Seeing there was a battery in both orders, I couldn't use China post. They're coming by 'Singapore Post'.

I never buy batteries from FT, prefer to buy either direct from AW (very slow, via sea) or get them from reputable UK suppliers.

I agree Bob, a percentage would be a much fairer way of doing it. The last lot of Zeus juice I got actually had the VAT and duty sticker on it. They wanted to charge me something like £1.26 duty and the £8 for the delivery  Luckily, it slipped through and the postman just delivered it :D

Nice to get one over them sometimes...

Can't remember whether it was you Ian or Terry that mentioned the NCR18650PD batteries the other day, but got some in yesterday and 4 out of the 6 were PF, it seems these are replacing the PD ones.

Now that you've mentioned it, I tried my meter and I get 0.5 ohms with the probes together so I'm happy that the two are reading more or less the same :)

Despite my success with the KFL, I'm still not sure I'm ready to build and fit the 4 nano-coils that the IGO-W2 requires but I may give it a go over the weekend :)

Carl

As long as you're happy with the reading that's the main thing.

I'd say maybe try a dual coil first Carl and once you've mastered that work up to the 4 coil, as long as you're in a safe resistance range and have batteries that will cope with the load, everything should be fine. But to be honest, you might find anything more than a dual coil is a bit on the harsh side. When I do a dual nano coil in a Kayfun, it's getting to the upper limit of what I can handle (throat hit wise), I'm pretty sure a 4 coil would be way too much for me. But everyone is different :D

No, quite painless! :) I thought a lot of the prices were very good! Seems a very good service for free shipping with tracking!
I've never tried a twist battery before! ....more stuff to understand :( :D ...probably easy now I almost know what I'm doing with the brick with a chimney! ;)

Well, I found some Kanger coils for £1 each at a UK supplier, so was happy enough with getting 15 of those! If I should need any more Evod tanks, I'll get genuine ones here - got plenty for now though :)
The MVP shows the resistance - I tried one of those £2 Evods on it when it arrived and it tasted awful. The resistance showed at 2.7. Into the bin it went!

Wonder what they're doing dragging all the food around in those trolleys ...they could get it delivered!

The prices are superb. As I said, a lot of UK retailers buy direct from FT then sell the stuff on at a massive mark up. I first found out about FT by accident. When I first started vaping, I used to buy from a local vape shop, went in one day and spotted a box with an FT label on it, the rest is history

You'll be fine with the twists, really easy to use.

I think the pensioners, buy all their shopping, but they use the bus as a social club. Comparing notes about their different illnesses and generally complaining about how bad the bus service is - even though they've got the bus ride for free :laugh:

I've bought most of my batts from FT to be honest Bob. Never bought any ego types though, don't really use them anymore. I only tend to go for the "branded" ones though - Panasonic, Sony etc. Always either high amp output or long mAh ratings. I do have some AW IMR's that I bought from cloud9 though, had to have those specific button tops for a couple of my mods.

I've had the PD batteries, didn't realise they were upgrading them to PF's, thanks for the heads up.

Why, will they not be any good? ...and what's AW?

As long as you've had a good luck at the reviews and ratings for the items you've ordered, you should be ok Trisha. If you want to post links to the items, I'll have a look if you want. But if any don't work FT are really good at replacing faulty stuff, so there's no need to worry :D

AW is a type of battery recommended for certain mechanical mods. AW IMR batteries are a safer chemistry battery, so their recommended for the type of mods that we use. Battery terms can be pretty confusing, so it's always best to do some research to make sure the batteries are suitable for what you'll be using them in.

No1 rule for goods in: remove all labels on arrival! :D - amazing how many customers used the stores side doors instead of coming in the front door to the offices! (been self employed for 24 years, but I was a buyer for industrial equipment before that).
Still, I've never been 'blind' to any useful labels I've seen anywhere! ;)
The twist battery was a very good price and a different colour to any I have so will be easier to know what I'm picking up! :)

The club on wheels! Suppose it makes some sort of sense!
My husband is retired but never got a bus pass so far. He meets a lady on his morning walks with the dog and finds her hard work sometimes: Sadly, she has lots of ailments and talks about them! He doesn't know her name but refers to her as 'The Pharmacy'. He and I have a philosophy: no pills unless life is in danger!
I still work so don't think of myself as any 'age' really! ...and painters just tend to drop off their perch (if they're lucky!) :D

Understood re AW battery - I'd thought AW was a brand! :)

Quick post from me as my back is still killing me and i cant sit for too long without it aching.

