Managed to accumulate enough FT rebate points to spend, so have ordered quite a few new tips including a couple of those wood ones that you didn't think much of Terry.

On the drugs bit I tried ........ when I was a lot younger (once only, never again), and like you Trish, I only ever visit the Doc when it is serious, and don't like taking anything I don't have to, apart from my meds for Angina I only use Paracetamol and Loperamide Hydrochloride, when needed.

News front, I don't know why people believe the rubbish that is printed in them, I haven't bought a newspaper for over 20 years, most of them should be put out of business, and the Daily Fail is the worst of the bunch, a load of Fascists, they were supporters of Hitler just before the war.

I am the same as you bob, not bought a paper since... Well it has been that long i can`t remember. :D And yes what a load of crap that paper is, i wouldn`t even use that as toilet paper !! and the daily star, what a bloody joke that is, with all that is going on in the world ATM, and all they can report on is pigging big brother.

And by the way bob, that is more like a number 12 on your chin.

My bro went through all those, started off with the Beezer, then the RR, followed by the Bonny, TBird and finally the Goldie, then he got married
Ah! we all have to grow up sometime! C'est la vie :)

Neither have we, I use the clippers as well, got a pro set, No.1 on the facial and No.2 on the top, I also do the wife's every now and then - hairdressers are too expensive these days, even just for a cut and blow dry.
I can't bear the endless prattle and tittle tattle! Get on with it and let me go! Found it easier to let my hair get longer and just trim a bit off now and then!

I've seen the films on TV, but not read the books, love Sci-Fi, Detective, Thrillers & Horror, Fav authors are Dale Brown, Lee Child, Tom Clancy, Patricia Cornwell, Clive Cussler, James Patterson, Terry Pratchett, Ian Rankin & Kathy Reichs
Most of my reading in the last couple of decades has been spies and underhand dealings in the banking trading floors. Worked my way through all the Daniel Silva ones so far, Charles Cumming, Henry Porter, Ridpath, Finder, Frey, Kilduff, Ludlum, and a brilliant one by Nelson De Mille.

Frenilla is on my list of one to get, presume that is 8th July and not 7th Aug as Yanks always put month first.
Yes, July 8 ...and another one that's steeping and due probably September: Cherry Rose Tobacco! ...and he says it'll be in MAXVG :)

Something really bad happened to me 40 years ago and it's not the sort of thing you ever forget. Add that to the incompetence I later saw with my Father, and more recently my husband where the GP completely missed the fact he had an ever growing patch of basal cell carcinoma on his forehead for two years (I bypassed the doctor & whisked him off to the Nuffield last January!), and you'll see why I have no trust whatsoever in most of the medical profession.
It's been because of what happened to me that I saved most of what I earned before my husband retired, so that we could at least help ourselves when it came to worrying situations health-wise.
We honestly do trust our vet more than our GP! (Just been up there too - doggy fine but needed eye drops!)
Normally, I'd have seen the sister or doctor about the breathing problems I get with certain aspects of the e-liquids, but instead I got myself a private prescription of Ventolin. Far easier than subjecting myself to a barrage of questions and all manner of wagging fingers! I've only used it 3 times but it helps to know it's there! Gradually managing to avoid that which affects me!

The media is dangerous at times! They spout about what they know few facts of & fabricate stupid headlines that are misleading to say the least. I fell for them asking to do interviews/articles a few times before I realised they weren't to be trusted! The better magazines are OK though.

I tend to let it grow until I think it is too long, which is usually when the hair gets unmanageable, then out come the clippers.

Luckily not too much of that in the barbers, although with the change from barbers to unisex hairdresser it's probably just as bad these days.

I've been fairly lucky with my Doc, she's very good, main problem is trying to get to see her, because everybody wants to see her, rather than any of the others in the group, I have an appointment for Tuesday about my Angina, booked 2 weeks ago. When I used to smoke, she never had a go at me, just used to ask every now and then if I was still smoking, so hoping she will be pleased with me now that I have quit.

