Tried the Highbrow Tiramisu late last night and again today - Very good!
Their website description has: espresso coffee, dark chocolate, mascarpone
First thing I get is a very good espresso coffee flavour followed by the addition of dark plain chocolate with a hint of cream. A sort of mocha.
Perhaps not an all day one, but I do keep going back to it! :)
I'll definitely get more of this one as well as the Dark Chocolate I tried yesterday. (That chocolate will also be nice with a good strawberry!)

That's two out of three so far (Limoncello is nice, but not a sharp/strong enough lemon for me)

Next will be the Caramel Cake followed by Cheesecake Torte, and another stab at the Cappuccino Diablo (wasn't brilliant in a mPT2, but think it'll be better in a MOW).
I got the Cheesecake Torte to add fruit or chocolate flavours to, and the initial drop taste was very creamy and nice.

Aw! I didn't get any of my expected ones today either! Hopefully tomorrow ..and before I have to go out!

Have you tried the SDC with something else ..another tank or battery? I haven't used SDC for a good while now, but as you know, all mine is used in standard tanks with ready made coils at a much lower wattage. Put a drop on the back of your hand and taste it - does it still taste awful?

You reckon it would go with Spottedick?

What exactly is this rattlesnake effect?

I did just try a drop, and it tastes okay ! i will try dripping with it later, and see if there is a difference :)

Found this RE: The rattlesnake effect Default The Rattlesnake Effect- Why the Cheapo VV [Exception Itaste MVP] Don't Vape the Same as a Provari or DNA20D
If you check out any of the PBusardo videos and fast forward to the section where he tests the voltage output. All of the low end vv devices, the Vamo, the SVD, Zmax etc are using PWM or Pulse Width Modulation without filters.PBusardo says that you can tell because when you vape on these devices on certain atomizers they sound like a rattlesnake.

The Provari, The Itaste MVP, the DNA20D Mods all have filters or are using different technology and they are outputting a straight voltage amount.

You may ask what is the difference. Well the PWM has a fluctuation in voltage that is very large and very quick, some say that you can't detect it. Some even like it better. Some say it make the atty sound like a rattlesnake and is harsher.

For example on a Vamo if you set the voltage to 4V the voltage will fluctuate between around 7v and 3v the duty cycle will be short and the ending mean is the 4v that you've set.

A Picture is worth a thousand words, I captured the top two pictures from PBusardos You Tube Review of the Vamo and the bottom from his Youtube Video of the MVP.

Most mods put out the power in a flat-line sort of way so that the power is continuous at the level wanted say 10w.

Some like the iStick have a rattlesnake (sidewinder) effect where the power jumps up and down from zero, so quick that a lot of people do not notice it, but some can

Not a very good diagram but shows what I mean:

Looks like you can't paste captured pics here, you have to do the capture then create a bitmap using file|new|Bitmap image in file explorer then edit it and paste the captured image into that and then save it as a jpg image then upload it using the Insert Image thingy in the reply box

I was busy doing my little example while you were doing all this :)

To me, there's no reason for a flavour in max VG to taste awful unless it is an awful flavour, and you know SDC isn't awful - so unless that's an 'off' bottle, which you've found it isn't, it must be another reason.

Well, all I can say is it's nothing I've ever noticed. I do get that little 'crackle' on a new coil from the stronger batteries (liquid on a clean hot surface?), but that's all.

Thanks, i will try 10 ml i reckon. :)
I think you'll like it seeing it's a tropical mix with nothing sharp in it like pineapple, and nothing 'bleh' like banana!
Could be one you'd like to put some of your Sweet Cream with now and then too.

Had an email from Colissimo: it's entered the postal system (according to a translation site ). Now I don't like to tempt fate, but I reckon it won't take as long as the current FT post!
Looking forward to trying those, and wouldn't be surprised to be buying from Cloudhouse again.

Had a tuna salad with some nice cheese flatbread and strawberries & cream tonight - first thing I picked up afterwards was the Tiramisu ...lovely still, and then went over to the Doughnut - amazing flavour on the back of the Tiramisu aftertaste ..just like I'd had a slurp of coffee and a bite from a rich custard doughnut! Lovely :)

Love it mate  When i got my orchids i thought i would do a bit of juice experimentation  so my last order from chefs i got some 6 mg vg heavy SD&C. I am vaping it right now @ 15 watts on an i stick. VG heavy, great for the clouds, but crap flavourwise IMO. I`m glad i only got a couple of 10 ml bottles, they will soon be gone with this set up.