I've been trying the mint choc vapeto from CV - nice, but i get more of a wafer flavour than mint choc although i can taste it in the background. It really doesnt seem to like getting too hot though and i get very little TH so probably wont order again.

Not recoiled the KFL yet Ian, re-wicked it a couple of times, although it started leaking like hell earlier today so i need to get that sorted out pronto.

I had my first try with the ikenvape cartos that i ordered from the US this afternoon - i put some SD&C in so i could compare it against others and the KFL and i have to say the taste is superb. I realise not everyone gets on with cartos, but for me the taste is as good as that from the KFL and the sophia. The best life i have had from a smok carto was about 40ml so if i get anything like that from the ikenvapes i will be more than happy.

I also tried the ABC from CV - it's ok, but nothing more. Nowhere near as nice as CLS or GVC and to be fair i wasnt expecting it to be so i wont be re-ordering that one. I also tried the Nicquid Smooththol from my latest zamplebox - there is a very subtle sweetness to it, not sure what they mean when they describe it as a sweet creamy menthol though... its not in the least creamy, it's just a menthol really, and the sweetness just makes it taste a bit like cough syrup. Needless to say, it's not a favourite of mine!

Trish - i know what you mean with the MVP2, the fire button isnt in the best place really, would be better on the side and i think a lot of people have said the same. Weight-wise i dont find it too bad, especially if you compare it to the provari with the KFL on top, i bet thats somewhere between 50 and 100% heavier than the MVP.

Hope the tablets arent knocking you out too badly ian - i know they can make you slur your speech / fuzzy vision if you arent used to them, but would have thought that you would be ok with them by now. I have a very high tolerance for pretty much any kind of tablet, you dont want to know how many of them i have had in one go when my back pain was at its worst! In the last couple of years there have been occassions where, through sheer agony i have had several times more than the prescribed amount. I am a big ol' lump though ;)

I've had a look at the links, to be honest there aren't many reviews for them. The only thing I've noticed with the green ego-C twist, is people talking about threading issues. But as long as you're careful when fitting your tanks you should be ok. Don't overtighten them and the batteries should last a while. I think a lot of people tend to go too tight when fitting a tank, it just needs to be snug - the connectors in the battery are only small, so they don't need to be fastened on with too much pressure. The mini protanks in the full kit seem to get pretty good reviews from what I've seen, so you should be fine with that item too. As I said though, FT are pretty good on returns anyway.

So the juices aren't anything to shout about, but the cartos are going great then :D It's a shame when juices don't live up to the hype, but it does help to narrow down your choices in the future.

Is the Kayfun leaking from the fill hole Cody, the airhole or through the tip ?? If it's the fill hole, just replace the PTFE tape with a new bit, you only need a piece about 1cm long. If it's the airhole and it happens after filling, it's usually cos it's a bit too full and there's too much pressure in the tank. Just turn it completely upside down, blow through the driptip and catch the juice that comes out through the airhole with a tissue, that should clear it up. If it's flooding into the driptip, check that the chimney isn't loose and it's letting juice into the chimney section. If it's none of these, it could be that the coil has dropped too close to the deck, so juice is dripping straight into the internal airhole, just lift the coil a little, it needs to be 2-5mm off the deck.

Let us know what happens mate :)

After a couple of days I was fine with the pills, thanks for asking mate. Took a few days for them to work properly, but the last couple of nights, I've managed to get over 6 hours kip. I don't get the "oh my God, my leg is on fire" feeling now, just more of an annoying tingle. I'd say it's improved things a hell of a lot. Don't feel half asleep all day now :D Still got to get my blood test results back yet, get my referral through from a back specialist and have an MRI, but those things are in the pipeline. So things are progressing well really :D

Well Heck, I spent more money :D (that's $150 in 2 days)
Ordered a Sophia and Dbase Tank and accessories off the classies, think I got a good deal at $90. Could be another waste of money, but Cody talks highly of the Sophia, so I had to try it (been wanting to anyway). :)

Well I hope I like it as good as Carto's, because it is rebuildable, need to be able to rebuild, too much going on with regs, need to be able to make my own, but I LIKE Carto's, so I have high hopes.

