You have to ignore what the istick is saying if the figures are in purple, so 2.0 ohm @ 5.5w is what you will get when the battery actually gets down to 4.0v (not showing 4.0v) so anything in the purple will only operate at the wattage shown on the left when the battery drops to that level (1/3 down would be about 3.9v 1/2 would be about 3.7v)

If you set the istick to any wattage within the blue then the istick is regulated and will out put those wattages so yes 2.2ohm anywhere between 8 and 13w it will give those actual wattages, but if you set it to 6w then it would still output 8w until it got down to 3.9v then you would get 7w and when it got down to 3.6v you would get your 6w.
So really, if I need to keep it set at around 5.5 - 6.5/7W, it's irrelevant what all the rest is. It wouldn't work well if I set it much lower, so I'll just carry on as I am! :)
This sort of explains why I've started using the Lemon CCC on an iPow battery set at 6.5W! ...I was getting some slightly burnt tasting flavours on the iStick with it but it's perfect on the iPow!

Bit late for me to try thinking about anything more complex, and I doubt it would make much difference anyway as I like to keep them at those wattages.

I`ve got headache now  night night you two.
Nite Terry :)

But I thought you wanted to up your wattage, if that's the case then you need to do about 1.8 to get between 10 and 16w or 1.5 if you want to go between 12 and 20w

Yep, i was talking generally about my mechs bob, thats why i asked george what mod he will be using. I know i gotta do some experimenting with the regulated yet. In fact since MBV sent me the freebie @ 6 mg i think i will build a nice dual in my trident later @ around 1 Ohm and see how that is.:) Night mate.

EDIT: Going on your initial figures of 5.5w, 3.4v is the voltage you are drawing and you are actually using 7w not 5.5w which you would not get until the battery level had dropped by about 2/3
Ah! Now that makes sense because I've been going by what I can taste and how it feels to use, and the 5.5W seems right for the doughnut according to how it tasted before I used the iStick! I guessed that 5.5 tasted around the same as 7W on the MVP!

Thanks for that! ...for me it's like playing an instrument without the sheet music in front of me ...you play by ear until it's right!

Nite Bob :)

If you go back to the chart, you can right click it and download it, it's only a jpg picture you can keep it handy on your computer

This is why I decided against getting an iStick

It definitely has a few downsides, especially for those that vape at low wattages, but for people like myself who can vape at 10w and above they are pretty good and definitely pocket friendly especially for a day out with a decent battery. Hopefully the downsides will be fixed in v2.

Thanks Bob - I did get a 'snip' of the chart but the downloaded one will be clearer.

It's not a problem for me - how it tastes and works tends to tell me if I have it set right.
The doughnut is good for me at 5.5, and another one is best at around 6.5 - some of the coils will vary though, so if it tastes different, I alter the setting a little.

Talking of pocket friendly - I've just got the Red Hana 30 fixed battery one:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007864/1729202-h-ana-modz-pack-dna-30-style-mod

I've used the iPow usb charging cable with a mains usb plug because the iPow is a 1600mah too.
There's a little red light next to the little usb slot on the Hana but nothing showing on the screen ....is there some way of turning it on to show the screen? I tried pressing the button three times rapidly, then tried it 5 times, but nothing showing on that led screen.
I can't see any instructions regarding that on the FT page.

Trish, if the battery is totally flat it probably won`t fire up till you have some charge in it. so just leave it for a while and go back to it, i`m sure it will be fine then. :)

Thanks Terry. It's said to operate as a pass-through when charging but it's dead as a do-do.
I tried pressing that button again fast 5 times, still nothing.

@ Trish, there will probs be a you tube review
In the details it says 2600 mah but in the specs it says 1200 mah
some of the discussions are not flattering
Irrespective of what batteries it has in it, I'd expect something to show on the screen. I have seen where some people find they have the more powerful batteries.
As for Youtube ...they blether on endlessly. I just tried looking at two and they start using it already with the screen lit up & operating. As I've found before, Youtube reviews are very boring.
All I want to know is why it's not showing anything at all. There doesn't seem to be a step by step information page on any site stating how to start with them.

I cant find anything written by way of operating instructions

is the red light still on ?

I'd be tempted to give it another couple of hours on charge

feeling the wall adapter, wire and device for signs of warmth

or maybe the light will go out, the bits I have found on forums

say that the unit came partially charged

There is a discussion in apv discussion - variable voltage apv discussion - issues with hana modz (cana mods) clone dna 30

I had a strange experiece earlier ! As one of my coil trials for when my orchids arrive, i did a dual coil set up aiming for 1.6 ohms in my trident. 14 wraps of 30 gauge each coil.

Put it on a mech with a fully charged battery, and it was taking ages to heat up. but was firing. so i put it on my i-stick and it read no atomizer ? Thought i would see what the meter said, and it read 1.4. Good enough, back on the i-stick, and it was still reading no Attie ? Hmm.

Time to get the big gun out ! so on to the ipv it goes, swtched on and it read 1.4  What the bloody hell is going on  Anyway, i set the watts to 20 and it lit up like a xmas tree

Back on to the i-stick, reading 1.4, and firing just fine. I am sat here still scratching me melon.:laugh:

Yes, the light is still on with both the Hana and the mains wall charger ...but I think the mains charger light is always on as a reminder to unplug it.
The Hana is tepid warm nothing more, the plug not much warmer.
If it is totally depleted, it's the first time I've had anything arrive with no charge in it but would have expected a bit of life by now.

No cable with it Terry. The one I'm using is a new one that's used with/comes with the Kanger iPow. I do have the MVP ones or the iStick, but doubt they'd make any difference.

I've had that happen a number of times if I've been charging one and try to put the tank back on it, or if I try changing to another tank ....it's almost always a case of a tissue clean in the contact area and the base of the tank and it works. Once or twice, it's been OK if I use a new coil.
Seems the iStick doesn't like even a tiny bit of liquid residue on that contact.

Words mean nowt without pictures mate.

Lost my bloody camera lead again  Sure the Missus has hidden it somewhere :(

Theresa dear, Theresa !

The all important H, how could I miss that mate

No I think you've got to get off the bus - otherwise we might be wondering what's happened to you, just like we are wondering what's happened to Ron, still no news on that front, nothing from Tom either.

Very strange Bob, still no sign of him

I contacted them and asked what the min order on juice was for free post.Reply...£100.
Be real most other companies do it on £25/30.

I'd expect hand delivery for that price George

But I thought the chart showed what you'd actually be getting according to what the display is showing.

Yes! ....this chart thing is irritating me - best if I forget about it and just carry on!

As long as it's working for you Trisha, that's all that matters :)