The only newspaper I read these days is the free "Metros" that we get on the bus in the morning, but I take most articles with a very big pinch of salt. No way I'm paying for a gutter press tabloid when I can read one for free - I'm tight like that

Trisha, I really would highly recommend you read The Lord of the Rings (big letters for extra emphasis) It honestly is the greatest fantasy book ever written in my opinion. But be warned, it's a big book. The films are superb, but they really don't do the book justice. For me, a good book takes me to a totally different place. When I read, I have to have a quiet house with no interruptions. A good book totally engrosses me, so I forget about everything else around me. A great Author can describe a place or setting so well, that I can picture it in my mind. Last time I read Tolkien, I started at 10am and when I next looked up at the clock it was 6pm - that's how involved I get, I forget about eating, drinking, even going to the loo  That's how good the book is :D

Bob, you can't beat a freebie from FT. I'm coming up to my fourth gift certificate soon  Does it sound like I buy too much from China

Ron, did you actually vape the Monkey .... mate  Seriously though, if it's good, I'll see if I can clone it and send some to my juice tester (Terry).

Terry, that was quick, well done Royal Mail :D Glad you like the Address on the parcel  I'd recommend using a micro coil though mate. I'm using 2mm coils with the rayon, from what I've read it's better with a slightly larger coil than a tiny one like cotton. Just pack the rayon in fairly snug and have your tails in the vertical juice channels almost to the bottom of the deck, they don't need to be as long as cotton tails. The rayon wicks that much better than cotton. Hope it works out well for you mate :D

Well I've just managed to pick up a black Stingray mod set from the UK, cheaper than FT.

Got an e-mail from Paypal with a free £10 voucher if I signed up for ebay. Didn't think it would work, cos I used to have a Business Sellers account with ebay a few years back, had loads of problems when I came to close it and thought I was banned for life from using ebay again. But I signed up, no problem, so I can buy on ebay again :D

Saw the stingray set for £25, on FT it works out at about £22, so with my Paypal discount I got it for £15 and it will be here in less than a week - I call that a result. Plus I can use the Stingray with the Aqua in hybrid mode

That's a great idea Bob. It does my head in that all other programmes get set back by World Cup footie or Wimbledon. If you want to watch it fine, stick it all on a dedicated channel, except for Formula 1 - all programmes should have their time slots changed for F1 :laugh:

Sounds like a real bargain. Is it wholly unregulated or can you kick it? And can you shove 18650s in it?

It's unregulated mate. All 3 tube sizes, so you could probably kick it with the 18650 tube and a 18500 battery, that might work. I've not got a kick though, so I won't be able to try it for you, sorry.

About 10 years ago I went to my GP with a discolouration on my arm, he said it was Eczema and prescribed steroid cream, it didn't help.

I went back 6 months later as it hadn't cleared up and he made the same diagnosis, same prescription and same result.

I stopped bothering him

3 years later, I managed to knock my arm against a rough brick wall right over the patch, it kept scabbing and weeping until I finally decided to try the doctor again. The old guy had retired and the new doctor took one look at it and recognised a BCC when she saw it.

Another couple of weeks and it was gone although I have a really impressive scar on my arm where it was cut out :)

What's a BCC Carl ??

When I hover over it, ECF says it's a Bottom Coil Changeable - somehow I don't think it's that

My sentiments exactly! Big Brother tripe, tennis, football, repeats, same old-same old fly on the wall boredom ....it's appalling! If I relied on TV to fill my evenings, I'd be furious!
No-one in our family are either football fanatics nor tennis fans, and it gladdens me to see other people like yourself say the same: why no sport channel!

Luckily not too much of that in the barbers, although with the change from barbers to unisex hairdresser it's probably just as bad these days.
Who knows ..I keep away! :) You're right about them being expensive though.

Only one of those I know and read is Ludlum.
I've loved the Daniel Silva books - basically, the central character is a Mossad agent who's cover is that he's an accomplished art restorer. they have 'helpers' in other countries such as a London art dealer, and the stories are extremely well written. Best to start with his first one though! (all listed on his website) :)
This is the De Mille book that I found so good: Nelson DeMille - The Charm School I must try another one or two of his books.

