I started off buying pre-mixed juices just to try different flavors that I would like. Soon I bought the flavor extracts, nic liquid, and Vg and began mixing my own. I still might pick up a pre-mixed if a flavor sounds really good. But I do like the hands on, being able to adjust nic level, kick it up with a new combination of flavor DIY.

I usually don't recommend DIY juice making to people with "suicide" in there usernames, :) j/k

I have bought pre-filled cartomizers and pre-made juices and I just made my first order of DIY stuff last week. Part of what I love about it is I can easily adjust nic levels and PG/VG ratios to whatever I want. It is also very cost effective.

For instance, One of the things that I seem to be enjoying is menthol. It is really very cheap to just buy a large quantity of Nicotine liquid, PG, VG and Menthol liquid(or crystals) and I have a huge supply and I can adjust the nic level and flavor strength as I want?

I highly recommend DIY. I had a nice experience with OneStopDIYshop. But check out the DIY subforum, lots of info there.

Just be sure you are aware of the Dangers posed my handling High nic juice and are confident of your ability to handle it safely and securely. All Nicotine juice should be handled carefully, but once you get over 36mg/ml, into 60 and 100mg/ml you should be prepared to handle it as if you were in a lab environment.

I haven't been DIYing for very long, but I wish that I had started sooner. I was easily going through $75 worth of juice a month (around 150mL). The initial investment for me was around $100, but more than half of that was flavorings that will probably last me a year; I got all my flavors in 1oz sizes. Now, all I really need to buy is PG/VG base ($5 for 250mL) and nicotine base (around $10 for 30mL of 48mg, which should last me maybe a 1-2 months). Plus, you can get creative and not waste too much money; I do 5mL no-nic trial runs for new recipes. That way if I don't like it, then most of what I'm throwing away is the inexpensive PG/VG base. Sometimes you'll even try a combo that sounds like it will be gross, but it ends up being a total winner (like the orange cream, cheesecake, menthol juice I made today).

I have been vaping for a little over two months now. Started off by buying the pre-mixed juices. Have just started to make my own. It is fun a lot cheaper and the stuff I make have a lot more flavor. I get the nicotine juice from either Nicvape or My Freedom Smoke vg and pg from My Freedom Smoke both have really great prices and the flavoring from One stop Diy Shop and DIYFlavorshack The flavorings are cheap and you can come with all kinds of creations.

You're right it does sound gross. :?:

I tried bacon and ice cream and was amazed that it tasted good. (I went through a huge kick of trying to flavor vanilla ice cream and had dozens of bottles of experiments sitting around. Shockingly bacon ice cream was the best of the bunch.)

You never know what you might discover while doing this....

Some things that sound great taste just the opposite...

I agree completely. The only reason why I tried it is because my daily vape is usually a menthol-based juice, and I made a batch of orange cream cheesecake to test out. I liked how it tasted.....like an orange cream soda with a hint of cheesecake. I had my menthol crystal mix out so I figured "Why the hell not? If I don't like it then I'm only wasting 5mL." Turns out, 2 drops of menthol made a good juice even better. Now I'm really curious how it will be after a few days of steeping. But I'm sure that it could have just as easily ended up down the sink....they joys of DIY

Yep, just started about a month ago so far my favorites are cinnamon-apple,watermelon-bubblegum,and red bull cinnamon with just a dash of menthol. imo sweetner and steeping have been the best things for my diy juices. nicvape has been my best friend

I have been really loving the do it yourself stuff - I just started last week. I am amazed how much I like menthol, as I could not stand menthol cigs. I am probably going to start adding it to everything. :)

I had to reply to you because my favorite "concoction" so far is one I made with The Flavor Apprentice concentrates: Red Cow with some Cinnamon and menthol. Pretty simple, I know, but I got so excited I posted the recipe in the DIY section(called it Atomic Bull) and nobody responded so I figured I was the only one that likes stuff like that. I bought a bunch of other stuff but including sweetener that I still have to play around with.

Wow, I had no idea how popular it was- It's obviously going to be an option for me to try it. I saw the newbie videos that lady had put together. My girlfriend is heavily interested in the idea and while shes in school right now for another major she looked over my shoulder and saw a few of them and said she should have been a mixologist.

Anyways, I'm going to order some stuff and try it out. I'm a big fan of the heavy thick smoke instead of nicotine. Smoked for only 5 years and I've been off for about a month and a half. Hell, the nic even burnt my mouth and throat even trying to use the carts it came with (bad idea if you ask me)
