Oy I've not gone yet

So you'll have to wait a bit longer for the peace and quiet ;)

Just spent the last 2 hours trying to download the Ryanair mobile app on my phone, in the end I gave up, I'll try it on the Wife's phone later.

Trisha, I can tell you why the glass on the machine cracked, I had it happen with a pint glass a few years ago and did some research. It's caused by tiny stress fractures in the glass and small impurities in the manufacturing process. Over time with hot and cold cycles these tiny stress fractures gradually get bigger, until they eventually go pop. If you look at a drinking glass, that's been used for a while, you'll see tiny white flecks in the glass. These are the stress fractures I was talking about. With drinking glasses their caused by hot wash cycles in a dishwasher then using cold drinks. With a washing machine it's probably a combination of zips rubbing against the glass and warm water from washing. That's my scientific theory anyway :D

The glass that went pop on me, had just been sat empty on the table at the side of me for about 10 minutes, suddenly heard a loud pop and the base just broke away

Their premade 33g 2ohm coils are a godsend for dripppers. You get 1 ohms with a dual coil dripper and it speeds thing up considerably. Highly recommended.

I've used their pre-made wicks for my Ithaka. I got the ones that have no resistance wire for the legs. Unwound the coil, gave it a good torching, made a couple of micro coils added some rayon and popped them in the Ithaka. Much easier than having to buy a wire welder to make up the coils I need for the Ithaka :D

I did wonder if it was something like that! After all, things like metal fatigue and small flaws in welds can suddenly cause something to fail for no initial apparent reason, so glass will be similar.

Any ideas on my leaking mini Unitanks ? ...I did see this short video but haven't a clue what he's putting in the coil: Kanger Protank 2 & Unitank Fix by Zbourne - YouTube

I've only got one Unitank Mini and I tend to buy all my tanks from UK sites, like myepack, making sure they are Authentic ones, not had a problem with mine, but don't use it much, as for that video, in the first part he took out the 2 flavour wicks and replaced it with a fatter one (just a normal piece of silica wick), in the 2nd part he took an o-ring off an old coil and doubled it up on the new one

Apart from two Unitanks from FastTech, all mine (plus mPT2) have been UK bought because when they were at a special price, they were virtually the same price as FT's authentic ones. Got them from UKECig store, Apollo and E-cigstore.
The ones from FT were purple, and the leaking ones are clear.

So, that was silica he used ..looked quite thick compared to what he took out of it :)
I knew what the little o ring was.

As Bob said, the guy took out the 1mm silica flavour wicks and it looks like he replaced them with a single 3mm flavour wick. If the heads had been wicked with cotton, they probably wouldn't even need the flavour wicks as cotton expands so much when it gets wet.

Finally managed to do the on-line booking with Ryanair, only problem is we're not sat together - probably a good thing, the Wife can't nag me during the flight now

I see ...not really an ideal solution then! :)

We had a problem with ryan air mate with the online booking, all was fine booking the outward journey but when it came to printing the boarding passes, again it was fine for leaving but for the return journey had to pay an extra £15 each. Either that or print them when on holiday, which i wasn`t prepared to do.

Exactly mate, that's one of the ways they get extra from you. You can only print the return boarding passes 7 days in advance, unless you pay extra to pre-book seats. I found out if you get the mobile app you can book and get the boarding passes that way. Where we're staying it's free wi-fi, so no charge for getting the return passes. But if you go away for less than 7 days it's not a problem.

Took bloody ages to get the mobile app working though, not enough space left on my phone, so had to use the Wife's.

you can pick up the silica for pennies and just cut it to the right size. The cotton is cheap too, but takes a little more work to fit.
I was thinking silica = not good, but of course, it's what's already in it! I could try doing that ...might manage it without throwing something!

I'll just send you some silica with your refurbished wicks Trisha (if you want some), I've got loads of it and I'll probably never use it. But most of the sites sell it :)

That sounds a good idea - just send me a few inches of it, and if I find that easyish to do, I'll get some! Thank you! :)

Nite!

hi bob I don't buy anything from myepack he might be fast at posting things out but wait until something goes wrong he refuses to answer e-mails and wont admit anything is wrong he is terrible to try to get a issue resolved I have binned 2 faulty items from there

I've had loads of stuff from him, no problems at all, if I did and he wouldn't answer emails, then I would just open a dispute with Paypal.

Will do Trisha. I'll pop a few inches of different thicknesses in - if you don't need them, just bin them. I don't use silica much these days.

forum looks different today all bright and summery

Thought I'd gone to the wrong place at first. Does look good though, nice upgrade :D

That's surprising Daz, that you needed to drop the nic - you've been vaping a while now haven't you mate ?? I wouldn't have thought the nic would make that much difference. But if you mix your own juice, it will work out a bit cheaper

Did you get the nucleus from FT mate ??