Stick with what you know works mate, that's the best bet. PG in the mix does supposedly carry the flavour. Leave the juice experimentation to me mate :p:laugh:

Night mate, Hope you get your hands on Hana tomorrow :p

More chance of the Pope becoming an Atheist, than me getting my hands on Hana

If your Orchid comes tomorrow it'll be a draw, unless you're talking about the race with Terry and the iStick

That'll keep her busy :laugh I quite like some nano versions, I have the eXpromiser nanoed and now with the bell cap one of my KFL+ v2s, the Lemo is quite a big tank in normal mode so might look better in the Nano version, the problem is the price as there is not a lot of difference between the 2.

No Orchids or iSticks today unfortunately Bob (or Hanas either) :(

I let the Wife out from behind the door when I got home

Guess I'm just not a fan of smaller juice capacity, that's my main gripe with a Nano kit. I'm lazy, I want to fill her up as little as possible

Aw, that's OK ...coal fires are cool  View attachment 394902

By the way, just tried the Highbrow Dark Chocolate - very nice! I'd definitely re-order that in a bigger size. It's a proper grown up dark chocolate taste. No doubt very versatile with many things too: vanilla, custard, cream, cake, even Doughnut! Really nice on it's own though.
May try the tiramisu tomorrow! :)

You can't beat burning a bit of fossil fuel

That does sound lovely Trisha, unfortunately it would be no use to me though, I'd have to be grown up first before I could vape it
Seriously though. It does sound lovely. Is there no bitterness to the taste, the way you normally get with some chocolate ??

You mean big bollox vinnie ?

Looks like I really started something last night

but apart from that it'll mainly be looking through the guide to find something decent to watch on the telly that hasn't been repeated 100 times.

Good luck with that Bob. Every year they seem to repeat the same shows over and over again "ad infinitum". Must admit though, I've not seen the Wizard of Oz listed for the last few years.

I've got no excuse, I'd read you guys reducing nic and pg at higher wattage

so yeh it's you and Ians' fault

Me reduce my nic, no chance mate - I'm a well 'ard Rochdale lad, I double my nic at higher wattage

Unfortunately we can`t blame Ian for that one vinne, everything else yes though

Why thank you Terry, I'm all emotional you stuck up for me

Is that similar to AC & DC currents? whatever, I do get it - sort of pulse rather than continuous.

Probably better with a good cream for that
Yes, couldn't imagine SDC with menthol shudder smilie.gif

I dont have an i stick, but I think it's a rapid fluctuation of power
Yes, I get that but wondered how it manifested ...think I know now and some people notice it, some don't ..including me. Only thing I've noticed is the odd mis-fire where nothing happens but is fine next time the button is pressed.

Stick with what you know works mate, that's the best bet. PG in the mix does supposedly carry the flavour. Leave the juice experimentation to me mate :p:laugh:
I know some like the clouds, but personally, I'd not be using just VG if I had a choice!

Not bitter to me - I'm no fan of British milk chocolate though: pasty and over sweet. It's more of a Belgian dark chocolate - not bitter, but not sugary. It's something easy to adjust for sweetness though? I just think it's a good tasting chocolate rather than a sickly candy type.

You may have seen that I tried the Tiramisu too - lovely and nice coffee forward taste!
I got the Highbrow ones in 100% VG base and asked for extra flavour appropriate for VG - they're fully customisable though and you can even add a dash of cream or vanilla or whatever to anything.

Good luck with that Bob. Every year they seem to repeat the same shows over and over again "ad infinitum". Must admit though, I've not seen the Wizard of Oz listed for the last few years.
Ssh! We'll probably get it now ..and The Sound of Music!
I saw that this year we're getting a bigger percentage of repeats than ever before!

I got vapemail :D

Was it the orchid ?? - nope.
Was it the iStick ?? - nope.
Was it the Hana ?? - nope.

It was a mountain of juice from the lovely Trisha :D
Thanks Trisha, I'll have some real fun sampling some of those juices :)
Ha-ha you're welcome! Sorry most are VG and the wrong strength, but I thought you could use them to tinker around with and produce something usable :)

Good analogy

I would like to see some of those 60s/70s stuff that hardly ever gets a look in.

I just opened a ticket with FT RE: the I-sticks which seem to be stuck in limbo, Maybe they can find out whats happened to them. Also i just ordered 30 ml of chefs doughnut, 10 ml fluffy nuts, and 10 ml of LMP, all 50/50 12 mg. I thought i would give the SD&C a miss this time and have a blast with some doughnut instead

Thanks ...not as dim as I thought I was with electrical stuff! :)

I would like to see some of those 60s/70s stuff that hardly ever gets a look in.
Old comedy usually bores me, but I'd love to see re-runs of Michael Harding's stand up TV shows! Dave Allen could always make me laugh too.
A few really good films that I haven't seen before, and perhaps a couple of series that weren't run this year for whatever reason ...I've always like Covert Affairs for it's simplicity, and a few others that Sky got their hands on.
(I don't have Sky in the room where I work and I'm certainly not paying more for the privilege) - Still, with luck there'll be some decent series coming back in the new year. ....last thing I want are more fly on the wall documentaries and so called celebrities making fools of themselves.

