Giving them all a go on a dripper this morning. I started at 10% with the black mamba because I couldn't find 'reliable' info on the strength to go for. Found people ranging from 10-20% generally but nothing in depth or manufacturer details so went for 10%. It's maybe a bit weak but you can tell it tastes good, maybe enough for some but i'll probably go up to 12-15%.

They say: "Like the snake, this martini inspired e-liquid has some serious bite ! A fierce blend of multiple flavors headlined by blackberry and a smooth cranberry flavor with a splash of citrus"

I'm definitely getting blackberry and cranberry mostly (and in that order) with a little tartness. It's not a super sweet fruit flavour but it's not too tart. I've been looking for realistic fruit flavours as too many are 'candy' like and this seems like it'll fit the bill. Bear in mind I think it's a bit weak so it might be tarter (is that a word?) at proper strength.
I think 'more tart' perhaps? Anyway, perhaps it'll develop more, or as you say, may need a little more flavour.

The chefs vapour concentrates are as good as I'd expect. Leaving Lew's brew to steep more as it's not fruity but jungle juice is delicious, kind of reminds me of um ....o (remember that?).
For some reason, I haven't been using my bottle of Jungle juice. I'm sensitive to some fruit flavours though, so that's probably why.

Mom and Pops I started at 15% as they recommended 10-20% and I reckon that is easily strong enough for me. They both need some more time I think but taste very nice even now. Krunchberry surprised me a little in that the flavours come the opposite way round to what I was expecting (let me explain that!), in that you get strong sweet berry on the exhale and then the milky biscuity taste follows to smooth it out. Apple pie is great, more cinnamon flavoured than I expected but I think that the apple/pastry gets stronger with time as I tried this one straight after mixing and the cinnamon was like a kick to the throat. I'm happy to find today it's much smoother so will let this one steep some more.
The Krunchberry sounds rather good! As for the Apple Pie, I like a hint of cinnamon, but too much not only makes me wheeze, it gets a bit overpowering. I tried mixing some NT Band Camp with the Grandmas Cinnamon Danish yesterday and got mega wheezy ..obviously, the apple and cinnamon both affected me - sadly, because it was nice!

Would recommend any of these so far. Chefs vapour stock so many 'complex' flavour concentrates (as opposed to single flavour e.g. Lime) it'll definitely become my go to for this stuff.

On that note, has anyone tried anything from T-Juice? Was going to order their Red Astaire concentrate but it was out of stock at the time (came back in about 2 days later  )
CV definitely have a very impressive range of flavourings. Red Astaire sounded good to me apart from the Eucalyptus and perhaps the Aniseed ..depending on how strong both are.

My Mum had a fair bit of trouble after having her teeth out, and after some time it was discovered that a tiny bit of tooth was still embedded in her gum. Once out, she was fine.

I will try to get in for an appointment next week trish, maybe another x-ray will show what the problem is ! The doctor at A&E yesterday stated it was not infected, but the roof of my mouth around the said tooth is really burning ? Will have to wait i suppose and see what the dentist says.

I will say one thing though, the doctor i saw yesterday had a lot more time for me than my GP seemed to have, with him it was,, it looks swollen, here is a prescription for some anti-biotics goodbye.

Trish, am i correct in thinking that i can take co-codamol 4 times a day, along side ibuprofen 4 times a day. What i mean is i had 2 co-codamol, at 12.30...is it okay to have 2 ibuprofen at 14.30, then continue doing that ? It would mean 8 tablets of each throughout the day.

That sounds ok to me. The overall effect should be better if they are offset like that I would think, although they are different types of drug. Ibuprofen is better taken with something in your stomach (not empty).

It certainly sounds as though there's something causing inflammation and pain. Do get that appointment as soon as you can in case it does become infected by whatever is causing it.
Sadly, doctors are very hit and miss these days - our own is literally useless. The one we intended to switch to got so inundated with new patients because of the other poor experiences elsewhere in the practice, she's moved away to another practice! If it weren't for the excellent nurse practitioner there, we'd be looking around to move away too.

As for the medication, yes, if you alternate between the two every two hours until you build up a good level of relief, you could then try leaving a little longer between doses to see if it still works well, if not go back to two hourly alternation.
One excellent over the counter painkiller we found when my husband had the trapped nerve in his spine was Paramol. It's a combination of paracetamol and codeine, and works very well. Then he took Ibuprofen (two Anadin Ultra capsules) every two hours in-between doses.
I do recall there's something you can't take though ...was it paracetamol or aspirin?

