Unfortunately hip issues are pretty common in GSDs, especially those that come from mass breeders. Too many breeders ignore the practice of not breeding dogs with signs of any physical problems, or those that come from a lineage with health problems. They want to make money, so they'll breed any GSD they can get their hands on.
My 8 year old female is starting to show signs of age, but her hips are still good. She doesn't run up stairs like she used to, but she is still active and walks and runs without any signs of pain or discomfort.

I am not sure what all happened but admit me and Andria didn't always agree on some things...however, i hope she changes her mind and returns because she will certainly be missed by me. She was always an interesting person with lots of passion for vaping who made me chuckle at times with her sense of humor and respect her hard hat perspective on things as well. Whatever she ends up doing i wish her well.
