Took a new PT/EVOD coil, pulled out all the silica, dry burned, re-wicked with cotton from a Q-Tip (also put a cotton flavor wick). Set SVD to 8w, DANG, Should not have used 36mg/ml juice. Sort of like when I smoked, not had one for hours then hit that first drag, WoW. Took several before it hit. I know what to do when I have that craving now. Even turned down it gives a good hit. Got to see if I got the cotton right and if I get a dry hit or girgle, but so far looking good.

Terry, Try it in that EVOD, might supprise you.

In all honesty burnie, i think i have found my nirvana when it comes to vaping you must understand "that i am not knocking any atty" including the evod.

But the tanks i have got running now (most with micro`s and cotton) and two with s/s rope with cotton give me all i need; Inc throat hit, flavour, and vapour.

I now seem to have a regime:- start of the day i drip cappucinno with my coffee,(not into my coffee Ian)
Then i will have a tobacco or two-then through the rest of the day i like fruity little numbers. Followed by my evening vape mainly consisting of tobacco`s again.

I fully understand all i need to know about rebuildables, but with the vivi nova and evod with their tendecy to leak, they are consigned to the back of the drawer.These now sit awaitng the inevitable. And that is either the bin or Ians house "All depends on how quick he can knock me some juices up"

Glad your enjoying the cotton Burnie. As long as it's wicking ok, you shouldn't get any dry hits. But believe me, you'll soon taste the difference if you get one
I normally go for 18mg juice instead of 24mg when I use cotton, so stepping down the nic is probably a good idea. You'll find the cotton doesn't last as long as silica, but it's really easy to pull it out, dry burn the coil and pop some more in. It's probably a good idea to stick to the same flavour too, cos of the absorbent nature of cotton.

I am in group #5, so 2-4 months out, I expect =] I've not decided whether to buy some specialty wood for it or just choose wood that the maker has on hand :/ He said the specialty wood is excessively rough on his tools and he may have to raise the price should this be the case.

You're probably better off just going with what he has in stock wood wise if it keeps the price reasonable. You'll still have something totally unique in a couple of months time. Plus, thinking about it, just imagine if you buy some really expensive wood, send it to him, he starts to machine it and something goes wrong - having to buy another piece of wood would be a killer.

The Neme/Igo and Innovape driptip look great together. The brass sections match in really well, looks like they were made for each other

I'm not big on drippers... I prefer the leisure vapes of the tanks and cartos :/ I will say, though... this S316 really clears your sinuses when running 24mg LOL No odd flavors coming through...very clean vape =]

How much rope did you get Lisa ?? Looks like you've got enough there to last at least 40 years. It's probably best to torch the rope too before you use it - but give it a good few minutes to cool down afterwards, it does tend to retain heat for a long time.

I`m not too sure going off your pics lisa, but have you put any cotton around the rope ? or just laid cotton on top of the coil and rope ? If it is the latter stop right there, and don`t use it.

Yes there may well be lisa. you need to wrap cotton around the rope before coiling, otherwise you will have some terrible problems with shorting or even worse. As it is you have got wire touching wire, and that is a no no.

The wire rope is mainly used for building vertical coils lisa, as the juice travells UP the rope to the wick which is either cotton or ekowool. please don`t use that set up as it is, we don`t want any accidents.

I`m afraid not lisa, just break that set up down and start afresh As i said the wire rope is for using in things like your I atty, or any gennies. The rope works by using cappiliary motion, (i think i have spelt it correctly lol) but what that means is - the juice creeps up the rope feeding the wick.

I will try to find some more you tube vids tomorrow for you to watch at your leisure, regarding wire rope and cotton/ekowool. but please don`t use that atty as you have it now.

I pulled it straight away =] Have a 1.5oHm micro-coil around cotton now.