If you have any iced lollies or even ice cream, try holding a little in your mouth until melted where it's sore - it'll help cool it and reduce any potential swelling.

I just read this from the CV Rebranded Range - could be an alternative to the Astaire? : Raspberry Mist

Thankyou trish, there is some really good advice there and i appreciate it a lot.:) There is nothing i can`t take trisha, i think you may be refering to what something bob said regarding asprin.

I will get some paramol next week ( if needed ) And as for putting something cold on the affected area, the tooth is just to sensitive, but i will try an ice pack later on, held to the side of my face.:)

You're welcome - just hope you get some level of comfort soon.

If you should find you get any negative reaction to taking the two alternately, try reducing the painkiller part by half. Getting the inflammation & any swelling down is most important, so the ibuprofen will do that once built up to a good level. If that gets under some control, you may need less painkiller anyway.

Yes thanks again trish you have been a great help, and given the best advice yet. Even the doctors i have seen haven`t given this level of information ( you should have been a nurse ) :)

I think i do have the pain under control now, seems to get better as the day moves on, And worst when i first wake up.

How d'ya know I wasn't at some time!? ....ha-ha! - seriously, I was a member of St Johns Ambulance for some years before I was married, did voluntary ward duties for a time, and later worked in psycho-geriatric and theatre! All very rewarding, interesting, and enough for me to know I didn't want to work within the NHS ..and that was the mid 70's!
I really did want to be a nurse at one time - even looked at the QA Nursing Corps, and then thought I perhaps could go to medical school and be a doctor. Working within the NHS to get a feel for it soon decided me against! Too many politics, too many chiefs, not enough high quality 'shop floor' patient care.

I've always taken a keen interest in medicine, remedies and the various advances made. I lost my trust in the medical profession 40 years ago, and have tried to look out for all the family ever since.
As such, I read up on all drugs prescribed, treatments offered, alternatives, and where possible, the professional involved.
I became the type that will question a doctor about diagnosis and treatment until I'm as satisfied as I can be with the answers. I trust our vet more than the doctors, and that's a fact! They've become a band of form fillers and pill pushers. If we don't fall into a category from filling the forms in, they haven't a clue!

Good, hope it's at least bearable until you get an appointment.
Most things are worse first thing in the morning, and often last thing at night as our body becomes tired and natural defences start 'resting' to regenerate for a new day.

Ice packs are wonderful for many incidents of painful conditions if you can get close enough to the pain source. Only use it for 10 minutes in an hour because you can cause some damage otherwise to skin and nerve endings.

I did have a feeling that you may have had some training at some point trish, and you have now confirmed my suspicions  And again, you are correct regarding todays medical professions. They seem more like cloak and dagger organizations these days, and as you say cannot be 100% trusted. There certainly has been a massive change since the old days, I was born in 61 trish, at home by a midwife, the cord was around my neck and i very nearly didn`t make it. My mum always told me that if it hadn`t been for the irish midwife, who cut her hand to bits while trying to cut the cord, i wouldn`t be here today.

I feel sorry for the young girls of today, who i am sure would not get that sort of commitment. As it was an irish midwife who saved my life, she suggested a nice irish name for me, Terence ! :)

Yes, much has changed since that time - some things for the better, too many for the worse.
For me the 'old days' when I was born was 1949. I was set aside as being blue and unlikely to survive the night. That midwife went home, and my Grandmother took me into her bed to warm me, and unless I'm here in spirit only, I survived :)

Some people manage commitment to their chosen career, bust sadly, many don't due to bureaucracy and bean counters!

And unfortunately, they have the big worry regarding compensation claims these days. :(

:toast: It certainly was a good year ronnie

As for drippers mate, i have got the trident, which is a bit of a beast when set up right. I can let you have a V5 dripper ron which i don`t use since i got the trident. I have drilled out the airhole to 1.5 mm, and if i remember correctly all it need is rubber seal on the base and i think i have got some of them. If you want it ron just let me know and i will post it to you.:)

My favourite is the magma clone from fasttech. A bit different from a standard 3 post flat deck like the trident mentioned above but better in my opinion.

Looking at some of the horror stories that have come out in the past couple of years, I'm not so sure about the litigation angle. They've always been very good at keeping people quiet and sticking together by singing from the same song sheet.

That could change now though - once people are brave enough to speak out, more will emerge and they'll have to start taking more care of people. That's what they lost sight of ..it's people they're responsible for, not pot plants!

Anyway, 'ows yer gob ?
