Bus driver's humour mate, that's what I blame, I've been doing this job too long  Surprisingly, I got a similar response at work when I told the lads I was off for a fortnight - none of them seemed to be happy for me

No problem - at least I tried it! :)

Happy holidays! :)

Was worth a try Trisha.

I'll still probably wake up early tomorrow though, even if I'm not working :(

I'll have to get some of those for the Missus, that way I can switch them off when I tell her how much I spend on vaping

You are bloody joking aren`t you Ian, They are the most miserable people on this planet mate. :tongue

That's just with the passengers mate ;) In the canteen, it's like a comedy festival

We have to be careful of bus geeks you see. If we were happy and jovial on the bus, people might actually ask us questions, then we'd be even more late than normal. Stay miserable, have a quiet life and get finished on time

Thank you trisha, glad there are some sensible people on here tonight. :D
:) ...Well, I do try.

I've had a bitty, annoying day with no work done, and it's been too warm and airless! All made me pretty tired! I may just give up soon and get a full nights sleep for once ..was 3.55am when I got to bed last night/this morning. Was trying to finish a small painting (didn't manage it) so that I could do a few little jobs and then start on a new one this afternoon ....nothing went to plan and I'm no further ahead!
Still, we all get days like that ...I've had weeks of em

There's a lot to be said for keeping certain types of people at arms length :) Being chatty just attracts them!

Yes it has been awfully muggy today trish. Its hard to do anything when the air is so thick, can`t even sleep. :( It`s just started raining now here, so hopefully it will cool down a bit. A good nights sleep will work wonders for you trish, try having an early night.:)

I had a terrible migrain yesterday, i don`t get them a lot but when i do they are bad, numb headache, feeling sick, and some sort of flashing across my eyes.:( I still felt a bit dodgy today, but i think it is easing a bit. I am blaming the weather.

Think I've been making myself even more tired by worrying about what I'm not getting done due to interruptions and other problems getting in the way, and also the problems I've been getting with liquid ..or whatever it is!
Had the glass on the washing machine door suddenly go with a loud crack at 1.30am early Friday morning ...not in a hot room nor a cold one, hadn't been used for over a day and the door slightly ajar ..yet the glass suddenly decided to crack all the way around a few inches from the outer rim.
Machine 5.5 years old (LG) and the replacement door £120 ...weighed up the cost of that against a new one and decided on the door. The 2 minute job turned into a much longer one this morning (doesn't it always) Hinge just wouldn't line up to screw to the machine, then to cap it all, the hinge mechanism decided to fall back-over into the machine body. Son came and managed to fish it out and fit the door at last. Then got unexpected visitors ...and the afternoon was lost! Too hot, me tired - not good
I'm going to bed soon - you're right, I need some more sleep. I may get to do some work in peace tomorrow! Only had 6 hours for a weeks now and I can easily sleep for 8.

I'm lucky in that I've only ever had a few, but they are terrible. Sometimes nothing seems to help. Last time, I'd tried everything we had for headaches so the chemist recommended co-codamol ...2 tablets worked! Apparently though, it can make it worse, so only a last resort I think.
The fact you still feel out of sorts the day after isn't good either!
Could be all the concentrating you've done getting the new computer up and running properly? The heavy weather won't have helped.

It was pouring down here a short while ago. That should ensure cooler, fresher air tonight!

I was so tired last night I went to bed early, 'twas 20 degrees down here overnight, I just laid on top of the bed in me u/pants, woke up at 6 got into bed until 8, glad you sorted the sound thing out Terry, Ian's right about the humour, train drivers are just as bad, miserable as sin when punters come up to them, but always playing the fool in the messroom. Have a good time Ian, off to somewhere nice I presume, bet the lads at work are thinking how peaceful it's going to be for the next 2 weeks

Yes, was still too hot last night despite the heavy downpour!

Have you had any problems with the mini Unitank? I've had two that start to gurgle and leak this week, and a quick short search looks like I may not be alone. I even found one vendor site advising people to buy the Aerotank instead of the Unitank.

I thought I was missing something ...kept looking at the little seals etc. and changing coils ..still the same. I can actually blow the whole contents out by blowing down the mouthpiece!
I do have two others in use that work perfectly.

Interesting to have ordered two from fasttech recently and have them cancel the order - they cited manufacturer production problems!
I almost ordered two of the only colour they have left in the authentic ones last night, but thought to find out what was causing the leaking first.

Well that sounds strange about the washer trish, considering it wasn`t being used. What i have found is that it is best just to get a new one when things start going awry. These thing only seem to have a short lifespan these days, and at 5.5 years old it is probably a bit tired now.:(

It was an odd thing to happen and even the spares people thought so.

My first thought was to get a new one, but the best price is £670 and it's been a lean year with the galleries! Husband and son thought that if we get even another year from this one, it'll be worth it ....hope they're right because I was thinking exactly the same as you!

A friend of mine got the same machine/model a few months before we did and the PCB went on it early this year! over £400 to replace, so a no brainer for her to get a new one! They're brilliant machines - best I've ever had in 46 years, but I certainly don't want this one to start getting more problems!

Yep squeeze the last breath out of it trisha. £670 seems an awful lot of money though, but if that is the sort you like :) Personally we go for around the £300 mark, with no intergrated dryer though, and once it`s done with we just replace with a new one.

We usually get 5 or 6 years out of them. The one we are using now, which we got from tesco direct is fine but having said that it is only around 18 months old, so we will see. :)

EDIT: I have just seen that chefs have another liquid on sale "long shift" a tobacco vape. I dunno whether to try 10 ml of this, or just stick with the RY. Hmm.

It's the LG14023FDS6 - a gleaming black with chrome door ...lovely looking thing and it works better than any we ever had before ..and in 47 years, we've had a few. It has a large load capacity (great for duvets etc.) and a steam function that eliminates the need for very hot washes and lots of powder :) Just a washing machine, no dryer.
We had our kitchen & utility rooms re-done 5 years ago - for the first time in our lives we got to choose everything. I'd had a really good year so we decided to get the things we liked best for it.
The kitchen is gloss slab ivory with a black marble type Fireglaze work surface, and the utility room is gloss piano black with white marble surface. Finding a washing machine that not only matched with everything in the utility room, but worked beautifully, was a bonus! The tumble dryer next to it is a black Beko, but amazingly, the blacks matched.
My friend was impressed enough with hers that she got another LG when hers gave up, but a newer model with less flaws!

We expected/hoped to get 8/9 years. We had an Aqualtis before the LG, and passed it to our younger son ...they're still using it perhaps 4 times each week.
The tumble dryer we got in 1990 only just gave up the year after we passed that onto our son too. Some things last, some don't! :( Remains to be seen now how long the LG lasts.

Yes, I asked Lew if I could order it in VG and he said yes, but I had to steep it 3 weeks! :) If I don't find it interesting enough, I can always add vanilla or custard to it
