Well I've been a busy bunny tonight.

Got home and my spiritus order has arrived. Really impressed with the shipping, I know it's pricey stuff but I'm looking forward to vaping it and comparing the Custard's Last Stand to my Grant's Vanilla Custard. Plus the Gravity juice is green, GREEN I tell you - never had green liquid before, I'm gonna vape it in a clear tank

Anyway, decided to have a play with the Fogger. Managed to take the base apart (with mole grips), did a fix on the airflow section and also sorted out the positive pin so it won't short out. What a pain to do though, took me over an hour to put it all back together again. Then I decided to make my best ever micro-coil. Used a thick paperclip, just over 1mm in diameter, haven't got a clue how many wraps, probably about 15  cosit came out at 2.6 ohms - took me ages to do it, so I wasn't gonna throw it away. Managed to get some cotton through it, doubled it over at the juice slots and put some extra cotton inside the deck to stop any flooding. Put it on the Vamo at 7 watts, filled up with DIY banana cream 24mg and started vaping.

OH MY GOD. So far this thing is amazing. It's the best coil build I've ever done. At the moment it's as good as the KFL or the Taifun, I will use a lower nic juice next time though. So if it doesn't flood or short out, I'll be over the moon. Quite pleased with myself at the moment, after spending the best part of 3 hours setting it up :rickroll:

Haha! ABOUT TIME!!! =] I was feeling kind of odd that I am the only one getting it to work properly and actually a bit scared of rebuilding it :p Everywhere I go in ECF people are complaining about it. If they'd SELL IT CHEAP or GIVE IT AWAY FREE then it'd be great but they are just saying it sux :p

Terry glad you sorted out the issues from yesterday mate.

Lisa, just be careful of shorting with the Fogger, don't extend the bottom positive pin out too far, it can cause real problems with some of the Foggers.

Daz, the Aios looks great mate, nice buy there.

Jerri, if all the items are ready to ship, you should soon get a photo of your parcel ready to leave FT. Then the long wait with Singapore Post begins.

Cody, where are you ??? :p

I don't remember it being an issue... the pin had a rounded screw in it and I never adjusted it at all.

The ODDY, on the other hand, gave me some REAL TROUBLE getting the threads lined up and the center pin was always off centered and it wouldn't screw down properly... Really A LOT OF TROUBLE... I'll certainly not be buying another of those.

it shipped today, will my tracking number work in singapore ? thats where its sending me is singapore post first- i got usps with delivery confirmation on my shipment so that should be about what 10 days approxamatly ?

The Sing Post site does crash quite a lot and generally takes a while to update. The best site for tracking is this one mate, just copy and paste your tracking number into the search box :
Track Shipment(s)

10 days is a reasonable estimate, but with Christmas fast approaching I'd give it longer just to be on the safe side. Plus, they don't count weekends as shipping days either, so 10 days would be 2 full weeks.

I just found out about the shorting issue through reading other threads Lisa. Not all Foggers seem to be affected though, so you are probably one of the lucky ones :)

You know me though, I like tinkering with stuff. Can't understand why people are complaining though, it's a dirt cheap atty. You will get some problems with it, cos of the price. If the moaners want a perfect item they should spend the $100+ and get a genuine one

I love it when that happens. You go on the tracking thinking, there's no way there will be an update and BAMM the stuff has moved

When something goes from waiting for 10 days to Restocking, the best thing to do Lisa, is open a ticket with them. That's what I did with the Kayfun when it went into restocking mode. They shipped it within 2 days and added the extra SS tank and other bits for free. Someone on the FT forums suggested I open a ticket and it worked a treat. Just tell them, you're looking for an idea of a possible shipment date, seems to gee them up a bit.

I've been chain vaping the fogger now for a while, so I'm gonna slow down for a bit or I won't sleep tonight ;)

Nah, they sent me an email asking why I cancelled... I just deleted it. The Kayfun was the last bit I needed. I am having issues ordering and being happy saving money alone. I order something I am REALLY EXCITED ABOUT and once the package arrives a month later I'm over it... could have done without it... already bought 2 stateside because I got a better deal LOL

I know what you mean Lisa. I'm like a kid in a candy shop sometimes when I order, if it arrives quickly the excitement is still there. I am looking forward to the Russian 91's arriving though ;)

I'm going to log off now anyway and do a bit of reading before bed. Terry will probably pop up now that I'm going

See you later.

That is MY PROBLEM. I have spent MANY HOURS tearing apart, rebuilding, tear apart, rebuild, just can't get it right. I read LOTS of post if it is right, it is Great, but I don't have time to spend 3 hours futzing with it. I can take my time and rebuild an EVOD, Vivi Novi, or CE4 rebuild-able, in less than 10 minutes, and they work great, but this Fogger is just a PIA. IMHO I'm going to keep trying a few more times, but my patience is wearing thin.

