Anyone know if the V3 is just over the horizon?

The menu is very easy to use, I find that I don't really use all the stuff on my evic anyway, all the important things are on the provari that you need with a few clicks of one button. Most of the time the only thing I ever change on either of my devises is the voltage (provari) or wattage (evic) I know you will like it, if you buy it. :)

thanks all, my inly hangup is the fact that it only has one button for traversing through the menu and changing settings, but I do like the "built like a tank" aspect of it... :)

yea the menu becomes second nature after a day or two and only takes a second or two to get where your going.
the ver 3? they said no updates internally are planned at this time. BUT provape has in the past always offered an update program for previous owners. usually send it in and pay like 20 bucks for the new chips. if they ever go to vw im sure it will be a few bucks more but doubt you will have to buy a new mod.

I'm continually amazed by this comment. Once you play around with the single button to change modes for maybe 30 minutes, you'll have it down pat. The most often used modes - voltage up or voltage down - are at the beginning of the menu. How many times a day are you going to check your battery's voltage or atty resistance? The button lets you know when the battery needs to be replace by blinking and increasing in frequency as the battery wears down more.

The only reason I sold my 2 ProVaris were because I couldn't get used to the menu options. I much prefer the 3 click on 3 click off and the 2 side buttons for other options.
Believe me, for the vast majority of owners, the single button issue is not an issue once you've used it. I know many prefer a single button because two additional buttons can cause them to press one of the buttons accidentally and change their settings. So there's two sides of the fence.

All true. I have two Provaris and I like them a lot. But there is plenty of room for improvement in the menu functions and the squishy, imprecise button.

I used both for a few weeks, I agree the quality of the ProVari is excellent, but as I said, the menu to turn it off and on was not for me.
As for the changing the settings by pushing one of the 'other' buttons, my main device is the SVD, which I lock the 2 buttons so this doesn't make this problem happen.
So when I want to turn it on, a quick 123 click and it's on, a quick 123 and it's turned off.
Nice and easy no looking, no messing....'
If ProVari had the easy on and off like the SVD then I would still be using a ProVari, I know it's each and everyone's taste so to speak but it's just not for me. Maybe/Probably I am in the very very small % who thinks like this so it's not important but as it is for me, it is....

I never turn off my provari!
There is no need to, with the design of the button, I carry it in my pocket, and it never fires in my pocket.

Same here! I VERY RARELY change the voltage on mine as well. Last time was 3 months ago when I was drinking and needed a little more oomph due to numb taste buds :)

The only thing I use my menu for is when I change a new carto so I can check to make sure the resistance is right. Other than that, its set it and forget it.Nothing could be simpler.

Yeah, the menu caused me some slight trepidation when I was ordering my first ProVari, but within 5 minutes of having it in my hand I had it down pat. Not only that, but I almost NEVER have to turn the power off on them. Part of why the button has a "different" feel than other devices is what makes it great. You never really have to worry about accidentally firing the device, even if you put it in your pocket. It only fires when you want it to.