I found the first doctor I could trust for a long time back in 94/95. He was great and totally understood my fears, and had great reception and nursing staff. Sadly, he retired and the practice was taken over by a bigger one. Awful receptionists like bulldogs!
This practice seems to put people on a conveyor and fill out tick box questionnaires, add up the score and issue a prescription for something either unnecessary or unwanted! I got a letter a week ago telling me that 'my hypertension review' was due! What hypertension review? I don't have one - nor do I want one! I see the sister every 3-6 months and she checks things until next time. That's enough for me! They know better than try to give me statins and other drugs.
They seem to hold people to ransom: do this, take that and then we'll sort out that which is killing you! :) That's what my husband got when he went back about his forehead ...he got yet another type of statin pushed at him, and sure enough, like all the others, he got severe side effects from them (I put them down the toilet!) His forehead lesion was totally misdiagnosed!
The doctor we saw had been the old ones partner, but he's let both of us down ...and half the people who've seen him too! The Sister had also been with the old practice, and she's told us that there's now a lady doctor there, and just like yours, she's popular and very good at what she does! It's her we'll be asking to see if have the need!

They're all a bunch of Bankers (spelt that wrong)
Yes! ..and it's not 'bonkers' that you mean! :D

The only newspaper I read these days is the free "Metros" that we get on the bus in the morning, but I take most articles with a very big pinch of salt. No way I'm paying for a gutter press tabloid when I can read one for free - I'm tight like that
I either switch the TV on Sky or BBC news channel for a few minutes, or look on the Sky news website at lunch time to see what's happening ..and that's usually enough until 6pm.

I actually think there's a very good chance our younger son may have it - I'll ask him. If not, I'll get a copy and see how it goes.
I tend to work really late as you know, and that needs quiet uninterrupted time too! Thing is, for all I'll be tired at 2 or 3am, my brain is still ticking over at full speed, and if I don't read, I'll start thinking of all the woes, troubles, worries and past sadness's (they all creep in late at night if not careful!) So, I snuggle down with an extra pillow, read, and my mind switches off all but the book. Eventually my eyes start to close, so I just throw the pillow out, put the book down and switch the light off ..all without opening my eyes again - dead to the world until I get woken up :)

Forgot you hate banana

1.5 mm should be ok, but I wouldn't go any smaller. On the Kayfun/Russian you have the vertical channels and the horizontal ones. With cotton you normally have the tails coming out of the coil, over the sides of the deck in the vertical channels and it finishes off laid along the horizontal ones. With rayon cut the tails shorter, they only need to be the length of the vertical channels, they don't need to touch the horizontal ones. It's easier to fully juice up the wick and stick it to the sides of the atty where the vertical channels are, before you put the chimney on. My wick tails only stick out from the coil by about a centimetre - that's all you need mate :D

Sounds very familiar - except this doctor is the younger one of the two! I knew what it was eventually, and that was when I phoned the Nuffield, chose a dermatologist and two days later he was told within 3 seconds of entering his room what it was : BCC! Basal Cell Carcinoma. Not the one that kills people, but still, my husband literally blanched when he told him, and it did need checking to be sure.

I asked him to do the biopsy right away, and despite it being 8pm, he did it and the whole thing was removed by his plastic surgeon colleague under local anaesthetic two weeks later. (apparently one can wait months for it to be done with the NHS - it was anything up to a year at the time this happened last Christmas).
They did say after that he may have been better off with a general anaesthetic as it had been rather gruelling - the size of the removed area is around 3x2" and a graft was taken from his inner arm and stitched in place with a sponge pressure dressing stitched to that. It's healed beautifully, but he does have a large oval flat patch on the side of his forehead. Such a pity because it had been the size of my small finger nail in the beginning!

He has to wear a hat at all times and use sun protection block.

It may be a bit slow to start with, but once Frodo and company set out on their travels, it soon starts getting better. You'll be transported into a whole new world. As long as it doesn't send you to sleep straight away, that's the main thing  I do like other Authors too like Andy McNab, John Grisham and a few others, but Tolkien will always be my favourite.

Think I've got an iffy coil in my mini Protank at the moment - tastes sort of foisty? I've never had a bad coil before so not really sure - do I just chuck it away and use a fresh one?

Well, I changed that fusty coil for a new one yesterday and all was good! ...until half an hour ago and now the mini Protank is gurgling ...leaking a buit at the bottom! I think I have a few dodgy coils ..and they're the ones that came in the Kanger box with a Unitank! ...suppose I'll find another new one!
