anyone notice a flavor difference in nicotine strength?

Yes, the nic content will affect flavor, in general. Depends on the flavor and what's in it, but usually, the higher the nicotine, the more it can dull the flavor. Some companies compensate for this, but I doubt most do. I found one vendor that let you choose the strength of the flavor, and recommended more flavor for higher nicotine, but I can't recall which one it was.

I have found that I lost some TH going from 18 to 12 mg...not really missing the nic rush, but might go back up to 18 as it was a more 'smoke-like' fulfilling hit. Lower nicotine still delivers flavor, but the hit is much less 'harsh' - which is either a positive or a negative depending on your preferences. I, for one, like to feel the hit as well as see the vapor.