Little tipsy ATM, on vacation for a few days, leaving tomorrow for the beach and a little fishing, might post a few pictures if I can figure out tapatalk. :D

Yep there's a lot of things going on with the FDA at the moment.

Nothing wrong with having a few beers on holiday. I used to be a keen fisherman myself, but not had chance these last few years. Pics would be great though mate :D

Quick post from me as my back is still killing me and i cant sit for too long without it aching.
Back pain is awful! Son had a disc trapped and it had to be removed eventually (rear shunt caused it), and I was surprised by the drugs he got prescribed - even Diazepam and Prozac to relax the muscles! and husband had a trapped nerve at the base of his spine early last year: I sent him to a chiropractor as he couldn't walk, sit, stand, lie down ...in agony. She had him x-rayed and diagnosed in an hour and after two sessions he was able to at least lie down and sit for a while. Coedine, Paracetamol, Paramol, alternated every two hours and Doxylamine to relax muscles at night for a week and he was starting to get better. Another few weeks treatment and he was ok. He goes for a top-up treatment every 6 months now.
Dreadful amount of drugs needed for back troubles!

I've been trying the mint choc vapeto from CV - nice, but i get more of a wafer flavour than mint choc although i can taste it in the background. It really doesnt seem to like getting too hot though and i get very little TH so probably wont order again.
Sorry you haven't enjoyed that - It's my current favourite! I get nice dark chocolate with a touch of coolness and the waffle cone. My first bottle was only 10 days old when I finished it
I did order another 10ml bottle before it was finished, so I'll get a 30ml bottle next. Who knows, I may get more of the mint if I let it steep a bit longer!
I use mine in an Evod tank/1000 battery.

I also tried the ABC from CV - it's ok, but nothing more. Nowhere near as nice as CLS or GVC and to be fair i wasnt expecting it to be so i wont be re-ordering that one.
I have some too - not had it long so it may get better than it is, but I'm not overly impressed either. I know what the elusive GVC is, but what's CLS?
I tried the Honey Lemon Menthol - it's really quite nice. I'm not sure about the honey, but that may be because I think I'd prefer just the lemon and menthol, because I used the tank up without any personal persuasion ;)
I won't get any more Fluffy Nut - I find it too mildly flavoured, yet it leaves a funny smell lingering ...bit like a sweet candle that has just been extinguished! It makes my husband sneeze and he's not even in the same room. I added a few drops of raspberry flavour to it but it didn't make enough of an improvement to want to buy more.

I know it'll more than likely make me get short of breath, so can only use a little, but I got some Jelly Babies ...smells rather good! I also got Rhubarb Pastilles ...smells promising. Plus Gingerbread Latte! At 50/50 PG/VG I'll never be able to use any of them for long, but couldn't resist trying them!

Trish - i know what you mean with the MVP2, the fire button isnt in the best place really, would be better on the side and i think a lot of people have said the same. Yes, the button could be far better placed than it is! I certainly wouldn't want anything this shape to be any heavier! I'm using a glass Evod with it at the moment and it's pretty good.

but Cody talks highly of the Sophia, so I had to try it (been wanting to anyway). :)
We have an adorable big dog called Sophia, so it just has to be good! ;)

I think you're right about him getting on a bus - he even complains about 'old fogeys gossiping or wandering aimlessly around staring at the shelves' when he comes back from the supermarket!
Thinking back though, I had a friend/neighbour with a limited conversation repertoire like that when we were only in our 20's!

I'll be careful with the Twist threads! I only tend to check tank tightness if there's lack of performance.
I already have a mini Protank 2 and it's good so far! It's the tank & battery kit from MyePack.

Question: what can I add to plain lime flavour liquid that will make it creamy? I really like the CV Twisted but the pineapple and strawberry affect my breathing.
I do have some creamy type TPA flavours: Dulce de Leche, Whipped Cream, Sweet Cream, Vanilla Swirl, Bavarian Cream & French Vanilla.
I've never used them really apart from a bit of vanilla in something a while ago, so don't know if any of those would work for a lime cream?

Years back, There was a coffee bar that served a fairly powerful lime juice with an ice cream float in it - I loved it!

Why, will they not be any good? ...and what's AW?