I'm waiting for my chi you / AIOS combo to arrive but I don't like mesh, have you tried it with just cotton on tank mode?
any pointers?

I did try but couldn't get it to wick might need a short mesh out of the tank onto the cotton or ecowool sleeve over mesh.

Post seems to be moving pretty quick for this time of the year (in the UK at least). The only vape order i have placed recently was from joose juice and that got here within a couple of days. I've also ordered from amazon, debenhams & toys r us in the last week and all with the standard delivery and they have all got here in 2 - 3 days.

Well that was a lot of faffing about BUT........ Ian, move over on that dance floor........:rickroll:

I gave the fogger a good clean yesterday, and today i thought to myself i must have a go at building it. so after watching a couple more you tube vids one being this one, which shows a good way of filling it...Fogger V2 - Review - YouTube i went ahead and made my first ever micro coil, 10 wraps of .27 around a 1.5 mil drillbit comes in at 1.7 ohm`s.

After a lot of cursing and sweat lol, i managed to intall the coil, thread some cotton through, a couple of drops of juice, fired it up (wonderfull). I then filled it up using the same method as the guy in the vid, let it sit for 5 minutes and wham bam thankyou mam.

A really nice flavoursome vape, no leaks flooding gurgling dry hits etc perfect. for anyone else who hasn`t built one of these yet, i took off the o-ring insulater the one under the mesh coil. (not needed) if you are not using mesh.

I think the biggest, not so secret, secret, is to get a decent micro-coil made up for it Burnie. The tiny one I made was about 1mm in diameter (probably about 15 wraps - it was that small I couldn't count them ;)). Put your cotton through and fluff out the ends. Cut the wick ends off so that they are sticking out about 10mm. Then fluff up the ends and feed them back into the wick slots, so you are really filling the slot with wick. Then add a bit more cotton around the inside of the wick slots to help soak up any excess juice. Some people add a falvour wick (like in the evod), but I left my coil uncovered. No need for the fiddly silicone o-ring over the wick. Tighten the chimney down til it just starts to compress the wick and away you go. Fill her up with the airflow fully closed. Take a few primer puffs to make sure that juice gets into the wicks, open the airflow, more primer puffs to make sure the airflow is right and away you go. Normally you don't need a lot of cotton in a build, but with the Fogger you do, to help stop flooding. Mine is still working great, a bit noisy, but I don't mind that.

I took the insulator out too mate and the o-ring that goes above the wick. I've got that much cotton in mine, it doesn't need the silly o-ring. It's an amazing vape isn't it mate ??

It has to be partly down to the micro-coil. Now I've done it this way, next time will be easier I know. I spent a load of time taking the deck apart, that was a fiddly bugger.

Yes ian it is one of the tastiest vapes i have had, I didn`t see the need to take the deck apart i thought i would just try it as is. It is a real bugger getting them coil legs arond the screws though isn`t it mate ? I have been meaning to try a micro for a while now, and i thought this would be my opportunity (new tank new set up) and i am glad i did.

Such a pretty looking thing when i did a test fire on her.:toast:

I just took the deck apart cos I'd seen posts about shorting and airflow problems with some Foggers. I had to add an extra o-ring to mine to stop the risk of shorting. Plus there's a solid silicone piece in the bottom of the deck with a notch in it for airflow. On mine there was no notch, so it would have been the old golf ball through a straw syndrome. I cut my own notch in the silicone, so it works fine now.

When the coil fires it's like a solid 10mm glow, I was showing the Wife how good it looks - she wasn't impressed though

A good tip for the micro mate - Wrap it on the bit, then get a pair of tweezers and squeeze the wraps together while it's still on the bit. Then torch the hell out of it. It closes up the gaps without any overlapping, plus it keeps the coil perfectly straight. But let it cool for at least 5 minutes, so you don't burn your fingers like I did  Doing it this way, the initial wrap doesn't need to be perfectly touching.

Forgot to mention mate. When mounting the coil, leave it on the bit, unscrew the post screws most of the way out. Then pull the leg towards the post and round it a little bit. Then take the coil and bit out and wrap the leg round another drillbit or toothpick. Pre-shaping the legs a bit, does make it a bit easier to mount the coil.

Thanks ian i will remember that,

So you are doing the rocket tomorrow ? that is another fiddly sod to coil, the screws are bloody miniscule, and next time i re-coil mine it will be another micro with cotton :) that way i won`t have to change the coil so often, just put a new cotton wick in.

I'm gonna keep the coil in the Rocket mate, it's already got a decent 2mm mini coil in it. I'll just stick some cotton in it, take out the airflow screw and change all the seals - hopefully that should do the trick. I've already swapped out the post screws in it too, but I know what you mean mate, their way too small.

I reckon my JJ juice should be steeped by now, I've had it a week now - what do you think ??

I'm looking forward to your review on the Taifun too mate :)
