Anyone knkow anything about the book "Make your own e-liquid: And other tricks to make your starter kit last forever"?

I got it. Really, it's very short more like a pamphlet and really the only thing you think you're going to learn has to do with extracting nic from tobacco. That is in there but, it's a long way from pure. There actually is a little known area on this forum where these techniques have been discussed. You can learn a lot more there. Here's a link to it. Be careful, you'll be making a dangerous substance and it'll be nasty to boot.

From the chemist's point of view: extracting tobacco leaves gives you a mixture containing also TSNAs (tobacco-specific nitrosamines), which are quite nasty chemicals, as far as health is concerned. Also - if you use processed leaves, not those bought directly from the farmer, you'd extract hundreds of other nasties.
In fact, I'd stick to buying a nic base - much more healthier.
But - I assume everyone is adult here and uses brains.

That was pretty much my first thought. It looked like a great way to concentrate heavy metals among other things along with the nicotine.
