Actually, started out Southern (born in Texas) then a Northerner.Everyone knows you're just a relocated Yankee.
Just never acquired the taste for grits. It's a texture thang.

Here lies Ms Robin...she was a good soul and praised by many, loved by us all. It was a sad, sudden and swift death, from the moment she proclaimed her dislike for grits, she knew the end was near./me gettin ready for my hanging
With noose in hand @retired1 lead her to the gallows. Had she only fibbed a lil she might still be with us today.

I am 100% GRITS!As a Southerner, Grits are a staple for me. Hold the cheese and throw in some butter and salt. Nom Nom Nom Nom NomThere is another meaning for grits (as an acronym): Girls Raised In The South. My Aunt out of South Carolina sold clothing items with this plastered all over them.

It's ok. I was born and raised in the South and (a bit scared to say this) I don't like iced tea. Makes me sick to my stomach for some reason. I also don't like seafood of any type. Not liking tea or fish where fish fries are abundant is almost considered a sin.

Interesting, I get made fun of on a regular basis because I cannot stand Iced Tea. I'm told I'm the only southerner who does not drink Iced Tea. Now there are twoIt's ok. I was born in North Florida, but moved to South Jawja when I was 7. Lived there until '98, when I moved to middle Jawja.

If you ever do try them, make sure you add salt and butter! They aren't that great just plain. (as they are normally served)

Iced tea with lemon is yankee tea and usually unsweetened.
Sweet tea is just that...sweet tea, ya'll ever seent the movie House Party? Know the KoolAid they made on House Party? You don't won't it that sweet...but real damn close!

I love Sweet Tea! Does that redeem me, somewhat?
Interesting thread, I should hang out on the ECF more often. I'm a born and raised New Englander, but I like grits, ice tea and seafood.