AW stands for Andrew Wan, he buys the top 1% from the major players like Panasonic, Sony etc., tests them thoroughly, then re-wraps them before selling them on, they are more expensive than normal batteries, but they are the best batteries out there, unfortunately they are also hard to come by, as there are only 4 distributors in the UK C9V being one of them, most other chinese suppliers are dubious. Thought just occurred to me, are we talking about the same type of batteries, 18350 etc, if not then ignore my comments about batteries.

Problem is getting them from FT you are probably getting the bottom 30%, which is what I probably ended up with the PD/PF ones I've just got, every one of them had hardly any charge in them, now got to spend all day charging them up, so I can use them, the Efests and AWs that i normally buy are always at least 4v when I first get them.

I think I was at cross purposes with Trish, only just realised she was talking about eGo type and not proper batteries, I've bought the x6 kit from FT which is similar to the Lavatube and it's pretty good, the only other eGo I have an 1100mAh I bought here in the UK.

Keep Hubby away from the bus then  He'd hate it. To be honest, I don't mind the chatter I just switch off and concentrate on squeezing my way past parked cars. The only thing that does get to me, is when they moan about the bus service. After all, it should be there as soon as they walk outside their front door and drop them off exactly where they want to be dropped off (usually between 2 bus stops :(). Sounds like I'm moaning too much myself now

I've got dulce de leche, but not used it yet - bought it to mix up a GVC type juice - so can't comment on that one. I do have Bavarian cream, I use that (in small amounts) in a lot of my mixes, so that could be one to try. I've used Vanilla swirl in the past too, but you have to be careful with it or it will overpower the juice. Just start off small, add a couple of drops to the tank, give it a swirl and see what you think. It's easy to add more drops if needed, just do it gradually :D

I've had about 5 lots if batts from FT so far, never had any problems Bob, apart from the shipping times :D So far the only batts that have given up on me have been from UK suppliers. For me it's the protected batts that tend to die, last one that went, I just took out the protection circuit, removed the extra wrap and metal ribbon and cleaned up any excess solder on the points - I'm using it now as an unprotected batt. It's been through over 10 charge cycles with no issues at all. I'm always careful with batts anyway, never over stress them - very rare that I sub ohm. Plus I watch them like a hawk when charging. I know a lot of people don't rate the trustfire batts much either, but the ones I've used have always been excellent :)

No1 rule for goods in: remove all labels on arrival! :D - amazing how many customers used the stores side doors instead of coming in the front door to the offices! (been self employed for 24 years, but I was a buyer for industrial equipment before that).
Still, I've never been 'blind' to any useful labels I've seen anywhere! ;)

Yes it's amazing what you can pick up from labels left lying around, it's given me some ideas in the past.

Useful to have even if you hardly use it, because it can be used in any town/city in the UK

Understood re AW battery - I'd thought AW was a brand! :)

It is a brand (initials of his name see my other message)

Yuck, green, not my favourite colour :D , but I do like the blue :) , don't think the first one was a good choice, only 320mAh, will need charging a lot depending on use, but the other 2 look pretty good.

I've only recently started using cartos, like the Smok UDCT v2 lockable tanks using LR flanged cartos, stops the tank being accidently removed, only problem with them is they won't work on the Provari or eVic (pin too far down).

I'm also off for a week in Latvia with a Rail workers Association, flying out to Brussels on Friday, meet up with my mates, then off to Riga on Saturday, we've also got a day in Estonia planned, should be a good week with plenty of Beer.

I'll save any photos for when I get back, I tend to only use my phone for emergencies whilst on holiday, so I will be quiet in here from Friday until the beginning of next month.

The MCV is very nice, I can taste the Choc and Mint but not so much the Waffle cone, just shows how our tastes vary, tried the Strawberry one last night at the Meet and like that one as well, the Honey, Lemon & Menthol, I thought was diabolical, only good if you have a cold, just like the stuff Mum used to give me when I was a kid, kill or cure :) CLS is Nicoticket's Custard's Last Stand (from Spiritus Vapes in the UK), unfortunately it is only 50/50, ABC is on my list to try as well so will let you know what I think of it, also tried Steam Gunk's Lemon Meringue Pie last night, ok but not one that I will get again, to much lemon and not much else, think I'll stick to the edible variety...which i love
