I stick to all-natural, organic flavors. And I mix my own juice. No artificial sweeteners either.

Sweeteners seem to be something that is Commonly Overlooked when people discuss Inhalation and Safety.

Funny how there are Hundreds of Pages about how Bad Artificial Sweeteners are Health Forums. But almost No Mention of them here.

im very new to vaping but what concerns me a wee bit ,is that if the chinese can put poison into their baby milk powder what may they be putting into our vape juice?

It is my intention to start mixing my own juice
Do you know what happened to the managers responsible for that Chinese incident? And it is a gross mistake to lump all Chinese juice as the same just as you cannot lump all USA juice as the same in regards to ingredients or safety. Now take all of the additives in our USA food that are banned in 100 other countries and reflect on USA safety and the FDA in action.

A legit concern, but to put it in perspective:

Here's the List of ingredients in RJR cigarettes:
Ingredient, Percentage (max), purpose

Acetanisole 0.001 Flavor
Acetic Acid 0.001 Flavor

...

WaterNASolvent, Processing Aid, Humectan

Not to Defend Cigarettes. Or the Practices of RJR.

But in the Interest of Fairness, the Above list I believe is the Total List of All Chemicals that RJR has or did use in All of there Cigarettes Types and Brands.

Any individual Brand does Not Contain the entire list of Chemicals.

Menthol Cigarettes contain the Majority of the Chemicals on this list.

I was quite lucky as early on I found I had a sensitivity to sweeteners. I'm seeing more vapers these days admit to vaping flavorless. It's really not that bad IMO.

Hi,

There are ALOT of flavor juices out there and I really like some of them, but I am worried about with actually those flavorings are and if there are any side effects of sucking those chemicals into your lungs.

I know that vaping is generally safer than smoking but could vaping unknown chemical flavorings persent a higher risk than vaping unflavored juices?

Also do you think that USA made juices are safer than say EU/ Asia made juices. I know there is no regulation for juices and that is quite scary if you really think about it.

thanks

I'm allergic to the artificial flavors and only vape organic.

Yeah... I imagine it would make FDA hearings a lot more interesting if we did the same thing.

I think that Both Unflavored/Sweetened and 0mg is Gaining Momentum. I myself use 0mg more nights than not. Find that I sleep a Little Better. I don't sleep all that well. Never have.

I think when it is all said and done, that inhaling Some Flavorings will be shown to be just as Hazardous, if not worse, as Nicotine in the Long Term. The problem is which ones?

And will Flavored e-Liquids be around long enough to even know which are benign?

Didn't realize that - it does look like there's a substantially "cleaner" list for specific brands.
You CAN see ingredients for specific brands on their website. And PMorris has a list too.

Here's what I smoked for the last couple years of smoking before I stopped:
Tobacco
Water
Sugars (Sucrose and/or Invert Sugar and/or High Fructose Corn Syrup)
Propylene Glycol
Glycerol
Diammonium Phosphate
Cocoa and Cocoa Products
Ammonium Hydroxide
Carob Bean and Extract
Natural and Artificial Flavors

I have really cut back on flavors. When I do use them, I only flavor lightly (DIY)...I use a lot of unflavored - and a lot of 0 nic.

Yeah... But your Different CW.

Anyone who has 38,273 posts since May 2010 does have much time to use an e-Cigarette. You're tying All the Time.

Every time you smell something (car exhaust, cooking aromas, perfume, air fresheners, dryer sheets, and so on) you're inhaling chemicals! Vaporized chemicals... That's what creates the aroma. Doesn't seem to me your lungs know the difference between the aroma when you open the oven door to a pan of sugar cookies and when you vape vanilla e-liquid. Just sayin'...

Hey I'm the First to admit it. I think I was more Addicted to the Chemicals that they put into Cigarettes than I was to Nicotine. And I don't like the Premise and Rationalizations that BT has used as to Why they put these Chemicals into their Tobacco.

But I don't blame BT. They are Heartless !%#@%&'s who could Care Less about you or Me. As long as we have enough Strength to put our Money on the Counter to buy One More Pack of Smokes.

No. I Blame the FDA for letting those !%#@%& Tobacco Companies do what they Did/Do.

BTW - One thing I find Ironic is that Many of the People who are Against e-cigarettes note is that e-Liquids contain Propylene Glycol.

But they have been putting Propylene Glycol into Tobacco for Years on end. And that Propylene Glycol breaks down to some Very Nasty Constitutes at the Temperatures seen on the end of a Burning Cigarette.

But that is OK because of what?

Tax Dollars Maybe? Tax Dollars and Campaign Contributions?

Yeah... But how many people do you see walking around smelling a Dryer Sheet 24-7?

I hear what you are saying. But Dosage Frequency is something that should be Considered when talking about if something is Safe or Not.

I don't think I could go flavorless, but whatever flavors I do use, I never add any extra to, and they are mild flavors to begin with. I'm working my way down to 0% nicotine, my order of juice I put in today is for 12mg and 6mg. I started with 24mg with the cigalikes and gas station e-cigs. Is the flavorless just like breathing air or is it bacco type flavoring and no other crazy flavrs such as coffee etc...?
