It was pretty quick to be honest Terry. If I remember correctly about 10 days. In fact it landed in the UK the day after it landed on my doorstep :)

That`s good to know mate, i should have a couple of orders next week then. despatched on my birthday 6th march.

What are you expecting Terry, the Kayfuns ??

The only order I've got outstanding now is my Tru-stone driptips.

Looks like I need to order something else now

Yep 2 kayfuns, steel tank sections, the atom, and a new charger. once these arrive and i get my last order of 2 russians and nemmy tubes, I think i will just concentrate on finding GOOD juice suppliers. I have to say though-I am well chuffed with these from chefs vapour.

I just got a Kayfun Lite from fasttech. It wouldn't fire on my MVP2 but would on my VTR with the post in. I tried adjusting the 510 screw and it ended up loosening my coil posts instead. 510 screw does not move but you can watch the coil post come loose. Put in a ticket. Hopefully they send me a new base. I have a Rocket from FT and I love it. Was really looking forward to the Kayfun. Also waiting on a Rocket V2 and a Taifun GT.

I had the rocket, and enjoyed it while it lasted. I managed to squash the top cap trying to unscrew it:p And my taifun from f/t stopped working after a couple of months

The Yanks always say it is a retail item so UK Customs always charge VAT and if it comes through a courier they pay it for you, then charge you double, I got hit recently like that.

FastTech tend to lie about the cost and say it is a sample, I've got five different orders in the pipeline from them, I'm also waiting for something from the Canucks and hoping I won't get hit with VAT

I just didn't want to get stung like I did with my last order from the USA, the vat was a killer.

I always tend to get batteries and chargers from UK sources, saves having to get a UK adaptor. But thanks for the advise, like you say it's better to spend a few quid more and know you'll be safe :D

I tend to use my Kayfuns on mods that have an adjustable top pin, or a spring loaded top pin. They don't seem to work on mods that have a fixed top pin. FT should sort you out a new base for the Kayfun though, it shouldn't unscrew the coil post when you adjust the 510 connector - sounds like the 510 has become threaded in the base. Let us know how you get on.

Well the seat would smell lovely mate :) Speaking of the bike, i have secured it with a deposit and arranged for a neighbour with a trailer to pick it up from essex next tuesday.

Excellent news mate, you'll soon be out cruising Duki on your new beast :D
Bet you can't wait to get it Terry. Is it fully taxed and MOT'd all ready to ride mate ??

Yep that's the only problem I've found with some orders from the USA. It annoys me that RM charge you £18 for covering the import duties when it's only a couple of quid. Must admit though, all my FT orders have come through with no extras and at least 75% of my orders from the USA have managed to slip through customs without any extra charges :D

So on to today's order update.

My drip tips haven't arrived yet, soon I hope.

Just put 2 orders in with FT last night:

1). Is in packaging now, so might get posted out today -
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1505001
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1569002

The Aios should look great on my chi-you. I've not been using the chi much recently. So using this in hybrid mode, should mean the chi sees a bit more love  The glass tank for the Fogger is to replace the one I managed to break :(

2). Expected to ship in about 15 days -
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1559100
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1562800
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1644300

Decided to go for the sandblasted Kayfun 3.1 this time. Add to that the Kayfun parts kit, I only really want the driptip adaptor (but the spare metal tank will come in handy too). Plus I've ordered the 7 different coloured tank sections, so I can match the tanks to my clothes

Yes it is Ian, the only thing what is doing my head in right now is, whether to have it delivered via courier for £99, or go and pick it up which would cost a lot more than that.

If they can guarantee that the courier won't damage the bike in transit and it's fully covered by the insurance, I'd go for the delivery option. But then again, if the weather's hot and you fancy having a couple of days riding it back. It would make a great road trip.

Not much help I know

That's why I did the 2 orders mate. So at least I'll get something new to play with, while I wait for the Kayfun to ship out.

========================

Realised I can't do a marathon mixing session this weekend. Got myself ready today. But I've only got 4 spare bottles and about 30ml of nic solution left. So I've had to order some from LT :(

Another update.

order 1 from FT - Aios and Fogger tank have shipped already :D that's pretty quick !!

That is quick ian, I think when they have stuff in stock it`s never a problem. But when they don`t have it in stock or give you a scheduled date, then it goes to re-stocking, thats when the frustration kick in.

Anyway, i spoke to the bike dealer before and have decided to have it delivered. It is fully covered by his insurance until it is signed for by me. It just makes financial sense really.

I honestly don't mind the wait. It's the not knowing when it's gonna be posted that gets to me too. I'd rather them say, it will ship in 2 months, rather than the scheduled posting then re-stocking etc. I know that sometimes suppliers let them down, so it's not always their fault - but it's still a pain.

Bet you'll be sat on the doorstep waiting for the courier on delivery day. Be a bit hard to post through the letter box :p

==================

decided to dig out one of my old X9's today, popped in a 2.0 ohm evod coil and filled up with some AIV liquid. What a difference from a Kayfun - not in a good way :( Really muted flavour, but plenty of vapour. Even cranked up the wattage to 10 watts on the Vamo, just tasted burnt. I'll use the tank up, but I won't be going retro again

Seriously thinking about trying a dual coil in the aga tomorrow, just for a laugh, see what happens

yeah i don`t touch tanks like that these days Ian. I love these kayfuns though, so much so when all my orders are in i will have five in total. And in all honesty, that will be enough for me.
:offtopic: I really enjoyed my supper just then, black puddings with english mustard. Not had it for yonks, (lovely):D
