Anyone like the idea of V4L 'mega' cartos?

If it gets the V4L seal of approval, I'd be very happy with it - of course. It's gotta meet Steve's standards before I'd buy it tho. Same with a mod, been waiting for a V4L mod or screwdriver. Also a line of home-made e-juice, w/Mboro Red and 60Ml bottles. I have a few other things on my wish list, can't wait to see what's in store for us.

I love the idea of the clear cartos too, where you can see how much juice is there & when to refill. I haven't ordered any that are currently available because I don't think the quality is there yet. Read about a lot of problems with leaking and cracking too (possibly from oils/acids in some juices). If V4L could come up with a quality clear carto, I'd be all over it.

Man, I would love v4l mega cartos. Just bought a few "Clear" ones from another place, and they are the smelliest, leakiest things ever. Nothing like burnt plastic taste and 1 ml of leakage inside your carrying case.
I'd also like a PCC that was bigger (or thicker) and held 2 standard or XL batts and "2 mega cartos" or whatever they end up being called.
SMILIN, shooting you a quick PM, I have an idea that I am too lazy to develop, but want myself, and others may too.

The Ego Mega carto's are awesome.....when you get one that works. I bought a pack of 5 from litecig, filled them and only 2 of the 5 worked. The rest all had 3 ml of juice in them and gave off nothing but a nasty metallic taste, then didn't work at all.

Vendors response was "ohh well" so never again.... least not until they improve the design.

the deal with the mega and the problem is try to boil 10 gal of water takes a while. Now think of an e-cig to get vapor you heat up a coil hot enough to vape and there is a wick in between the coil, on a mega by the time you get it hot enough you are already burning the wick that is the burnt taste you get plus you have more fibers around the wick so it will not cool off as quick inbetween. Now I bet v4l is working to see what wick can take the heat and not burn out. They will get it but there like me my name is on it it will be the best or not happen.

I'm the kind of vaper who likes to grab and go each day, so long-lasting cartos appeal to me. Just wondering if you or anyone else here would support a disciplined campaign for some V4L extra-long cartos--CoolCarts or prems--that hold roughly twice the normal juice. What say you?

And for the more technically minded souls out there... why does it seem to be harder to produce a mega carto that delivers full taste? I've tried a couple of megas from other suppliers, and while the vape time and amount of vapor are great, the flav is notably less full and even a bit metallic to my buds. V4L's standard CCs, in comparison, taste wonderfully rich and smooth. Is it even possible to get that same flav in a longer carto? Questions, questions, I know...:2cool:

i'd guess the limiting factor on an xl carto is its ability to wick the juice. i carry a PCC with two cartos, and switch between them thru the day so the juice can redistribute between vapes. at the end of the day, i toss the two cartos in the "refill" box. when i do my refills, including new coolcarts, i taryn spin them empty, put all the juice back together in a bottle and shake it all up. VERY frequently, i will spin more juice out of a used carto that i thought was getting low, than a brand new coolcart. i'll have thought that carto was close to empty, and remove almost a full condom cap's worth of juice from it.

so what i'd rather have than more capacity of juice, is better wicking ability. feed that atty consistently until the carto is dry.

opinions?

I agree! I just did that with a carto that tasted empty, yet ended up being full of juice! I wish there was a way to tell when the carto is dead.

One other method I found to accomplish the same thing is to fill up five cool carts and put them each on a freshly charged battery and throw them all into my shirt pocket. Then as I vape throughout the day, I just randomly grab one and go to town. The odds of vaping one dry in a 9 or 10 hour day is almost nonexistent, and this way I seem to always get a perfect vape and the carts last me at least a month without rinsing. This could be considered the lazy mans approach, but it sure beats carrying any juice with me and refilling.

i think that's a good idea. with a regular, old skool cigarette case, that has just an elastic strap to hold cigs in place, you could line them up in there, just like analogs!