Be nice if they could throw some light on why they're taking so long! Can't be batteries to blame in both of mine as there's only an iStick in one.
Hope my Doughnut gets here tomorrow - and before I have to go out mid-afternoon! Wish I'd thought to tell the postman to put anything that won't go in the post box through the side gate!
Last thing I want is parcels left with neighbours: one we can't stand and keep well away, and the other three we stopped taking things in for them because they were just taking advantage in a big way and then disrupted the house in the evening asking for them! ..one waited for us to take them to her!!! Made us feel like a parcel depot!

I reckon chefs vapour are going to release their christmas liquids soon. They have already said they were working on 2 or 3. Already revealed that Stollen is one of them and I have a sneaking suspicion that Mince Pie and brandy cream is another :toast:
Yes, that's them - keep looking, but no sign yet!

Speaking of, I've been vaping a roughly 50:50 mix of fluffy nuts and mom and pops apple pie in my kayfun for a few days now, takes the edge off the slightly too cinnamony apple pie with a nice raspberry cakeyness. Mmmmmm

Yee Haaa ! Bloody Lemo`s at fasttech have gone to restocking again
Happened to me today.
Ordered some pyrex tanks the other night, today 3 out of 4 items ready to ship. The forth "Restocking".

Looks like Fattech are slipping backwards, what with Trish,Ian and Terry waiting forever for orders.
A month ago the forums were full of how they'd upped their game, they should read this thread if they want real feedback.
I wonder sometimes on items so small, saving against grief,is it worth it?

Sorry i missed you mate G`night !

 So you come and play out when I've gone to bed

I know some like the clouds, but personally, I'd not be using just VG if I had a choice!

Must admit, I'd much rather have flavour over clouds any day. Extra clouds are just an added bonus

Sounds right up my street that one Trisha, I love a nice dark chocolate too.

You may have seen that I tried the Tiramisu too - lovely and nice coffee forward taste!
I got the Highbrow ones in 100% VG base and asked for extra flavour appropriate for VG - they're fully customisable though and you can even add a dash of cream or vanilla or whatever to anything.

I think you've found a winner there with Highbrow. The extra customisation makes a big difference, all juice suppliers should offer the same level of options :)

Ssh! We'll probably get it now ..and The Sound of Music!
I saw that this year we're getting a bigger percentage of repeats than ever before!

Oh no, not the dreaded Von Trapp family  I really do loathe musicals, why make a perfectly enjoyable film, then spoil it by singing. I'm not saying The Sound of Music is a good film though

Ha-ha you're welcome! Sorry most are VG and the wrong strength, but I thought you could use them to tinker around with and produce something usable :)

You know me well Trisha, I'll soon have those juices knocked into shape

I just opened a ticket with FT RE: the I-sticks which seem to be stuck in limbo, Maybe they can find out whats happened to them.

You know what they'll say Terry - "Please wait another week"

Last thing I want is parcels left with neighbours: one we can't stand and keep well away, and the other three we stopped taking things in for them because they were just taking advantage in a big way and then disrupted the house in the evening asking for them! ..one waited for us to take them to her!!! Made us feel like a parcel depot!

We get that sometimes too. Because The Wife or myself have some days off during the week, we'll get the carriers knocking on the door "can you take a parcel for number 10 please". Had one last week, for the house at the end of the road. Was that peed off with having to take parcels around for the neighbours, I said to the Wife, let her come round and pick it up. It stayed on the bureau in the hall for 3 days, before she decided to come round

I reckon chefs vapour are going to release their christmas liquids soon. They have already said they were working on 2 or 3. Already revealed that Stollen is one of them and I have a sneaking suspicion that Mince Pie and brandy cream is another :toast:

Wonder if they'll do a turkey one too Adam

I bet the "stollen" will be nice though, looking forward to that one :)

If you can't wait for China they can be had here (POTV for 10%)

Added to favourites, cheers Bob. Not a bad price too :)

Speaking of, I've been vaping a roughly 50:50 mix of fluffy nuts and mom and pops apple pie in my kayfun for a few days now, takes the edge off the slightly too cinnamony apple pie with a nice raspberry cakeyness. Mmmmmm

Sounds lovely. It's great when you find 2 juices that mix together well like that.

Happened to me today.

At one time they would have split the order and shipped out the 3 they already had in stock :(

You're right though George, they should read this thread for some feedback. I know it's not FT's fault that post has slowed down, but it is a pain when tracking stops updating all the time. Especially when we've got an iStick race going on
