.

Try the 555 trust me on that!! It has made me not touch an analog yet!

Good luck! Hope this helps!
I second that 555 24mg worked magic!!!! And i was a camel 2 packs a day for 35 years!!!!!! also when i first get up and want that nico rush with my java i hit hilton 36mg !!!!!! good luck:evil:

I quit analogs after the first full day on ecigs. It's been 5 months and find myself being tempted by analogs again. I've had about 6 analogs in the past week. I own the 801, 901, 510 and the KR808D. Th 801 waste a lot of juice and taste like crap. The 901 cartridges last only a few minutes before they begin to burn your nose and throat. The 510 battery last only a few minutes with the manual button, which is a pain in the .... The KR808D is my favorite but even that sucks. I have tried every flavor and no matter what the cartridges all have a very strong burnt taste, I don't wanna go back to analogs but I just can't find anything that I truly enjoy.

Have ya tryed RY4 ? I saw you didn't like the caramel but most people say that straight caramel doesn't really tast like caramel anyway. RY4 is a good tobacco flavor with a touch of vanilla/caramel. I can vape it all day no probs. My first day vaping I vaped 26mg and got a little woozy, I thought that was too strong, but it was all I had at the time so I continued to vape, the woozy feeling went away pretty quickly and that whole day not once did I want a cig! I thought wow this is it the answer to my prayers. The next couple days I cut down to 18mg and I found that the temptation was creeping back. So now I know I need a 20-24mg. I've found that flavors change depending on equipment and nic level. Try a little stronger nic and see if that helps. Keep up the good fight and remember you got a whole lotta good people here behind ya:thumb: This forum has answered every question I've had about E-cigs ,without me ever asking, just alot of reading lol.

Dennis, 555 24mg vs camels - that's great! Seems like 555 is getting good reviews!

wjmcspirit, I love the 10 cut off battery, good luck finding the right flavor, it has been difficult for me but not for everyone

cydog, caramel is one of the ones that I like, just not enough for an all day substitute. Looks like I might have to add 555 and RY4 to my next order.

Does anyone know if 555 or RY4 is in between kants and kamels?

A lot of people are experiencing related issues actually.

The only reason I am able to stay away from analogs (and I've come very close a few times lately, a couple of days ago just even seeing the word 'marlboro' and having to talk about it myself in here very nearly set me off lol) is because my e-cigs are also on 'life support ie., backed heavily by several other things, biggest being snus use being my real most steady nicotine supplier, also playing with nasal snuff, very rarely occasionally partaking from a Nicotrol nasal inhaler or a homemade adaptation of the nicorette oral inhaler (its cartridge used inside a vick's type inhaler as a much better nasal nicotine inhaler device) etc.

I've been at all of this for about 2 months. I am slowly.. very very slowly.. seeing periods where (and as I gradually learn the best vaping technique for me such as 'french inhaling') am just barely starting to get to where I can actually go a little while and get what I need from just the e-cig itself (without even a snus in mouth!).. for some of us apparently 'getting there' (wherever were going) is a much slower process, but is progress nonetheless.

I'm currently working on a bottle Johnson Creek Original 24mg but I also have bottles of all strengths MyFreedomSmokes has (from 48 down to 0) of their Marlboro flavor and it seems pretty good. one bottle of unflavored 60mg/ml from another place that I haven't explored yet (I have plans for mixing it and very possibly using it in some of my alternate NRT experimenting)

oh and I like colby (any type) in huge chunks. I am a huge 'cheese addict' if I have it in here :)

Are you hitting them too hard or too often? When I am vaping heavy, I have my pt and a batt going and rotate them so that the cartos don't get over heated. Also, at the first taste of "burned marshmellow" I drop about 10 drops in the carto and then I'm good for a few more hours...

I had a very similar experience when I first started out. I just couldn't seem to find the right tobacco flavor, some came close but none of them were exactly what I was looking for. After a month or so of vaping different tobacco flavors I decided to order a sampler pack of different flavors. I quickly realized that I had been barking up the wrong tree the whole time... just some food for thought ;)

Now I vape a berry flavor most of the time and also really enjoy cola and RY4 (closest thing to tobacco I can even stand now) . I'd suggest ordering a sampler or just trying some flavors you like but don't associate with smoking; possibly with a higher mg than you've been using.

Good luck, I hope you find the 'IT' flavor(s) that work for you!

Mema,

To me, 555 is a tobacco flavor with a "nutty" overtone. The aftertaste is kind of like peanuts or cashews.

FWIW, when I first tried 555 juice (in an 801) I hated it. It made me sick to my stomach. I ran out of my Mboro juice and it was all I had until my next order came in. By the time that bottle was gone, I loved it.

That was not v4l 555 juice.

mema, don't feel bad. i've had my VK since October and still can't hang up the analogs. i am, however, down from 1.5 packs per day to 5 or 6 per day. my daughter is in shock because the only times i've ever not wanted an analog i ended up in the hospital because i was THAT sick. i too am trying to find that IT vape. the closest thing i've come to it is coffee and cappucinno. they are so yummy that i can vape them all day long ... speaking of which, i need to refill my cartos very soon ...
