Well Focalecig sent the wrong batteries :(

I ordered
$15.60 EGO 900mAh 0.6" LCD Voltage Adjustable Rechargeable Battery for Electronic Cigarette-Black/Silver(2-PCS)
Notice Voltage Adjustable

I got 2 of these (black/silver)
$8.15 EGO 900mA Rechargeable Electronic Cigarette Battery with LCD(Random Color)
Notice Voltage NOT Adjustable.

Sucks after a 24 day wait. I emailed them, but cost wise it will not be worth it to send them back, and also wait 2 months to get a replacement. One thing about FT (so far) they have always send what I ordered, might be lower quality than I expected, but the right item.

Well that is a bummer mate, I would at least expect them to refund you the difference so you are not out of pocket.
Well someone who DID NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING, already tried to fix it. When I get time I will see if I can fix what they FU, but it will take a bit of time. Still I got the longer tube and a iClear30, so I didn't loose really. He also paid $6.20 of that $15 to ship it to me. I may take it all the way apart just to see how it ticks, then use the pieces to build some kind of mod.

I think i would be having some serious words with the person you bought that from burnie, They have sold you something knowing it is faulty and that is bang out of order.:sneaky:

That's proper crappy Burnie :(

How can they get something like that wrong. Did you pay by Paypal ?? I'd just do a chargeback.

There's no excuse for getting something so wrong. Their not even close in price either, what a bummer.

Have you contacted them, they should re-imburse you return postage if you have to send them back as it's their fault.

Thinking about the SVD, it would be cool in a box mod if you go down the DIY route :)

I think I had more trouble with that insulator cos mine was broken, so put a new one in which was probably a bit larger.

Glad that the Kayfuns working well for you mate.

The screws are from left to right :

Flat head screw - air flow adjuster (that I haven't got a driver small enough to fit)
Oval hole - is the actual airhole.
Deeply recessed hole - is the ball bearing fill port (but mine didn't have the ball in place - so I stuck a screw in there to block it off)

Is that what you mean mate ??

Yep it is ian cheers mate (no instructions you understand):p I`m not to bothered about the fill port cos i will just fill it from the top, but i wasn`t 100% sure which was the airflow adjustment. Thanks.

No probs mate.

I've not got a screwdriver small enough to adjust the airflow, luckily the draw is perfect for me - it's a supeb vape though :)

What mod have you got it on Terry ??

I'm gonna shoot off now anyway, knackered now with being up since 5.30 with about 4 hours kip.

See you tomorrow.

At the minute it is on my TVS mate, I have got another mod in my wishlist alongside some more batteries and a new nitecore 14 charger.

Well the price of what I ordered was less than the other. The one I ordered was for 2 batteries ($15.60), the other is priced for 1, but they sent 2 ($16.30). But they have changed the prices, but whichever way we are talking pennies.

I think i would be having some serious words with the person you bought that from burnie, They have sold you something knowing it is faulty and that is bang out of order.:sneaky:
I knew it was faulty when I bought it, just didn't know he had tried to fix it already. He said "For Parts" in the sale, so he did not lie. I still think I can do something with it, but was hoping for an easy fix. But it gives me something to play with without mucking mu my Good SVD. :)

That's proper crappy Burnie :(

I have emailed them, but it is what it is. When ordering from China we all take a risk with every order. I give my business to the companies that take care of me in the long run, FT is one of them. Shipping is not their fault, they get it out the door, and Correct, then it is in someone elses hands. Lots blame them for the shipping delays, not me if they get it out the door and correct that is all they can do. But if they make a mistake, it happens, then I see what they do and go from there. Regardless waiting 3 1/2 weeks to get the wrong item does suck, not that I really needed it. I could use a different battery every time one goes dead and not use the same one twice for several weeks, I have Lots of stuff.

Thinking about the SVD, it would be cool in a box mod if you go down the DIY route :)
I started in 2009 doing a lot of box mods, some of my first posts, if you are board and want to look. Got 5v regulators from Tandy, stacked unsafe batteries, build lots of stuff, so I can use the parts for something, when I get time. I still have a 601 pipe I want to rebuild, just haven't had the time.

Well going to watch the tube with the DW, back in a while.

Looks like a fair bit of stealth stuff there ;)

Here is one of them (SVD in 350 mode for comparison). 450mAh battery, sanded off the black paint, with cap it is 5" long, fits in pocket just like a pen.

Hits good for a CE4. Have loaded it with 36mg for that hit when I need it.

