I always thought anealing copper was where you heated it up to stabilise the molecules, like with oxy-acetylene. Bearing in mind this is from my metalwork education from 30 years ago, so I could be wrong
Glad you get the issue sorted though mate.
I'm gonna be really careful with 2 of the drippers I got. I noticed they are really tight on the seals, so I've not tried taking them apart yet. Might use a little heat or maybe some juice carefully dropped inside to lube the seals so I don't rip them. I'll have to see tomorrow at playtime

Would it not be better to try and soak the drippers in something, like olive oil. I have never tried myself, but it may just stop you ruining the seals on that first breaking open. Just a thought

well i can honestly say, i haven`t had any crap from f/t as of yet

Appart from them joe 90 specs. now they are a pile of dung, totally un-useable. I think i will just snap one of them off the arms,and use it like a jewelers louppe. see if i have got any old 1933 pennies knocking about

Hmm, as i said just a thought mate.

I have read a lot of posts about people having the same problem, and it came to me a full bath in a natural oil might do the trick. After all you can always wash it off, before use.

I might just try some carefully applied heat on the metal and see what happens. I'll have a bucket of water ready just in case

A bit of juice would be enogh to lube it, but yes if they were to use some food safe oil when assembling them in the first place would be better. By the way just went pupblic in the other thread

Seeing as you're all waiting for the update, here it is, especially for you Terry

Managed to separate the drippers with a little heat from the gas hob and some mole grips, without totally destroying the O-rings. Drippers and ithaka washed out, now just drying, all coils have been checked and the ohms are right.
Smaller batteries charged up with some more 18650's on the charger now.

Ordered 3x efest 18350 flat tops, 3x AW IMR 18350's, some kanthal, 2ml syringes and ecowool from vapegear.
Also ordered some 10ml samples from megavape in 18mg nic for the drippers. Flavours are: caramel macchiato, french vanilla and caramel, bounty bar, vanilla custard, fudge brownie and vanilla cupcake.
Sounds like I'm opening a cake shop with those flavours. Plus I even managed to get some washing done too

I'm taking you're advice about a lower nic juice with the drippers, that's why I've ordered 18mg instead of my usual 24mg. But I'm still gonna try some dripping later today with some 24mg DIY juice. I need to sample my latest batch of choco/caramel, not had any for a few days and I really miss it

A bit of advice please. Just tried the YK1 dripper on my Vamo. It's showing about 1.6 ohms, so no problem there. Tried a quick dry burn, seems ok. Added a few drops of liquid, popping nicely. Tried a vape at 8 watts, very little vapour. Went up to 11 watts in stages, got more vapour but not a lot.

So, how many drops do you normally put in at a time. I've tried 10 drops, didn't seem enough. Tried saturating the wicks and got a bit more vapour, but a lot of leakage through the airhole. Also, do you trim your wicks so they don't stick out past the sides of the catch cup or not.

Any advice greatly appreciated by this dripping virgin

Ok mate first off,10 drops is way too much,hence the leaking. 2nd i wouldn`t worry about using the vamo and watts,put it on a mech with a fresh battery.It sounds like you flooded it mate.so just keep going till it dries out a bit, then just add about 4 or 5 drops, and top up as you need to. i use 3mm silica doubled over,then trim the loose ends and leave the loop. try and get it so the loop is sticking up more or less leaning upwards so it rests against the sleeve. it usually takes about 15 20 minutes to run a new coil in mate,just stick with it you will get there.

Cheers for that mate. I'll have a play later on with it. To be honest, I had a feeling it might be flooded, guess with everything new it's a learning curve.
