The RG500 and copper drip tip are coming from FT (also ordered a wood drip tip). So when the one gets here from the US I'll just have to use another topper until the RG500 gets here from FT, but they had a 5 day ship wait, so it will be a while. Down the road I might order the Bronze RG500, but I have to cut back for a little while, now got 8 orders incoming, 3 with no tracking yet.

I've got a couple of the RG500's too, there a good performing bottom coil system. I got them mainly for the look though, something a little bit different from the norm.

I think my next order will be some jwraps, to be honest, I don't really need anything at the moment. I'm fine for juices, mods, toppers etc, so it's just a case of something shiny catching my eye

I may try it directly onto rope mate, though i am not sure if it would catch the cotton like mesh does. It is a good idea to build a micro coil and drop the wick and cotton though. That way you can just slip the thing out, and put some new cotton on when needed.

Yep I know what you mean mate. Makes maintenance dead easy

I'm pretty sure the cotton will work with the rope though Terry, especially if the rope has a bit of juice on it first, should help with the pick up of cotton.

i now have this build on the kraken with 400mesh 1.6ohm micro single coil and have put the kick in turned up to 12 watts.
the vapor is close to the video and thats with hangsen pg ry4 i do love to mess with coils and wicks.
try the rope let us know how it goes you could always wrap a small piece of mesh at the top if it wont pick the cotton up.

Noticed you've got an aga Daz. Have you drilled out the airhole, or is it standard size mate ??

yes not from ft bought in the uk only drilled slightly bigger its still quite a tight draw didn't want to go to big and ruin it as i don't know who just sells the caps.
that's why i went for the kraken with it's adjustment.

Yep all done and wicking fine. The first coil i made was shorting so i ripped that one out and started from scratch. I did 12 wraps of 30 gauge and it was taking forever to heat up, and reading 2.8 ohm`s.

So i kept the same coil in and took 4 wraps off, now @ 1.8 still a little too high for me but it will do for now. Right - on to the cotton, did it the same way as rip tripper and it worked fine. It does vape very well and it`s good to know that it works, as you said mate less maintaining.

My next objective is getting a coil in which is around 1 to 1.5 ohm`s, and it should be perfect. I reckon about 6 or 7 wraps should do it.

Well that's a good result then mate. I'll probably have a try with the aga and rope tomorrow, pointless ripping out the RSST wick yet, it's still going strong - I'm on about tank number 6 now.

Hopefully, I'll get some dripping done too with the new juices.

yes mate i think that is the only thing with using an ekowool sleeve, the one i took off before; although still going strong it was properly gunked up as well as the coil. And as i said before with cotton it is just a case of pulling the wick out, dry burn, and change the cotton. SIMPLES

I'll have to stick with the ekowool sleeve for now though. With the cotton pads I've got being compressed, it will be a pain trying to do a sleeve with them. I'll have a play tomorrow though and see what happens.

So on to today's update :

I've been in a dripping frenzy today.

Tried all the steamgunk juices and the 2 small samples I got from Zeus juice

Steamgunk :
Sherbert lemons - tastes exactly how you'd expect it to taste, but not very fizzy and not a very strong taste 7/10.
Lemon meringue pie - sweet lemon taste and I can taste the meringue and crust with a bit of cream 8/10.
Strawberry cream tart - sweet strawberry and a lovely creamy note, not very strong though 8/10.
Twilight - the best one, fruity, full bodied with a hint of cream, lovely depth of flavour 9.5/10.

Zeus samples (but in 0 nic) :
Khonas Kooler (think I spelled it right) - don't normally like menthol, but this one is pretty good, very strong menthol taste, unblocks the sinuses well 7/10.
Aphrodites affair - not too sure on this one cos I tried it right after the menthol. So I can't really rate it yet.

I've loaded up one of the Vmods too with Betelgeuse, the flavour is only just coming through, cos I had some blueberry in it. But so far it's looking good. Hopefully as good as Gravity