Ok, I let focalecig off the hook, not worth the hassle.
----------------------------------
Ok, took a lot of thought on my part on my reply, but here is what I said.
-----------------------------------
Hello (My Real Name),
We found out the problem. This might because the processing staff didn't clear the SKU area on warehouse.
We apologize for the problem. Would you like to be refunded or reshipped?
But you know, the Spring Festival is upcoming. Many products are sold out. If you choose the latter choice, we will further confirm with you after our supplier contact us within few hours. (We will try our best to resend you before the logistic company close).
No bother about resend issue, you can ship to our American warehouse address in CA. (we will take charge of shipping fee).
(My Real Name), we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We appreciate your trial on Focalecig, but some problems may happen due to order quantity, we are not try to find any excuse about it, but we hope you understand we cherish every customer.
Look forward to hear from you.
Best Wishes,
Doris

My Reply:

Hi Doris,
Thank You for the Prompt reply to my email, it is Very Much Appreciated, and that means a LOT. The EGO's I got are not useless to me, as I give them to new vapors all the time, which is why I order them, so I can still use them as gifts to others. I was just not happy Not getting what I ordered. I understand you are a new vender, but getting orders correct is a Very Important part of doing business, and if I didn't tell you, you would not know. Ok, you paid shipping to send me the wrong EGO's, I send them back, Cost you more Shipping, you send me the right ones, Cost you more Shipping. Ok I don't know what you pay for shipping but we are talking about a $16 item, not worth you loosing money over. I'll keep them and just give them to new vapors down the road. Please use this as a learning experience and get your people to make sure to ship the correct items, as correcting mistakes cost money, and makes people not want to order again because they are upset, which cost you money, see where I am going here. Will I order again? Don't know, have to think about it. Still don't like everything says ships in 3 to 7 days, stuff you have in stock should say so. Hope you have a wonderful day and a Happy New Year.

Must admit I've always fancied making my own box mod one day. I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron and can normally decipher wiring diagrams etc.

I will make something unique one day, I already know how I want it to look - a "steampunk" inspired design with a skull motif whose eyes light up when the mod is fired. But for now I'll settle for my new jwraps for the Vamo and one of the Vmods. I've already approved the Vamo design, we're just in the process of tweeking the Vmod design now.

I think when I get round to doing my own box mod, I'll probably base it on the DNA20 or use the internals from a Vamo - but you know me, it's pointless holding your breath waiting for me to get started

Another bagua mate, you must really like them to get another one ;)
Yes it`s a different design to the one i have Ian, but this one hits so well it would be daft to get anything else which may not be as good.:)

I know what you mean mate. If it works well why change it for something else.

It might be a month, a year or 3 years before I get round to doing a box mod mate, you know me. Thanks for the offer though, your a Gem amongst Men

Hurry up with the pinacolada mate, oh and the blackcurrant.

With the flavour concentrates being new, it will take me a while to suss out the percentages first. I'll probably do my usual unscientific taste though.

Taste a drop of flavour if it :

1. Hardly tastes of anything, start at 15-20%
2. Has a strong taste but doesn't linger, start at 12-15%
3. Has a strong taste that lingers for about a minute, start at 8-12%
4. Oh my God, give me water now my tongue is on fire, start at 5-8%

Don't worry mate, you will get the blackcurrant and pinacolada (maybe for Xmas) ;)

I received the wire rope today from the uk =] Looks magnificent, but how did you decide how to CUT it? o_O I'll wait for my weekend to use it... or later. I've been using clearos for awhile now for ease... I'll get to building a topper with the rope in a bit =]

I got the KSD Novice to replace my eGos that are slowly dying on me Authentic KSD Novice Hybrid Mechanical Mod Had to order 14500 batteries, they were button tops from CHINA and wrapped in tinfoil - I ordered on Amazon and thought they'd be shipped from stateside :/ Anyway, the buttontop batteries are too long, even though it says telescopic, it isn't... I've changed out a HUGE o-ring at the firing pin hoping to give the battery a bit more space, but still can't get it screwed together properly :/ I ended up ordering 4 MORE 14500 batteries, but FLATTOP this time. It's a cute little mod, heavy hitting on a clearo, but the batteries die pretty quick... I changed out 2 this AM alone while I waited to go to work. I hope the new batteries are better.

a9y3br.jpg

Sorry about the blurry picture, I took several but this was actually the clearest :/

The Vamo S parts arrived at my friend's house, so I shipped my Vamo off this AM to get it retrofitted by him. Vamo V5 S Mod - www.simply-mods-creations.be My Vamo is gunmetal and the Vamo S parts are SS/aluminium, so I am hoping it will be a gorgeous piece. I'm not sure how heavy it will end up being, but the Vamo is one heavy beast to begin with :/ I'll post picks once I get it back... surely within a week.

You will have to ask hubby to cut your rope lisa, as it is quite difficult. I am sure he will have some good enough "wire snips" to do it though.

Have you tried screwing a 510/ego or 510/510 into it? If the threads have softened that can do it (may look a bit odd but hey - use a beauty ring (if it will screw on)). :)

You just need to wrap a bit of insulating tape around the wire where your going to cut it, to stop it fraying. Then use a set of wire snips, you can get them from a DIY place - is it Home Depot in the US ??

You don't need an expensive set of snips, I think Terry paid about $2 for his. But make sure that the cutting blades touch when they are closed. You can't use scissors, cos the cutting blades overlap, so it will just chew the wire - hope that makes sense. Or you could use a dremmel with a small cutting wheel.

Those Vamo mods look really cool Lisa. Some of those steampunk ones are amazing. I love stuff like that - things that look really weird and over the top ;)

Yep, i can actually get an ego adapter on mate, but i don`t have a beauty ring so anything i put on there just looks daft with the exeption of an evod.

And i can`t remember last time i touched an evod, but i will stick it away with the rest of my back up stuff.:)
